Anybody know why Telltale games decided to make The Walking Dead Michonne game instead of going straight to TWD:S3?

Posted

I was honestly a bit upset when Telltale games announced this since i was expecting TWD:S3, but it's still looks pretty interesting nevertheless

I don't know either. The only good announcement from them recently was that Batman game they're doing.

i mean it IS a popular game series of theirs and i wouldn't doubt they'd want to capitalize on that.

on a less cynical perspective, maybe they plan on incorporating Michonne into Season 3 in some way and this will serve as her introduction to the games as well as something to get players occupied while they work on Season 3.

I've heard that it is just a mini-series, so they were probably just trying to capitalize on Michonne's popularity.  I have also heard that it was a way for them to buy time as they work on Season 3.

You just have to keep in mind that they have been launching and working on a lot of new projects (Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, Batman, the Marvel based one, Minecraft), they have probably been spread pretty thin for a while.
