Even after the appearance of the mystery man from a hundred years ago, war is still waged between man and demon..

 

You are either a page or squire in the Kingdom of Ur.. or maybe you've traversed the depths of darkness to become acquainted and allied with other demons.. or maybe you're neutral! It's up to you, but the story has an end!

 

Welcome to my first Gold Genesis RP!

 

I made the backstory really vague.. that means more mystery! :ph34r:

2. You can't kill off or control a person's character without their permission!

 

3.) Also, inactivity will cause your character to be killed off in the role-play and erased from Utopia's database. If you're going to be inactive, it's best to tell me beforehand.. unless it's an emergency of course..

5.) Oh! Also, throughout the RP, I will be direct messaging all of you about power opportunities you could obtain along with your character's natural development! I will cycle through everyone, giving each person an option to choose a power that I propose to their character. Each power will be equivalent to each other in order to diminish the idea of me showing "favoritism".

Race: Humanoid Wolf

Side: Ur

 

Appearance: Rather tall and thin, with a bit of muscle on him. He typically wears a brown cloak, under which he has place to hold his pistol and his dagger. His fur is mostly black, with the underside of his chin and neck being a tan color.

 

Personality: In battle, he plays it smart and serious. However, outside of battle, he has a relaxed, and at times teasing, personality.

 

Bio: Mark has always been an independent boy. He never really listened to his parents, for any good reason at all. You could say he was just going through a rebellious phase in his life. To Mark, however, he was just doing what he felt was right. And to him, his dream has always been to fight for the Kingdom of Ur. Ever since he was a child, he was always so enchanted by combat, and would always play-fight with other kids growing up. As for his parents, they set him up to become a doctor. Clearly, Mark did not agree with them. He had always tried to resist them. And after he learned he could use magic, Mark realized that it was time he took things into his own hands. He ran off to the Kingdom of Ur, so he could train with others, and fight for his Kingdom.

 

Weapon: A flint-lock pistol and a dagger.

 

Genetic Traits: Is able to hear things from farther away than other people.

 

Powers: His signature attack is Impact Rondo, where Mark jabs his enemy in the stomach before slashing three times and ending with a shot from his pistol, a bang if you will, all with rhythm. His magic attack is Flame Edge, where he coats his dagger in magic flames before launching a projectile with a single slash at the enemy.

Your Answer: My definition of peace is when anybody, be it countries or people, can find a compromise to arguments without the need to fight or go to war.

Mark's Answer: His definition of peace is simply when there are no wars between major opposing forces.

I would like to see cool action scenes mixed with some good and pretty frequent character interactions.

Bio: Mark was sick of being told what to do. We always grew up being told what his life would be like. His parents already had his life all set. He would grow up, go to college to work in the medical field, and join the Kingdom of Ur's army as doctor. However, Mark hated this path. He didn't want to work in medicine; he wanted to fight. He wanted to be a hero, not some person off to the side that nobody would care about in the end. As such, he directly disobeyed his parents. He dropped out of college, and explored the deepest depths of darkness to ally himself with demons. Everybody he knew hated him for this, but Mark didn't mind. He was just happy that for once in his life, he could do what he wanted to do. And now that he was fighting in a war, he was ready to give it his all; or die trying.

 

Weapon: A pistol and a dagger.

 

Genetic Traits: Is able to hear things from farther away than other people.

 

Powers: His signature attack is Envenomated Strike, where he soaks his dagger in venom and slashes/stabs at his foe with it. His magic attack is Shadowy Force, which acts as a temporary shield that drains some of his energy.

Personality: For the most part, Lance is an outgoing and optimistic person who just likes to enjoy life.

Bio: Lance was born in an area not too far from the Land of Ur. From since his mother found out that Lance could perform magic, she put him through several programs, backed by wizards, in order to gain control of his power, though many were concerned that the "darkness" would take over him eventually. Because the Dark element had such a bad name throughout the world, Lance began to feel as if he shouldn't have been born. After these "programs", Lance was sent to the Kingdom of Ur to begin training to become a Wizard Knight like his father before him. Currently, this year is supposed to be Lance's last year as a Page before graduating to Squire rank.

