With the book of prophesy being able to see all of time past, persent and future I find it odd that only emblem heartless are enemies in this game. We all know The the unbiths preceeded the heartless we know now and the nobodies followed after. With that being said there is a potential

for far more enemies and even more interesting bosses. and who is the say that there where no other types of heatless before the events of KH1?

As much as this game is fun it is missing a few beats That would have made a lot more sense and blew away the fan faithful.

The Unversed did not precede the heartless. The heartless are products of the Darkness which has been around practically forever, and because of this it can be assumed the Heartless came along not long after. The Unversed were products of and came from Vanitas (who is a product of Ventus' darkness being separated from his heart by Xehanort, and is in fact Ventus' dark half) and are a result of negative emotions. Aside from Daybreak Town, the Disney Worlds that appear are not entirely reality and are products of the Book of Prophecies. Yes, Emblem Heartless do have a prominent appearance in the game, but the Shadow, Neoshadow, Invisible, Darkball, and Darkside Heartless are all Pureblood. In regards to the Nobodies, it hasn't exactly been explained when they came around. We only really know how they're created and where they stand on the Light and Dark scale.

Wheather or not the enems where products of main chacraters is seems not to apply to the emblem heartless then. And the other types are just as inportant to progression of they KH story.it seems to me its just a move by square to keep to the base and use the most recognizable enemies.

Okay, first of all this is BEFORE the world of Kingdom Hearts as we know it today, so it's likely that the Heartless were around in this world for a while. And the story goes that they were born from the greed and Darkness in people's hearts anyway, so they have plenty of reason for being here. The Heartless there are naturally from the present, it is the worlds that are drawn from all about time, not the enemies. *Spoiler* Epherima will later tell you that all the worlds you go to other than Daybreak Town are actually illusions made by the book. The Heartless you fight and the Lux you gather all actually come from Daybreak Town.

 

Second, it's not "unbirths", it's UNVERSED, as in "not well versed in their existence".

 

Third, the Unversed only existed because of Ventus and Vanitas' forced split into two separate beings. The Unversed only come from Vanitas, and ever since he fused back with Ven, the Unversed stopped existing. So since this takes place before Vanitas was ever created, it would make no sense to have the Unversed here, unless some other random person out there in the world got forcibly split apart and there was a lot of negativity as a result. And the Nobodies don't really begin existing in notable enough numbers until Xehanort's experiments as Ansem's apprentice anyway, so they are either nonexistent by this point, or they aren't that large in number. It's not to say that they can't exist, so long as strong willed people become Heartless themselves a Nobody has a chance of being formed. However, since this is a time before the universe got remade it's hard to say if that rule still existed back then. For all we know you could just turn into a Heartless without leaving a Nobody behind. Regardless, the main point of the story is that you are fighting the Darkness to protect the Light, as such you must fight the physical embodiment of pure Darkness, the Heartless.

 

While the existence of Emblem Heartless, which we know are a direct result of Ansem's experiments, is a bit odd, again there is always a chance that they existed in this "pre-world" already. After all I believe it was said that when someone's heart is consumed by Darkness, it turns into a Pureblood Heartless, but when it is forcibly stolen by a Heartless, it will turn into a Emblem Heartless. So it's likely that these Emblem Heartless are made from hearts the Heartless have stolen from innocent people in that time. And while those other types of enemies are important to the other games in the later part of the story, they have absolutely no place here, as they do not represent pure Darkness, nor do they have any proper place in the timeline. If you want to get down to the "real world reason", then yes, maybe it was a move by Square or Nomura to keep the most recognizable enemies in the game (in reality, they are the main enemy other than Xehanort), but it was a creative decision as well. It has it's roots in the original Kingdom Hearts when Kairi's grandma told of the old tale we now know as that of the Keyblade War, how people wanted the Light for themselves and Darkness became born in their hearts, and what creatures do we know of that only exist because there is Darkness in every heart? The Heartless.

Now that you mention that for unversed to exist there must be a split between one person, the latter being dark and excreting negative emotions, it would be interesting for KH3 if this had happened unknowingly to Lea. Lea being the light side that we know as of late KH2 and DDD and on the other side, there still be a dark assassin (pre Roxas) Axel that was either a secret boss fight or even one of the 13 of darkness.

this is cute, but what you are failing to realize ia that the book of prophecy has no bounds to time. If it knows all and we are playing this game inside a pop up book it stands to have all the information about KH universe within it. no only the heartless the Ansems made.

..."cute"? Look pal, the point I'm making here is that the ENEMIES don't come from the book, they are naturally occurring in the present time of the game, it's just the worlds and characters taken out of time. They never said that the book had no bounds to time, nor that it tells the Foretellers every little detail about the future, it's just assumed that it has a lot of power know a few vague details and events, they never outright said it was unlimited. The only way the future is being brought back is through having fake worlds for you to fight real Heartless in, fake characters to progress you through paths to make you stronger, and give you fragments/cards/medals based on the powers of characters that can not be forcibly dragged through time there so that you can just directly use those powers yourself. In no way does it imply that it can bring back enemies from those times, especially when there would be NO POINT to it. Think about it, what point is there in fighting an enemy that does absolutely nothing to affect the situation at hand in that time? Sure, fighting the Nobodies, Unversed, or even Heartless from the future would be fun and all, but they aren't contributing factors to the Darkness that's on the rise in THIS time, so fighting them would basically be padding and serve no real purpose to the story or premise. And that's the real reason these Heartless are all we're getting, because it serves the story best. Just because you could do something with a story doesn't always mean that you should, if anything this is much more manageable, not to mention less confusing for new players who have never even played the games those other enemies come from anyway. Does this make more sense now?
