How Many Missions Will There Be Until The End X's Story?

Posted

Hey there everyone, how's it going?  So then, today we got the latest news article regarding Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, thanks to Katie Armstrong, and in the article, it's discussed that Unchained X will be receiving 50 missions per month!  At this rate, I think it's safe to assume that the game will catch up to X pretty soon!

But the question is, how many missions are left for X's story to end?  Because I read that there's currently 500, but will there be 100 more before the story closes? :O

Pretty sure there will be more than 100 more quests to go. I say just wait it out. Doesn't matter how many quests there are, so long as it's not too tedious and repetitive. As long as we understand the lore, it's totally fine.

Well with Chi closing down their servers in September I have to say it will be not that much but then again they could still add missions to Unchained and continue with that, but I hope they at some point end it which is kind of hard with mobile games but with this kind of game it has to end at some point

Well keep in mind that they said that Unchained in Japan is up to 500, and so far is roughly a few missions or so ahead of Jap Unchained's story...unless there really are huge story differences between versions, in which case they would be caught up to each other and are going in different directions. But I am under the impression that maybe, just maybe, the way Unchained progresses through story events is slightly different from how X does it. I mean for one thing we have to go to a mission select screen while in X players just progress on the stage with a new mission update, so there's always a chance that we got extra challenges between events to sort of pad out the story a little. With that said, it's possible that Jap Unchained is currently waiting for the story update to start the events in Daybreak Town that have just recently happened in X. So X would be the furthest along, Jap Unchained would be slightly behind but nearly caught up, and USA Unchained would be about half way behind Jap Unchained.

As for X's story progress, well it's hard to say. I mean with the way things are pacing, the climax must be in sight, but it still seems too soon for the endgame to start just yet. If I were to speculate, I would say that there's at least going to be a few more world missions to wrap up the stories of other worlds that haven't been cleared yet and possibly introduce and finish Enchanted Dominion, if they are going to include it. After all that's said and done, probably around 2 or 3 months worth of content, they'll return to Daybreak Town and finally set the climax in motion, and over the remaining months till September will be the final missions of the story, however it turns out. Whether both versions of Unchained will be caught up by that point or not is hard to say, considering how the producer said that they wanted to avoid having all versions get too caught up to each other, due to logistics complications. But I wouldn't be surprised if we were at least one or two story updates behind by the time X reaches it's end. Alternatively, the game's story could end a whole month or two sooner, and that whole gap of time before September will probably just be post-story OP session, where they will probably be giving out bunches of rewards and boosts right up until the service is discontinued.

I will say, I do hope one day someone can grab a hold of X and try to revive it with a fan-server similar to what's going on with FusionFall Retro. It would be nice for everyone to be able to play the game, especially with modded English text too. But that's only if Square doesn't delete the game from the internet entirely.

I see your point!  Well, I just hope that by the time X's story ends, Unchained X will only need one or two more story updates to fully catch up to X, ya know? :3

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the end is in sight, ya know?  Especially given the fact that the Keyblade War is just looming on the horizon!  But yeah, we'll see what happens!

Hmm, interesting.  Well, if this is the case, then it's as you said, X's story could wrap up sooner than we think, giving Unchained X time to catch up to X, ya know? Whatever happens, though, I'm sure that once all missions are done for in X, Unchained X will follow suit, and we'll be able to witness the end of the story as well!  I can't wait!  I'm very happy with the game so far!  I've completed 100 missions as of now! :3

Well, who knows?  It could be revived, but it's as you said.  Square could delete the game from the internet if they wanted to, ya know?
