Hello everyone, so I'm sure you've all heard by now the theory that Aqua, Ventus, Riku, Terra and Kairi are all reincarnations of the five Foretellers.
At present, we only know the name of one of the foretellers, which is Ava, the Vulpeus foreteller. A lot of people have speculated the meaning of her name, so I decided to do a bit of research myself. I looked up the name Ava on Wikipedia, and came across this:
'The medieval name Ava is an abbreviation of a Germanic name containing the first element av-, meaning water from Proto-Persian word ab or av for water.'
Upon doing some more research, I found this website, which lists names derived from several Iranian languages, and Ava is apparently an alternate spelling of the Parsi name 'Aban', meaning 'Waters; name of an angel; name of 10th day and 8th month'.
'Waters' is synonymous with the sea, and Kairi's name is derived from the word 'sea' in Japanese. The theory suggests that Kairi is the reincarnation of Ava, so the fact that both of their names could relate to the sea definitely bolsters this theory.
Of course, it's far too early to be 100% percent certain until we learn the other names of the foretellers, but I figured it was a pretty interesting coincidence!