 

Weapons: Hand-to-hand combat.. He has practiced in several sword styles as well (part of his curriculum as a Page).

Genetic Traits: Enhanced Creativity - The heightened ability of imagination

Specialty - Darkness Conjuration - The ability to create and solidify things out of darkness

Name: Shaun Walker

Age: 15

Race: human

Gender: male

Personality: Mature and serious most of the time. He is a stick in the mud often correcting his younger sibling and constantly cleaning up the messes he makes. He is humble and modest for the most part but often feels a strong sense of duty to help those in need albeit to minor degrees.

Bio: Shaun was born first and received a rather poor welcome. His birth was on a date that signified disaster in the parents religion and was as such always kept in the back seat when it came to gifts or wishes of any kind. He often described family relations as "Legal guardians" but in reality tried to prove himself so that he would be seen more than a bad choice in the birth lottery. He received a brother at the age of five and was often tasked to be the baby sitter. Once he reached seven however the mother took over and he began working as a Sheppard for one of the most dangerous areas. From there he often had problems with wolves and before anyone knew it he grew up and developed a strong set of values. At the age of eleven he already had a reputation as "the beast-slayer" and as such was more or less re accepted into the family. Once he reached thirteen the mother died and he felt it an obligation to look after his brother and also father who had developed a habit of drinking. At that point an unspoken agreement made him head of the family. And when the father began suffering from a deadly illness set out without hesitation to find the spring of life along with his younger brother.

Weapons: The father's axe

Genetic Traits: Physically much stronger than most

Powers: manipulation of his own body also known as physiomancy. In essence it's controlling muscle output, metabolism as well as the amount of adrenaline he receives.

Personality: Playful and energetic whilst rude and childish. He likes to see everything as a joke. He enjoys annoying his older brother with his antics and often ends up getting them both in trouble. He is gentle otherwise and very emotional getting tears quite easily although he hides that from everyone.

Bio: Unlike Shaun's birth his was celebrated as a second chance for the family at the time. In early years he developed a stron attachment to his brother who had always looked out for him. He often had trouble with the local kids until said sibling intervened often ending in a fistfight with some of the strongest boys in town. He led a very sheltered life receiving plenty of attention but at every opportunity found time to sneak away to a more vibrant life in town. His antics went unnoticed by his parents and Shaun always covered it up. Later on a festive night he and the mother had a traditional night at sea where the mother drowned after falling out the boat and being swept away by the current. He blamed  himself for this as he was unable to do anything as he lacked the strength his brother had. During the funeral he and the brother made a silent agreement never by any means to let another family member die. This became evident once the father began suffering from a nearly incurable illness and the two had to venture out to find the spring of life which would save him.

Personality: Very harsh and stubborn, but in a way that shows just how much she cares. She has a sharp desire to prove herself as well as help others. She is intelligent, and enjoys learning. Her most obvious social weaknesses lie in the way she has a hard time expressing herself through normal means.

Bio: A mage student from the city, she has just recently graduated from the academy and is seeking out glory.

Weapons: None, save a short metal rod that serves as her wand.

Genetic Traits: Can learn new things faster than most

Powers:

Specialty: Sorcery: a wide ranging knowledge of general magic. She knows mostly simple charms such as a levitating spell. (Charms are spells like you would see in Harry Potter.) Sorcery encompasses much more than this though, and is the collection of ancient magics, before people put organized and systematic research and development into it. For means of self defense she uses fire magic, the summoning and manipulation of flames.

Signature Attack: Flaming Diffindo: A magic cutting attack bolstered by flames. Is essentially a magical flaming slash.

Creates a ten-point seal which centers on her target. She then at lightning speed goes to each point, slashing her foe. The final blow comes with a bolt of lightning, most likely decapitating her foe and vaporizing the remains.

Alias: Kobyashi Maru

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Personality: Distant and sort of cold, he holds most people at a distance, though he has a sense of right and wrong. He refuses to let criminals get away with their misdeeds, but can be...merciless in his actions.

