Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 2, 2017 "Are you Charles?" A voice spoke, belonging none other than Minerva. As always, she was as radiant and as lovely as she wished to present herself to be. Of course, she was a demon. Such abilities to present one self to lure mortals was all part of the game that they all played. "Nice to meet you." Minerva said with a small smile, taking a seat right across Charles as she offered her hand to him. "I am Minerva. I believe you have heard of me from your acquaintances. Just like I have heard of you." Minerva said, her voice purring. "I am glad that you have decided to meet up with me, for as sad as it is, the news I bring to you are the most upsetting." Minerva said, sounding almost genuinely said as she spoke. A server brought her a cup of coffee, which she accepted and thanked. She took a sip, before continuing her tale. "You own a brothel, do you not? Well, I apologize for being the bearer of bad news, but...your brothel was...destroyed." She said, allowing a minute or two for that to sink in. "Destroyed is a light term for it, actually. If I am to be more specific, every single person who was unlucky enough to be unable to escape was slaughtered, and then the place set on fire with explosions to a point that all that was left of it was ashes. Even now, currently, a new building is on its way to being built on where it once stood...I do apologize that you have to learn this way." Minerva explained as she drank more of her coffee, allowing everything she just said to let it sink into Charles' skull. "However, that is not the only reason I came here. I actually came here to also make up for your losses, if you are interested in hearing."
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 2, 2017 "Y-Yes, Charles Everus." Charles took Minerva's hand, shaking slightly and kissing Minerva's hand. "B-Bad news?" the man had a stutter in his voice, almost if he were overwhelmed by Minerva's radiance. Minerva was one of the most beautiful women he has seen. Almost as beautiful as his prized little doll. "I do own a brothel! Brothel Elizabeth VI! It is the most charming place with many beautiful girls! The prized possession being my darling Aya...~" he then boast, but then his voice dying out as Minerva finished her sentence. "Destroyed...?" he barely muttered. "S-Slaughtered?!! P-Please tell me my doll wasn't in that bunch....oh if she was..." Charles brought a hand to his head and breathed a bit heavily, pushing up his glasses when Minerva decided to speak once more. "Have you found out who did this. If they took my precious doll away from me...I will have them killed. Please, explain to me what you know." the man was a trembling mess, and his speech was slurred and foul. Charles really was a drunken fish.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 2, 2017 Minerva smirked as she continued to drink her coffee. This reaction is much what she expected. It was actually pathetic to watch. Some humans had valor, worth, and made demons like herself become awe in wonder. Then there were these types of humans, who were pathetic, useless, like worms in the ground with only one worth in this world, to be fertilizer for those who came after. But sadly, this human, as much of trash that he was, had a more important purpose, to which Minerva and Noir had to take care of. "Well, I doubt anyone you know will be able to take care of the problem that took down your brothel. Please allow me to explain." Minerva said as she settled down her cup of coffee. "You see, what took down your brothel wasn't human. It was actually, a demon." She began. "An unruly demon that was working outside of orders and juristic, and because of such error of watching over such a creature, he ended up destroying your property and employees, to which we heavily apologize for. However, because it was on our watch that it happened, I am here to offer you our services." Minerva said as she offered her hand. "I, myself, am a demon as well. I am here to serve as your bodyguard and servant until we are able to repay for the mistake that one of our own has done." Minerva explained with a smile. From behind Charles, a new figure appeared seemingly out of thin air. None other than Noir. "I do understand if you do not believe us, but we then ask for you to test us, in hopes of us proving that we mean what we say." Noir said as he walked around the table and stood behind Minerva. Both of their eyes were sharp, in the shape of that belonging of a demon. They both bowed their heads. "Allow us to serve you, Charles Evarus. Whatever you desire, we shall try to gain." Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 2, 2017 "A d-demon?!" Charles almost burst out. Thankfully, there was hardly anybody in this cafe. "I have known of rumors of the supernatural, and at one point worshiped them in hopes to achieve my desires...and here two demons are..." he was dumbfounded, in complete awe. "I-If you say that you will offer your services...than I want to find my doll once more...and I want to work for the Queen and be honored by her. I want people to fall at my feet in admiration!" Charles threw his arms up in the air. "You can do that, can't you? You are a demon! I then desire the most pure and small of women, to be at my side at all times! I command you to make it so my dreams of a high life can really come true! My brother always seemed to get the recognition, and once he was gone, I got none! It all went to that damn rat of a child!! I want her again...all to myself. I want her to suffer and curl to my words!!" the man was just going on and on, laughing hysterically. "You can do it! Can't you demons?!" he sounded much more...harsh now. Commanding even.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 3, 2017 Minerva and Noir glanced at each other in amusement, before turning back to Charles. "We will do what we can to make it all so for you." Noir insisted as he looked down at Minerva. "Minerva will be able to charm whoever you wish. Simply point at them and she shall user her charm to make them fall head over heels for you." Noir insisted as he smiled. "And I will be able to bring any enemies to their knees if that is what you ask of me." Minerva spoke up, giggling slightly. "Actually, speaking about the Queen, we have something that should be more than intriguing for you, Charles." Minerva said as she took out an envelope seemingly out of nowhere, sliding it to Charles. "These invitations are for a party. A birthday party of the Queen herself. Now, these invitations aren't even supposed to be delivered until a week before the party, but as we are, we have managed to get them earlier than anyone else." Minerva said as she drank the last of her coffee. "This invitation is for you. Hopefully this pleases you? By the time we do arrive at the party, if you wish to go, we will make sure you arrive with the graces and the magnificence that you deserve. I will look for women to be at your side wherever you go." Minerva said. "And I will look for material things to impress all around you. From clothing to jewels from beyond this world, I will bring it to you." Noir said as he moved his hands, almost like a magician, having a velvet box appear in his hands before opening it, demonstrating the inside filled with a large ring made out of gold and jewels that would give the Queen a run for her money. "So, shall we begin getting you ready for the party, my lord?"
