Is paper mario color splash going to be the last wii u game for this year?

may be a silly question, but still...

There is still Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and a group of indie games

But yeah it looks a rather bare year for Wii U cuz they're gonna be focusing on the 3DS for the rest of the year until the NX comes out

While it is technically possible for Nintendo to announce another game or two, I seriously doubt it. If they don't add more Wii U games by E3, then no more Wii U announcements.

Even though I love my WiiU, that game will deal the finishing blow to the console. Rest in peace my sweet WiiU, rest in peace.

Yeah and it's going to bury the Wii U further than it shouldn't be. /shot

In all seriousness, most likely. Ofc not counting indie games and 3rd party games... If they still get any for the latter.

It's a shame though, because there are so may great games like Smash 4, Splatoon, and Mario Maker.

True.

I really need to pick up Splatoon. It's a sin I haven't yet.

There might be an Okami for wii u, but even that's not likely sadly

Here's an original photo edit I made:

If they launch it as their holiday game then definitely. If Nintendo doesn't announce something else then it very well could be the last Wii U game for the year. The last retail game I bought from them was Pokken Tournament and I haven't played that in over a month, so I dunno if I'll even pick up Paper Mario (especially if they charge €60 for it).

don't forget that we still have mario and luigi at the Rio Olympic games and yeah, I probably won't be getting Paper Mario for the wii u either

You know, I liked the first Mario & Sonic game on Wii. It was fun with friends and family. If the Rio one is any good and I can get a few people together to play it then it might be something that I'll consider getting. Problem is I already have better multiplayer games in Smash, Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World :/

I haven't played the 3DS Paper Mario (but I'm aware of the negativity behind it), but I was one of the few that actually liked the trailer for Colour Splash. Something about it seemed charming. If it's a lower priced game like Mario Maker, Kirby or Captain Toad were then I may keep a closer eye on it. The last Paper Mario game I played was the one on Wii and I thought it was good. Yet the internet hated it too. The changing from 2D to 3D was a neat feature.

I think Super Paper Mario is an okay game even though it's mostly a platformer

Yeah and I guess I can see why people dislike it for that reason.

Paper Mario has really become something far different to what it was on the N64 and Gamecube. I bought Paper Mario on the VC and it's a blast to play. I'd like Nintendo to have gone that route instead of this sticker stuff. Though I haven't played the 3DS version so I dunno how bad it actually is. It seems Nintendo almost tried to cater towards the Paper Mario fanbase by including him in Mario & Luigi Paper Jam.