Bio:

Born in the Kingdom of Ur, he was not well liked by even his father. His father was a great warrior, slayer of hundreds of demons and a man who believed magic was for fools. His son, however, was not one to charge in with a sword and axe, cleaving through the masses. His agility and strength favored...irregular approaches. This had him at odds with his father since he was fourteen.

 

When he turned sixteen, created what he called Amenonuhoko, a series of magical guns that never ran out of ammo...as long as you had magic power. The first one he made, the one he finally was satisfied with, was his opus: Silverfang

 

His father did not like that. They were at odds for the next four years, as Kobyashi experimented and perfected his Amenonuhokos...and of course, when his dad, in a drunken rage, came home and murdered his mother, before turning his sword upon Kobyashi...well, that night, he became Kobyashi Maru - the unwinnable battle. If he had stayed his hand, he would die. By firing, he killed his own father. He was an unwinnable battle...and it only made it worse when he found out she had been pregnant. His father, drunken from no longer being able to fight, unable to keep jobs due to his nature and drinking away his life, took four lives that night.

 

Kobyashi turned his attention, away from Amenonuhoko, and to a new idea: Tonbokiri

 

Magical constructs made for whatever he damn well pleased. Many he threw out as defective, all of them unable to even speak. They were drained and tossed, and it took him two years to create a new opus:

Sakurako.

 

Giving her a surname and a life, he keeps her as the younger sister he never had, making her the blade she wields and continuing with his ideas in merging magic with the newfound technology that was continually being developed.

Powers:

Short-range teleportation (within ten meters). Can only do five teleports in succession, and has to rest before doing it again.

Name: Alexander Cruz.

 

Age: 23

 

Race: Human

 

Gender: Male

 

Appearance:In his attire.

Personality: Noble and honorable, Alexander isn't one to mess around during a mission or anything of the sort, he is kind to his allies and to anyone he deems good, but he is downright merciless when it comes to demons or any one who threatens another's life.

 

He isn't exactly sarcastic but he does have a good sense of humor, albeit he is sort of distant with others.

 

Bio: Born in the kingdom of ur in a noble family, he used to be a spoiled rich kid, until his family was murdered and he lost everything, living poorly for much of his teenager life, until. After a scuffle with some thiefs, a knight of the kingdom saw the potential in him, well, not exactly his fighting potential but magical. As Alexander has literally disintegrated the two thiefs he was fighting with the rare magic type of void.

 

Introduced into the life of a knight Alexander adapted quickly, taking swordsmanship lessons, magic lessons and even literature lessons, however he wasn't fit for heavy armor at all, he much preferred the convenience of lightweight, but strong protective attire used by some. He designed his own attire and takes it out on every mission he takes.

 

 

 

Weapons: The Last sight. (Sword in appearance) Sword capable of being infused with magic and used as a catalyst, highly damaging greatsword, swung in wide arcs or in heavy damaging swings.

 

And the "Seeing Eye" pistol (In his appearance) which fires magical shots. Flintlock design, but as a result it packs a very strong punch.

 

 

Genetic trait: Innate magical resistance. Alexander has always been resistant to magic, but not by much, although his resistance to the many varieties of magic have been slowly increasing the more fights with magical demons and others he finds himself in. Over time he could grow highly resistant to many sorts of magic.

 

 

Powers: Void magic.

 

"Nothingness is a power in it and of itself" so says Alexander. His void magic is unique in the fact that he may use it in combat just like any other element, He can cast novice to intermediate levels of void magic, but he is no master at the craft, as controlling the power of nothingness isn't exactly easy. He seems to focus much more on pure erasing of matter in his attacks, granting him high offensive potential. But void magic cannot be used as a support type in any way, it can be used defensively with void shields and protection, but thats about it.

 

Signature move: Cataclysm: Alexander creates a dome of void magic within a large area, which slows down and does small damage over time to enemies caught in the area of the dome, the dome continually charges void power while its active eventually after a maximum of 6 seconds of being active, it collapses on itself with a large explosion of void energy, doing huge damage to those caught in the blast and couldn't escape the area of the dome. He may opt to collapse the dome prematurely, but it reduces its damage by a great ammount.