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 3, 2017 "An invitation to see the Queen!! You demons are unlike anything I would have imagined! I am sure the Queen will be shocked to have an Everus back in her presence!" the man clapped his hands together, this was promising for him. Charles marveled at the ring, taking the velvet box. "Yes! Let all three of us get started!" he exclaimed, standing up. Meanwhile, at the Pandora manor, after helping Samael remove some lace from the dress they were working on, and the dress Aya was previously wearing, she turned her eyes to Veran who was kind of sulking from what Alexander had told him. "Veran did you manage to take care of the first two?" she then asked. "Oh, yes. Without a hitch. It was...quite enjoyable. Especially getting rid of that nun..." Veran chuckled and Aya just kind of stared at him. "Well, I have had fun working with Samael today. It was nice being able to get my head out of everything." Aya then turning to Samael and smiling slightly. "They didn't do anything when I was gone did they." Veran then asked Alexander in a rather hushed voice. Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 4, 2017 Samael smiled as he chuckled. "I'm always happy to spend time with you, Aya. I'm glad I was able to help you get your mind off things, especially after such dreadful business that you have to go through." Samael said. Sometimes Alexander swore that he could see hearts floating around those two whenever they were together. As Veran asked if they did anything while they were gone, Alexander saw it fit for revenge. She smiled wickedly, leaning closer to Veran as he wrapped his arms around him to press his lips to his ears. "They kissed~" ~Day of the Birthday Party~ It had been a few weeks. Much to Veran and Aya's dismay, they were nowhere near close of finding out Charles' whereabouts. He was nothing but an enigma in the air. He had left no trace, no clues, nothing for them to follow behind him, and they were running out of time. But tonight, they could at least try and enjoy themselves. It was a birthday party after all. Samael fixed his hair as he wore the matching outfit. "You look as stunning as ever, Samael." Alexander smiled, helping him fix up the back of his outfit. Alexander sighed. "You're growing up too fast, Samael. I can barely catch up with you anymore." Alexander said. "Come on, I'm still pretty young! You've got my whole life to be with me." Samael said cheerfully. Alexander chuckled. "I guess so." ... Somewhere, in a privately owned home within London, Charles had been staying there thanks to Noir and Minerva doing all the work. Currently he was surrounded by many beautiful women, all happy and giggling and more than content to make sure Charles was happy and bid to his every whim. Where they were from no one knew, Minerva just kept bringing them in as if they had come up from thin air, not that it appeared that Charles was bothered by it, though. "Charles. You should get ready to leave soon. We do not want you to be late for the Queen's party, after all." Noir said, bowing slightly at Charles. Noir had brought him only the best of clothes and items that one could possibly ask for. Again, no one questioned where he had gotten such items. "Minerva has prepared your carriage. I assure you that you will like it, once you see it." Noir insisted. The carriage
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) "They kissed~" If Veran could die from words, he just did. KISSED? Samael...and Aya?? The mans mouth was wide open and his face shocked, Aya paying no heed to this, taking Veran out of the room and bidding goodbye. "Aya...you two kissed....?" he was dumbfounded. "O-Oh I guess Alexander told you..." she blushed a bit wildly as they walked back to her manor. "Y-Yes..." the demon muttered out. "Don't worry Veran, you'll get your turn once the time comes for the contract to be complete." Aya gave a small wink to Veran and walked a bit ahead. Veran sighed as he watched Aya walk into the distance. "How beautiful and foolish. Even when you know your fate is near...and yet you act carelessly. Falling in love with someone whom in the end you will have to kill." Veran sighed, smiling just the slightest and walking after Aya. ~~~ It had been a couple of weeks, and by them it was time for the party. Veran's belt full of his special bullets (in which he has upgraded since the Pirate trip), and normal bullets. "Aya I want you to take your gun." Veran broke the silence of the room, Aya was fixing up her hair. "I will Veran. We have to be prepared just in case anything is to happen. Now...let's go meet up with Samael." Aya reaching out from her drawer and grabbing her gun and a small pouch of bullets, stashing them away within the pockets of her dress. They were then off to Samael's manor. ~~~ Charles had finished changing and stepped outside, Minerva and Noir behind him. "A-Absolutely wonderful!! I hope all the nobles will marvel at me as soon as they see me step out with you, Minerva, at my side!" Charles tucking the invitation into his coat pocket. Charles Everus entered the carriage, followed by Minerva, unknowing the fact that his nephew and her demon would be there...simply waiting on finding him wherever they were to go. Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 5, 2017 "They're here." Alexander called, watching them arrive through the window. Samael gasped happily. "Perfect! Oh I'm so excited!" Samael said as he was about to run off downstairs to greet them. "Wait, Samael." Alexander said as he offered him a gun. A family heirloom belonging to his father, passed down to him. "I suggest you take this. Just in case." Alexander insisted. "Alright. I will." Samael said as he picked up the gun and set it it somewhere safe in the inner pockets of his jacket. "Now you may go greet them." Alexander said. Samael didn't hesitate, hurrying over down the stairs to meet with Aya. "There you are, Aya." Samael said, stopping as he smiled much too happily. "Wow...you look stunning. I mean, you always look stunning! But right now you look stunning for the occasion!" Samael said, gently taking her hand kissing it. "You're going to steal away all of the attention from the Queen, with such beauty of yours." Samael said, winking at her, not afraid to flirt even with Veran there. Alexander was soon by his side, ready to tease the living hell out of Veran once more. "Hello, Veran. Will we be taking your carriage or ours?" Alexander asked with a smirk. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) "We both will steal the attention of the Queen of course." Aya smiling and letting Samael take her hand. "Maybe you will be able to advertise your new winter collection at the party." Aya continued as her and Samael headed outside. "We will take mine. I hope you do not mind sitting in the front with me." Veran starting to walk out, stopping Alexander. "Alexander. You will protect Samael with your life...even if anything happens to him...am I correct?" he then asked, turning to the other butler. "Alexandre. J'ai besoin de toi pour protéger Samael pour Aya. Si à tout moment elle lui dit de s'enfuir ... S'il vous plaît, prenez Samael loin. Comme le majordome d'Aya ... et comme le tien et l'ami de Samael. Veuillez le protéger pour nous." Veran began speaking French to Alexander, knowing he was biligual, Veran putting a hand on Alexander's shoulder. "Je vous remercie." he then added, walking outside. Rough translation: "Alexander. Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 5, 2017 "I wouldn't mind at all." Alexander said. Being with Veran up front? More chances of teasing the living crap out of him. He helped Aya and Samael onto the carriage, Samael holding Aya's hand as they got on. He closed the door behind them and got on next to Veran, the two leading the carriage away to the grand palace for the party. Before he could speak more on the matter, Alexander listened to Veran, gently nodding. "Veran. I was born into the service of this family. Everything I know, and do, is for the sake of this family that I have loved as my own, as it is the only thing I know. So do not underestimate me." Alexander said as he looked over at Veran. "J'ai fait une promesse à madame Pandora bien avant sa mort, que je protégerais son unique enfant des maux de ce monde. Si quelqu'un, ou quelque chose veut nuire à Samael, ils devront traverser mon corps froid et mort ... qui inclut vous, et votre maître, Veran." Alexander spoke, perfectly despite not being his native tongue. For the rest of the ride, he decided to remain silent. Once they arrived, as expected, it was grand. The security included knights and police alike. Only the best of the best seemed to attend the party, wearing some of their finest attires. Alexander and Veran pulled up with the carriage, quickly getting off to attend to Aya and Samael as one of the staff took over the carriage to park it and take care of the horses. Alexander opened the door, allowing Samael to step out as he helped Aya. "Ready, milady?" Samael teased, walking with Aya hand in hand, Alexander and Veran following behind. They showed their invitations and were allowed inside. Inside was filled with people from all over London, including from all around the world. Business people, famous actors, models, ambassadors of other countries, all attending the Queen's birthday. Of course, the two walking in hand in hand caused gossip among the people. "Is that Lady Evarus with the Lord of Pandora?!" "Look at them, they're so cute together!" "I say that it fits them. Two cursed children together to make a cursed couple." "Their matching outfits are absolutely adorable!" --- Translation: "I made a promise to madam Pandora long before her death, that I would protect her one and only child from the evils of this world. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) Veran and Alexander were kind of awkwardly walking behind Samael and Aya. Veran standing a bit close to Aya and trying to avoid Alexander after the other butlers threat. Queen Victoria sitting proudly towards the back of the Crystal Palace, a marvelous place for a party to be held. Other people cleared the way for Samael and Aya as they approached the Queen. "Your majesty, we thank you for your invitation. It is an honor to be invited to such an event." Aya said, curtsying to the Queen, Veran bowing beside her. "We have brought Lord Pandora and butler Alexander Howle. You also know Veran Sterben." Aya introduced the party. "Ohh..yes. It is always an honor to see my guard dog, and two wonderful clothes designers here. I suppose you made those outfits yourself? I have seen many people attending here today wearing Everus and Pandora products." the Queen had a gentle, soft tone to her voice. She may have been a Queen, but to Aya she was like a big grandmother. She may give Aya the most tough of jobs, but Aya admired the queen to no end. "Yes, Your majesty. Thank you so much." Aya was quite flattered. "Go enjoy yourselves, there is much to do!" the Queen then encouraged, Aya smiling and turning to Samael. "Thank you so much Queen Victoria. Happy birthday." Aya curtsied once more, and they joined in the crowds. Edited January 8, 2017 by Madam Ciel Nekohive
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) Alexander Howle. As they retreated to the party, multiple people came to greet them as well. From fans and regulars of their dresses and designs, to those who had met their parents long before they became the sole airs. "It's so nice to see you, Lady Evarus." "An honor to meet the heiress of the Evarus fortune." "Lord Pandora, look at you! All grown up! You're looking more like your father every passing year." "You two make a very wonderful looking couple." "We would definitely love to make acquaintances with you, for business and all." The compliments and encouragements of the patrons and guests went on. Samael was more than happy as he held Aya's hand. It made him happy to see that people agreed that their union indeed seemed to be something good, prosperous, and happy, compared to their personal lives who by all means, have been overcome by tragedies by all kind. For once, it seemed to him, two wrongs could make a right. Alexander smiled proudly by his master. To see him actually have a good time after such a long time. It made him content. However he was definitely not appreciating the attention he was receiving from the young, obviously single young ladies that seemed to flush and murmur around him. At least, he wasn't the only one, as Veran also had a fan club right behind him. From the outside, Charles' carriage arrived, stopping right in front of the gates. The sight of the carriage alone caused murmur and awe in those who were outside. Noir opened the door, helping Minerva out before helping Charles out. Minerva alone looked like a goddess, who by all means had come down from the heavens to be with Charles, holding his arm lovingly with a smile on her face. "It is time to reclaim your rightful place, Charles." Minerva said. --- Minerva's dress Edited January 8, 2017 by Stardustblade358 1 Clouded Sun reacted to this
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) Aya was a little bit nervous at such a big party, but with the presence of Samael and Veran, there was not much to fear. The violins began playing their tune, and Veran took the hands of one of the women behind him, the almost flaunting down as soon as he did. So the dance began, the pace matching the beautiful tone of the song. As the song began, Charles entered, admiring the many, many people at the party. "What an honor to be here." Charles greeted some of the guest, and took Minerva's hand. "Let us dance, Minerva." they joined the pace, a beautiful swaying motion. Some people switching partners in between, and Veran ending up dancing with Aya at one point, Samael and Alexander pairing up. Veran looked at Aya and just smiled. He wasn't supposed to get attached to his master...but Veran was already attached to her. Charles took the hand of many others, the women taking a good long look at him. And everything in Aya's world seemed to stop when a hand took hers and pulled her away from Veran. Veran letting the other man, and going off to another, but Aya's eyes met the mans and she froze, the music slowly coming to a stop. Charles had took her hand...but Charles didn't realize it was her yet. He went back to Minerva's side and Veran went back to Aya's, followed by Samael and Alexander. Aya was frozen. "Ahh...he took you away. I shouldn't have let him." Veran teased. Aya looked to Veran. "Veran...mein Onkel." Aya transitioned to German. "Was?" Veran questioned. "Dieser Mann war mein Onkel, Veran!" Aya spoke up some. Veran turned to Alexander. "Alexandre, l'oncle d'Aya est ici. S'il vous plaît éloignez Samael de lui. Il est de notre devoir de nous débarrasser de Charles. S'il vous plaît informer la reine qu'il ya un criminel ici ... mais ne causent pas de tumulte. Aucun peuple ne peut le savoir." Veran suddenly commanded to Alexander. Veran stood in front of Aya, and looked over at the direction that Charles went. Minerva was with him. Translation: "Veran...my uncle" "What" "That was my uncle, Veran!" Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 9, 2017 Alexander's eyes widened as he looked at Veran, just to see the expression of his face. He had to be joking. This had to be a cruel joke. But...no. It wasn't. Oh damn. Alexander nodded. "Be careful, then. We don't want to end up the entire place seeing a butler kill a nobleman." He whispered. He ushered to the Queen, first, quickly informing her of the matter at hand, but assuring her that Veran would do all possible to keep this from becoming a bloodbath. The Queen simply smiled, a small smirk forming at the edge of her lips. "I do not worry." She said. "This should make things very interesting, actually. I am eager to see my Watchdog work before my own eyes." The Queen insisted. Alexander could not help but to feel a chill run down his spine on these words. He retreated from the Queen, quickly retrieving his master. He had to protect him from this mess. At all costs. "My lord, I have found a balcony that can provide a less crowded and loud place for you and your friends to speak." Alexander suggested. "But I wish to remain with Aya-" Samael protested, but Alexander quickly interrupted. "She should be fine. She has her butler after all." Alexander insisted. Samael paused, reading his butler's expressions. Luckily, the nobles he was speaking with seemed to agree. "Come on.I want to see the gardens for myself, actually. Will be less of a headache than to try to speak over the music and chatter." The nobleman said with a cheerful smile. Samael sighed, but quickly nodded. "Yes, of course. Alexander, will you bring us drinks and treats?" Samael asked. "Whatever you ask of me, my lord." Alexander said, quickly ushering Samael to one of the balconies. He gave Veran one last look before he pulled on the curtains of such balcony closed, to give them a bit more privacy...and to avoid Samael seeing something he would regret to see. Minerva walked with Charles, men eyeing at Charles with notable envy that such a beauty would be with a man like him. "Shall we present ourselves to the Queen, Charles?" Minerva suggested. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 9, 2017 "You will not be doing so, Minerva." Veran stepped out in front of the two, Aya behind him. Veran was actually a little pissed when he heard that the Queen wanted to watch what was very soon going to become bloodbath. "Never thought we'd see each other after the event at the Doctors house. We've taken the boy you traumatized in as our own." Veran placed his hand on his demon gun, his eyes then turning to Charles. "I should have expected seeing you here. Charles Everus." The crowd began mummering, some looking to Aya. "My master has wanted to destroy you ever since the day I rescued her, you rotten fish." He said louder. Some guards began moving people into other rooms and out of the way. "Master? Minerva, who is this man?" Charles was beginning to fear, and then Aya stepped out from behind Veran, her gun drawn. "It's been a while...hasn't it? Uncle." She spoke in a tone so cold, Veran was actually surprised. "A-Aya...? Aya! My darling doll!! You are alive!!" Charles started walking to Aya, but was met with Veran's gun pressed to his head. "You will not be touching Aya." Veran's eyes were red and sharp. "M-Minerva! Protect me..." Charles sputtered. 1 Clouded Sun reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) The music stopped, the tension rising so thick it could be cut with a knife. All eyes were on them, especially on the remaining members of the Evarus family. Minerva scowled, quickly pulling Charles behind her as she stood between him and Veran's gun. "This, Charles, is the reason of the destruction of your business. Aya summoned him, and destroyed everything you worked so hard for. Now Aya has it like dog on a leash." Minerva explained, smirking at Veran. "Go ahead, dear. Pull the trigger. Everyone is watching, after all. Who do you think will be at fault once you do? Us, two innocent guests here to pay our respects to the Queen and have fun, or you, a silly butler who has suddenly pulled a gun out straight at us!" Minerva said, rather exaggerated to make sure her point came across. It was the truth, and indeed, all eyes were on them. All of the most powerful, prestigious, and important eyes of all of London, if not of all of England. Suddenly the tension was shattered once a powerful voice began to speak up. "My my, what a surprise!" It was the Queen. Just like that, all eyes turned on her. "To think that I would get to see two of the Evarus on my birthday, when a year ago I thought there were none left, this is indeed, a good day for me." The Queen said, sounding sincere as a smirk spread across her face. "I assume this is all about which Evarus will take the position of Watchdog, is it not? Oh dear. How troublesome. But worry not, because I have a solution that can solve all of our problems." The Queen said, never once moving from her throne as her eyes landed on Aya and Charles. "Seeing that it is my birthday, and this matter needs to be solved, I only see it proper that this to be solved in the way that our ancestors once did...through