I was replaying KH2 and I got to the scene where Sora and Roxas fight one another, and I noticed that Roxas says "Why did he choose you?" Now why would he do that..? I'm assuming he was talking about a certain someone, but why would Roxas doubt Sora?

He was wondering why the Keyblade choose Sora.

As Roxas said to Axel when he left the Organization "Why did the Keyblade chose me? I have to know."

So yeah Roxas wanted to know why the Keyblade chose him, and later he found out that he had the Keyblade because his somebody, Sora, had been chosen by the Keyblade. So the question for Roxas now was, why the Keyblade had chosen Sora in the first place...

But what confuses me is that Roxas specifically said "he", and the keyblade doesn't have a gender.

What If its not a thing.... But a person? What if somehow, Roxas found out about Ventus "choosing" Sora to weild the Keyblade? What if Roxas knew about Ven? What if he knew that Ven was in Sora's heart somehow? What if? Thing about this everyone.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (don't ask me where, I forgot) that reffering to the Keyblade as 'he' was just a mistranslation

But what confuses me is that Roxas specifically said "he"' date=' and the keyblade doesn't have a gender.

The "he" is a mistranslation. What he should have said was "Why did it chose you?"

Ventus never chose Sora to wield the Keyblade

it is supposedly a mistranstation.