I do believe this character is a taaaad bit to sci-fi in design. Not that I personally mind, though.

 

Oh, also, yes, I do expect differently when it comes to lesbians. There could also be gays, too. And heterosexual relationships. So really, whatever relationship you can think of as long as it's cute.

 

On another note, I'm like the only character on the side of the demons and I'm not sure how this will work out in the end.

Also these two will be neutral traveling from one side to another in epic journey style searching for a cure to save their father in the form of the "spring of life".

 

 

Name: Shaun Walker

Age: 15

Race: human

Appearance: (the older one)

Personality: Mature and serious most of the time. He is a stick in the mud often correcting his younger sibling and constantly cleaning up the messes he makes. He is humble and modest for the most part but often feels a strong sense of duty to help those in need albeit to minor degrees.

Bio: Shaun was born first and received a rather poor welcome. His birth was on a date that signified disaster in the parents religion and was as such always kept in the back seat when it came to gifts or wishes of any kind. He often described family relations as "Legal guardians" but in reality tried to prove himself so that he would be seen more than a bad choice in the birth lottery. He received a brother at the age of five and was often tasked to be the baby sitter. Once he reached seven however the mother took over and he began working as a Sheppard for one of the most dangerous areas. From there he often had problems with wolves and before anyone knew it he grew up and developed a strong set of values. At the age of eleven he already had a reputation as "the beast-slayer" and as such was more or less re accepted into the family. Once he reached thirteen the mother died and he felt it an obligation to look after his brother and also father who had developed a habit of drinking. At that point an unspoken agreement made him head of the family. And when the father began suffering from a deadly illness set out without hesitation to find the spring of life along with his younger brother.

Genetic Traits: Physically much stronger than most

Powers: manipulation of his own body also known as physiomancy. In essence it's controlling muscle output, metabolism as well as the amount of adrenaline he receives.

 

Name: Marcus Walker

Age: 10

Race: human

Gender: male

Appearance: the younger one (picture above)

Personality: Playful and energetic whilst rude and childish. He likes to see everything as a joke. He enjoys annoying his older brother with his antics and often ends up getting them both in trouble. He is gentle otherwise and very emotional getting tears quite easily although he hides that from everyone.

Bio: Unlike Shaun's birth his was celebrated as a second chance for the family at the time. In early years he developed a stron attachment to his brother who had always looked out for him. He often had trouble with the local kids until said sibling intervened often ending in a fistfight with some of the strongest boys in town. He led a very sheltered life receiving plenty of attention but at every opportunity found time to sneak away to a more vibrant life in town. His antics went unnoticed by his parents and Shaun always covered it up. Later on a festive night he and the mother had a traditional night at sea where the mother drowned after falling out the boat and being swept away by the current. He blamed  himself for this as he was unable to do anything as he lacked the strength his brother had. During the funeral he and the brother made a silent agreement never by any means to let another family member die. This became evident once the father began suffering from a nearly incurable illness and the two had to venture out to find the spring of life which would save him.

Powers: Can speak with animals.

Appearance:

Personality: Very harsh and stubborn, but in a way that shows just how much she cares. She has a sharp desire to prove herself as well as help others. She is intelligent, and enjoys learning. Her most obvious social weaknesses lie in the way she has a hard time expressing herself through normal means.

Bio: A mage student from the city, she has just recently graduated from the academy and is seeking out glory.

Weapons: None, save a short metal rod that serves as her wand.

Genetic Traits: Can learn new things faster than most

Powers:

Specialty: Sorcery: a wide ranging knowledge of general magic. She knows mostly simple charms such as a levitating spell. (Charms are spells like you would see in Harry Potter.) Sorcery encompasses much more than this though, and is the collection of ancient magics, before people put organized and systematic research and development into it. For means of self defense she uses fire magic, the summoning and manipulation of flames.

Signature Attack: Flaming Diffindo: A magic cutting attack bolstered by flames. Is essentially a magical flaming slash.

Regenerative Powers - her body is made of magic, essentially, and can repair itself over time while also providing an absolute defense, to a point. The weak point is the long regenerative times of major wounds, and the fact a strong enough piercing attack could destroy her magic core, killing her.