an honorable duel!" The Queen said, receiving gasps from everyone, including her own guards. The Queen waved at one of them, whispering something at him before he retreated to look for something. "Aya Evarus, and Charles Evarus, will duel by the way of the sword, in the name of their Queen, for the honor, prestige and right, to be my Watchdog. Whoever yields...or dies first, shall lose, and the winner will be my Watchdog, until the day of their death. There shall be no internecine, just between the Evarus. That is how it shall go." The Queen ordered. The guards looked at each other, and then began to make even more space in the center, to give room for the duel. Minerva pursed her lips. "This is an unexpected turn." Minerva hissed. Soon, a guard came by, holding a briefcase. He opened it to reveal two rapier dueling swords. Two other knights took the swords, each taking one before proceeding to kneel down to each of the Evarus, offering them the swords. "Milady." The soldier said, his head bowed as he offered Aya the rapier. As the other soldier walked over and knelt down in front of Charles, the soldier glanced up slightly with a smile, only to reveal that it was Noir in disguise, quickly giving Charles a look of 'don't tell anyone'. Minerva smirked, whispering to Charles. "Your sword is modified. Each time you strike Aya or the swords connect, it shall send a jolt of electricity to her, causing pain to her body and muscles with every hit. Surely, this will help you win, my Charles?" Minerva whispered, before landing a kiss on his cheek, as if of good luck. --- Edited January 9, 2017 by Stardustblade358
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 10, 2017 "Y-You are the one who destroyed my business?" Charles met eyes with Veran. "That I did." Veran gave a devilish smile, lowering his gun as the Queen spoke. Aya's eyes turned to the Queen, and then Charles. "A duel, your majesty?" Aya questioned, her eyes looking to Veran. "I will allow my master to partake in the duel under one condition, my Queen. This duel cannot be rigged, under no circumstances." Veran raised his voice, looking to Queen Victoria. "...Very well." the Queen bowed her head to Aya. The guards approached Aya, and she took the rapier. Charles taking his with a smile. His was rigged, he had to win the battle then! Veran's eyes were paste on Charles and Minerva. "Take your positions!" a guard called, Aya taking a deep breath. Veran wasn't going to let her get killed. He couldn't. Charles looked to Aya with a grim smile on his face. "I suppose that my little doll will just turn into a rotten rat, won't she?" Charles threatened. Aya reached around to the tie on her eyepatch, letting it fall to the floor. She would need two eyes for this. "Fight!" the guards voice rang out. And with that, the duel began. Aya switched on her heel, and went after Charles. With a draw back of her sword, the two clashed. And Charles looked up into Aya's eyes and smiled, Aya's eyes going wide and looking at Charles with a look of disgust as the electric current from Charles's modified sword went jolting though her body, Aya stepping back and biting her lip. "What the f**k is that." she cursed openly, cutting her eyes at Charles. "A little present from my darling~" he smiled, looking at Aya. "That is breaking the rules." Aya yelled at her uncle. "Oh little rat, you didn't make any list of set rules. Besides, you break the rules all the time, don't you?" Charles took a step forwards, swooping to Aya, Aya dropping to the ground to avoid the cut, and kicking Charles in the shin. "I break rules for a good reason too." She crawling back some, pulling herself back up. Veran stared at Aya, then turning his eyes to Minerva. "Minerva, please come with me." Veran was at her side in a second, gripping onto her wrist and pulling the woman into another room. "You gave Charles that sword, didn't you? Only so he could win? You are an extremely foul demon, aren't you?" his face was a little too close to hers, and it was a look only a demon could give. "Demons like you don't belong on earth." 1 Clouded Sun reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 12, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GH-DbRhp4BQ The guards kept between the fighting and the guests. The guests watched in awe, some cheering and clapping at the amusing and astounding sight. Others were already beginning to make bets among each other. Samael could hear the commotion, and he and his friends stepped out of the balcony to take a look. "What is going on?" "Seems something has occurred." "I can't see anything, though." Samael murmured. He looked around, taking note how there were balconies on the second floor. "Let's get to higher ground." With that, Samael rushed off to get a better look, Alexander behind him. "Wait, my lord, wait up!" Meanwhile, Minerva simply laughed happily at Veran, amused by his statement. "Oh and demons like you do?" She teased, smirking as their faces were mere inches apart. "Don't tell me that you have gotten too attached to this world, Veran. Too attached to its humans. The same kind that turned on you in your most desperate of hours, making you who you are today. Do you really feel that you need to repay them in some way? Even if this world is to disappear, you would still exist. All of these souls would make all of us stronger for the next generation to come!...so answer me, Veran. Why do you feel that you need for fight for these mortals? Have you really gotten so weak as to get attached to them?" 1 Clouded Sun reacted to this