 

Signature Move: "Seal of the 13th Hierarchical City - Takemizakuchi: Blade of Thunderous Victory"

Creates a ten-point seal which centers on her target. She then at lightning speed goes to each point, slashing her foe. The final blow comes with a bolt of lightning, most likely decapitating her foe and vaporizing the remains.

Alias: Kobyashi Maru

Appearance:

Personality: Distant and sort of cold, he holds most people at a distance, though he has a sense of right and wrong. He refuses to let criminals get away with their misdeeds, but can be...merciless in his actions.

Bio:

Born in the Kingdom of Ur, he was not well liked by even his father. His father was a great warrior, slayer of hundreds of demons and a man who believed magic was for fools. His son, however, was not one to charge in with a sword and axe, cleaving through the masses. His agility and strength favored...irregular approaches. This had him at odds with his father since he was fourteen.

 

When he turned sixteen, created what he called Amenonuhoko, a series of magical guns that never ran out of ammo...as long as you had magic power. The first one he made, the one he finally was satisfied with, was his opus: Silverfang

 

His father did not like that. They were at odds for the next four years, as Kobyashi experimented and perfected his Amenonuhokos...and of course, when his dad, in a drunken rage, came home and murdered his mother, before turning his sword upon Kobyashi...well, that night, he became Kobyashi Maru - the unwinnable battle. If he had stayed his hand, he would die. By firing, he killed his own father. He was an unwinnable battle...and it only made it worse when he found out she had been pregnant. His father, drunken from no longer being able to fight, unable to keep jobs due to his nature and drinking away his life, took four lives that night.

 

Kobyashi turned his attention, away from Amenonuhoko, and to a new idea: Tonbokiri

 

Magical constructs made for whatever he damn well pleased. Many he threw out as defective, all of them unable to even speak. They were drained and tossed, and it took him two years to create a new opus:

Sakurako.

 

Giving her a surname and a life, he keeps her as the younger sister he never had, making her the blade she wields and continuing with his ideas in merging magic with the newfound technology that was continually being developed.

Short-range teleportation (within ten meters). Can only do five teleports in succession, and has to rest before doing it again.

Name: Alexander Cruz.

Race: Human

Personality: Noble and honorable, Alexander isn't one to mess around during a mission or anything of the sort, he is kind to his allies and to anyone he deems good, but he is downright merciless when it comes to demons or any one who threatens another's life.

 

He isn't exactly sarcastic but he does have a good sense of humor, albeit he is sort of distant with others.

 

Bio: Born in the kingdom of ur in a noble family, he used to be a spoiled rich kid, until his family was murdered and he lost everything, living poorly for much of his teenager life, until. After a scuffle with some thiefs, a knight of the kingdom saw the potential in him, well, not exactly his fighting potential but magical. As Alexander has literally disintegrated the two thiefs he was fighting with the rare magic type of void.

 

Introduced into the life of a knight Alexander adapted quickly, taking swordsmanship lessons, magic lessons and even literature lessons, however he wasn't fit for heavy armor at all, he much preferred the convenience of lightweight, but strong protective attire used by some. He designed his own attire and takes it out on every mission he takes.

 

 

 

Weapons: The Last sight. (Sword in appearance) Sword capable of being infused with magic and used as a catalyst, highly damaging greatsword, swung in wide arcs or in heavy damaging swings.

 

And the "Seeing Eye" pistol (In his appearance) which fires magical shots. Flintlock design, but as a result it packs a very strong punch.

 

 

Genetic trait: Highly resistant to almost all sorts of magic. This has allowed him to fight many demons and survive, but he still takes damage, just reduced.

 

 

Powers: Void magic.

 

"Nothingness is a power in it and of itself" so says Alexander. His void magic is unique in the fact that he may use it in combat just like any other element, He can cast novice to intermediate levels of void magic, but he is no master at the craft, as controlling the power of nothingness isn't exactly easy. He seems to focus much more on pure erasing of matter in his attacks, granting him high offensive potential. But void magic cannot be used as a support type in any way, it can be used defensively with void shields and protection, but thats about it.