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 12, 2017 "My current life on earth here with Alexander, Samael, and my master Aya has been good up until the other demons decided to start awakening the damn beast we both know is underneath us." Veran looked back to where the duel was going on. "I am sure there is a rightful reason you are a demon, Minerva. We were all cast into hell one way or another, and I didn't start off in hell, I was banished to it." Veran explained some. "I will fight for Alexander, Samael and Aya. Until their deaths." he was sincere in his words, his eyes meeting Minerva. "'Aya may be a human, but she is nothing as foul as the ones that turned on me. She is...uniquely beautiful. Her soul will be delectable when the time comes....which will be sooner or later." Veran gripped his right palm. "After all, she only agreed to our contact until her Uncle was dead." he gave a dark smile. "And you will also be gone by the time Charles is killed, Minerva." he held his supernatural gun and cocked it back, pointing it to Minerva. "Your father always said that I would end up being the one to work for the Queen!" Charles had Aya backing up, shuffling towards her. "You will not bring my father into this, Charles. He was a good man, unlike you! All you wanted to do was enslave little girls. A watchdog is someone who would come after you. You would have no chance at being a watchdog!" Aya swiftly turned before Charles could lock swords again. After Aya heard Alexander call, she looked up to the second floor balcony. Samael. "S-Samael! What are you doing!?" she yelled up to him, only to be cut off by Charles. "Samael what are you doing-- aren't you going to pay attention to the fight instead of your little boyfriend? He should know that you're not an innocent virgin! You've been defiled!" Aya turned her head back to Charles, and Charles got her, right in her left arm, exactly on her ball-and-socket joint. The electrical current striking though her again. "F***" Aya choked out loud, Charles laughing like a maniac and stepping back from Aya, taking the sword with him. "This battle is not over...until one of us is dead!" Aya screamed out, stepping forwards. Veran suddenly grip onto his contracted hand, his nails digging into his skin. His seal was burning. Aya had been hurt. Veran grit his teeth, his face turning sharp to Minerva. "You will pay for this, Minerva!" Veran pulled the trigger on his supernatural gun, sending an array of bullets right towards Minerva. 1 Clouded Sun reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 13, 2017 Samael ran until he found the nearest balcony, hurrying to its ledge to look down the fight below. It was Aya...versus Charles Evarus, in a sword fight, no less. "C...Charles Evarus?!" Samael gasped, his eyes widening at the sight of the sickening man. His body ached. Anger. Disgust. Worry. "Samael you don't have to watch this." Alexander insisted, getting his hands on his master's shoulders. Samael looked back at him and shook his head, turning back down. "No, I want to stay. I want to watch." Samael insisted, glaring as Charles spoke to Aya. His voice reminded him of squealing rats, his arrogance more disgusting than anything else he had witnessed. How he hated him. How he wanted to pull out a gun of his own and shot him from above, but he knew better. This wasn't his revenge to take. It was Aya's. Samael leaned in, hands gripping tightly at the edge as he leaned forward, his voice roaring across. "You can do it, Aya!!!" He screamed, cheering her on the best he could. This was Aya's time for revenge, and darn it, he was going to cheer his girlfriend in all he could. "You're the rightful heir of the Evarus! You've survived what none before you have!...KICK HIS @$$ WITH ALL YOU'VE GOT, AYA!!!" Samael yelled, the blush on his cheeks prominent against his pale features. Some watched him stunned, others beyond amused, as others simply smiled and chuckled, muttering something among the words of 'young love' or the sorts. Even the Queen seemed amused. The bullets were sent flying, and while Minerva dodged some, others flew right through her body, burning into her skin as she screamed out in pain. She glared at Veran, gritting her teeth as she rose her hands, and from their delicate shape they turned into sharp claws, long and pointy and ready to cut. "You are a fool, Veran! The most foolish I have ever met!!!" Minerva yelled, her cool composure snapping as her teeth sharpened as well. With supernatural speed, she dashed at Veran, slashing at his skin and neck. She would fight as much as she could. She had nothing to lose.