 

Signature move: Cataclysm: Alexander creates a dome of void magic within a large area, which slows down and does small damage over time to enemies caught in the area of the dome, the dome continually charges void power while its active eventually after a maximum of 6 seconds of being active, it collapses on itself with a large explosion of void energy, doing huge damage to those caught in the blast and couldn't escape the area of the dome. He may opt to collapse the dome prematurely, but it reduces its damage by a great ammount.

Hmm... I AM okay with Void magic as long as it doesn't get too OP throughout the role-play.. However, being highly resistant to almost all types of magic is a bit much for one who is just starting out.. I'll allow the ability to BECOME highly resistant throughout the RP.. But not the ability to be highly resistant already.. If you could change it, i'll accept you!

Which is to say, there's no way in heck I'm not signing up for this! Just: I'd like to make a demon character, alongside my main character, the demon being bound to him... but I don't want to disturb any canon, so I don't know what to do with that.

Well, I said I would!

Name: Dr Vay Lea

Age: About his mid-twenties

Race: Nothing but a mere human

Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall- Actually, TBD. (I have it written down somewhere, I'll find it.)

 

Personality: Vay cares about exactly three people in the world: "Me, Myself, and I," as he so eloquently puts it. Although he'd never say it, he does have some begrudging affection for Ix'Nath. He is, however, a very driven person, and will do just about anything to further his goals, whatever they may be.

Bio: He comes from a long line of doctors, each one famous in their own way. Born to be a doctor, he was raised thus. Everything he was ever taught, centred around what he was to become.

 

And he hated every moment of it. But there was nothing he could do, just grumble and learn his lessons. He tried to rebel, in his own small ways.

 

But there came a day, a fateful day, when he desired to rebel more. What happened exactly was to him more of a dream than anything concrete, real. He fuzzily remembers going to a tavern, getting drunk, picking a fight... lying on the ground, covered in bruises, surrounded by angry men... an inky, pitch blackness, a pocket watch, and finally, serene, calming, Silence.

 

His memory of the events following that are far less fuzzy, but he never likes remembering them. A demon, introducing itself. A contract made, signed in drunken blood. Being kicked out. Anger, overwhelming anger. And then; tranquility. A visit to the blacksmith; a weapon, forged. Darkness spreading out from the very tip. A rend in space.

 

And now Vay wanders the world, unsure of his purpose or place, knowing but one thing: Those who get in his way, must perish.

 

 

Weapons: A masamune, made of steel. It looks like it is painted black, but that is merely darkness covering it.

Genetic Traits: As much as he dislikes his history of doctoring, he has an amazing recollection of human anatomy, due to his lineage. (This work? I'm not sure what else to go for, honestly.)

Powers: (One specialized magic ability with one signature attack)

Ability: Darkness Eternal: Using the dark magic in his sword, Vay spreads a pool of darkness about him, which he can then order about, turning it into a small variety of items or daggers. He can not keep this up for a very long period of time, without fainting. The longer he uses it, the more likely he is to faint.

Signature Attack: Rend: Using all of the dark magic in his sword, Vay cuts the air itself vertically, opening a small rift of darkness, from which he can either pull various shadowy weaponry, a small barrage of shadow daggers, or allow it to shoot out spikes of pure darkness. The downsides: For one, his sword goes back to normal, requiring him to wait awhile before he pools any dark magic into it. The rift itself is extraordinarily draining, to the point where he can't keep it up for longer than about 8 or 9 seconds. If he pulls out a shadowy weapon, he'll focus extremely on using it, dropping his sword, and dispersing the rift as soon as he can. That way he can use his weapon for a little while without passing out. (The daggers just tire him even more, the more he throws them. He doesn't use that very often.) Finally, the spikes: These send him over the edge. He can only shoot out a few of them before fainting immediately. But the spikes are VERY fast, and very accurate. If he breaks them out, you know you're in trouble.

Your Answer: Simply, a world without war. A world, perhaps where everyone gets along... or perhaps a world where there is only the peaceful yet chilling sound of silence. There is peace in many things.