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 13, 2017 "A fool, indeed. Aren't we all?" Veran questioned, his eyes glowing in the fuchsia red the demons bestow. "This is a specially made gun made by me, with bullets with enough power to kill a demon. I know what it is like to be shot by them...and I have a feeling I know how much are fatal." Veran his finger releasing the trigger on his revolver once more as Minerva's claws came in contact with his face, leaving a good gash. "You have nothing to loose and I know I can live. For Aya's sake." Veran pulled the trigger once more as Minerva's body was close to him. Aya feared Samael being so close to Charles, but Charles was surprised to see him. "You got with Lord Pandora's son? Samael Pandora?! HAhaA! I'm surprised you would go for such a defective kid. Just like you!" Charles laughed out. He stopped laughing once he heard the cocking of a gun, Aya standing up and inches from him. "A-Aya, g-guns are p-prohibited..." Charles started to stutter and he tried backing up. "And a modified rapier is?" Aya asked harshly. "I-I don't know what you are taking a-about..." "I think I would call this a checkmate." her voice was cold, and she pulled to trigger just as Charles opened his mouth, a bullet going right through his skull. Another gunshot. And another. Another. Another. Another. And one more, right between his legs, on his crotch. Just to make a point. Veran breathed out as he heard the gunshots. Swiftly turning away from Minerva and rushing back into the ballroom. Aya wasn't dead. He would have known if she was killed. Aya dropped to her knees and threw the rapier and gun to the side, and just letting herself fall back. There was silence in the ballroom, and Aya just started laughing. The sight was one to behold. His master had gone mad. It was beautiful to him. Absolutely stunning. To see her with both her eyes unveiled, blood getting in her hair as she lay in the floor of a ballroom, her uncle dead in front of her with a look of horror on his face. Veran's eyes met Samael that gave him a look of 'Go to her'. Veran swallowed, and then turning back to Minerva. "Now that your little pawn is gone, what are you going to do?" Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 13, 2017 Samael did not hesitate, rushing back down the stairs. Alexander helped, hurrying along side him and politely asking them to get the f*ck out of Samael's way. "Excuse me1 Pardon us!" Alexander huffed. Samael eventually reached the center of the room, rushing underneath the arm of one of the guards and straight to Aya. He ignored Charles, he deserved no pity. Blood splashed underneath his feet, and with no mind of it, he dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around Aya, lifting her up to her knees. One arm around her back and the other behind her head, pulling her against him, her head against his shoulder as he rubbed it gently. "You did it Aya. It's ok." Samael hummed, holding back any tears of his own. "He's dead. Your uncle is dead. You avenged your dad, yourself, everyone who he has made suffer in this world." Samael insisted, gently pressing a kiss against her forehead. "You truly are the most amazing woman to have ever lived, Aya Evarus." Samael smiled slightly, holding her face gently as he pressed his forehead against hers. "You've done it. You don't have to pretend anymore. You don't have to hold anything back. You're free." Samael whispered. The only other sound began as a clapping, coming straight from the Queen herself. "Marvelous." She said, clapping still. "And so Aya Evarus remains as my Watchdog. Applause, everyone." She ordered, and like a mob, everyone else followed, clapping, cheering for Aya's victory, even if momentarily. Minerva held her wounds, and was quickly held close by Noir. "Damn you, Veran!!!" Minerva hissed. Noir stopped her from going any further. "Stop. There is no use. We have to leave." Noir insisted, taking her back as he glared at Veran. "Nothing will stop the awakening, Veran. Not even you." And with that, the two disappeared into ash, to wherever they originally came from, either here or in hell. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 14, 2017 Aya looked Samael in the eyes, a small smile on her face. "I'm happy." she said softly to him, hugging Samael tightly. "I'm sorry you had to see that Samael...I'm sorry you had to see Charles." Aya's voice was exceptionally sad. Samael saw Charles. Samael was next. How could she kill this boy? This boy that she loved so much? Veran clicked his tongue as Minerva and Noir vanished. What cowards. Veran swiftly turned back to Aya, rushing towards her. "You're hurt Aya." Veran removed his right glove, the contract seal probably visible to others. "It's fine, it's nothing too deep." Aya faced towards Veran, looking him at him. "You're hurt too silly. Did you get in a fight with Minerva?" Aya questioned, looking at the gash on Veran's face. "You know I can get rid of this." he then gulped, looking to Charles on he ground. Charles was dead. Their contact was technically completed...but Veran couldn't take her soul now. No matter how much he desired. "Your majesty, thank you for allowing us to be here today. We will be taking our leave." Veran pulled Aya up and into his arms. "Lets go, Samael, Alexander." and with that, Veran exited, Aya staring at Veran as they headed to the carriage. "Veran." Aya spoke to him as Samael and Alexander were not around. "Our contract..." she barely uttered before Veran looked to her. "We will not worry about the contract for now. I now have permission to take your soul whenever I desire. You are going to take care of Samael and we are going to get the ordeal over with." Veran spoke sincerely. "Are we clear?" his eyes seemed to pierce her soul. "Yes..." Aya sighed. Samael was the last one.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted January 14, 2017 They left the party behind, leaving everyone in different states of emotions, from shocked to elated. Samael watched as Veran got Aya inside the carriage, clueless of what they spoke of. Once given the chance, he quickly got into the carriage with her. Alexander closed the door behind him, looking at Veran annoyed. "Let's get your master over to her manor before anymore disgruntled family members come back from the dead to try and kill us all again." Alexander said, turning as he prepared the horses to take off on the road back. Inside, Samael gently fixed Aya's hair ever so slightly. "Even in such a disarray you never seize to be beautiful." Samael complimented, smiling slightly as he moved some of Aya's hair back, looking at the eye with the seal on it. He had never seen it before, and it amazed him how beautiful it actually looked. With it Aya almost looked like a goddess from a whole other world, here in the world of mortals to serve justice as she saw it fit. "You truly are wonderful." He repeated, leaning back against the seat. "Aya. I have a question to ask you, and I pray for you to answer me honestly, and with the truth." Samael spoke, his eyes glistening as he looked at her. "The last Horseman is me, isn't it?"
