Should I play Danganropa 1 visual novel game?

because I've heard that they've rushed the anime and they may have left out interesting details that the visual novel game has.

Also please discuss everything Danganropa here!

Buy the steam release right now and yeah it was rushed, what do you expect with 12 episodes? lol

  • Now, I find this arc a bit more interesting than that of the Mirai-hen which is obviously still VERY interesting.   However we're going to get so many things in this arc that we haven't ever seen an

  • the OST for the game is sounding awesome so far!

the full name of the theory is Danganropa 3 anime same knife, same person theory. In this thread. I will theorize that the knife that was used to kill the teacher is the same knife that was used to kill asahina ; thus the same person killed them both. I honestly do not know who killed them both, but I was a strange feeling that both of their deaths are connected somehow and if they could find out how killed the teacher, they'll find out who killed asahina . Also, you should note this as well, they way they both died looks extremely similar, which means that the killer killed asahina the same way the killer killed the teacher.

I have a very VERY odd feeling that it's good ol' Naegi. Why? A few reasons.

1. Naegi is in the same room as Asahina.

2. The door was blocked, and I doubt Naegi was strong enough to push it open, in fact I doubt anyone's strong enough to push it open, from the inside, and out.

3. Naegi is the least suspicious

4. We don't know what poisons or sleeping agents they have, for all we know, it could be brainwashing agent.

But it is definitely between Naegi, Gozu and Miaya.

he did have blood on his hands too, so that could prove that he could've killed her when he didn't realize it or didn't mean too

To be fair to him, they were sitting pretty close together.

yeah, which could mean that someone else could've killed Asahina and while killing her, the killer got blood on Naegi's hand by accident

*spoilers for episodes 1-5

Since will we know by now that she is a robot, we can assume that she never got affected by the sleeping drugs in the bracelet; therefore, it would be the logical if she, was the one who killed great goku because Makoto, Asahina, Great Gozu, and Gekkogahara put stuff near the door they entered, so nobody other then them would have killed geat goku. If this theory is correct, this could also explain who killed Chiza in the first episode.

In this post, I will explain what the picture that we saw in the beginning of the second episode 2 means. If the character is standing still, he or she are the survivers of the killing game. If the character is moving to the right , they will die because of the killer, and if the character is moving to the left, they will die because they broke their forbidden command.

Wait, but isn't Tengan dead now??

(This is an interesting find, but I really hope you're wrong because Asahina can't die. She just can't. :(

Deep down I already knew Seiko would die, I just wasn't ready for it.

Oh I was so not ready for it.

I agree with you. I really hope that I'm wrong that Asahina's going to die and yes Tengan is dead, but he might have something in relation to the traitor, or he was the traitor before he died

It wouldn't really make sense for Tengan to be the traitor, Munakata's reaction to being told who the attacker is pretty much triggered him and drove him to kill Tengan. And if Tengan were to say that the attacker was him, I doubt Munakata would be so surprised and would've executed him quicker.

There's also some fans in Japan that lip-read Tengan, and what they made out was "The Attacker Alternates", with that the implication that both Munakata and Tengan had something to do with Chisa's death is there.

because if it gets on the NX, the game's release window is going to get moved to 2017 :(

Considering we haven't heard that much about the game since it's first announcement I think it's probably safe to say that the game is going to come out next year for the West for sure Japan still might get it this year but the West is for sure going to get it in 2017

because I don't plan on playing the game since I don't have a ps vita

The game takes place somteime between DGR and DGR 2 in a city called "Towa City". We learn that Komaru Naegi (Sister of Makoto Naegi) was stuck in an apartment in this city for quite some time. When she got out of that apartment with some help of Togami, she witnessed how the city was attack by Monokumas who started killing all the adults living in the city. With a weapon from Togami she manages to protect herself against the monokumas but ends up beeing captured by them. She meets the masterminds behind all of this "the warriors of hope"

(Somehow i can't post a picture, sry^^')

They're all children who all had abusive parents and thats the reason why they want to create a paradise for all the kids in the town by killing all of the adults. The kids let Komaru leave so they could play a little hunting game with her. Shortly after that Komaru meets Touko Fukawa who came with Togami to this city. Together they defeat the Monokumas and 4 of the Warriors of hope, except for Monaca (the girl in the middle with the green hair). In the end they confront Monaca and find out that she never really wanted to create this paradise for the children but rather just bring despair to the world like Junko. Junko met those children before they attacked Towa city and manipulated them a bit (just like we know Junko^^). So basically Monaca is a Junko fangirl. However Komaru and Fukawa managed to defeat Monaca. With help from Nagito (who was also in Towa city and kind of a slave for the warriors of hope) Monaca did manage to escape. Komaru and Fukawa both stayed in the city because they want to rebuilt it and make it peaceful again.

I think that is everything what was really important in this game. I hope it's understandable and that there are not too many grammar mistakes in it^^'

thank you! I really needed that explanation. Now, can youanswer this question; how are Nagato and Izuru in the game

thank you! I really needed that explanation. Now, can youanswer this question; how are Nagato and Izuru in the game

Glad that i could help :3

So Nagito by that time is a remnant of despair. It is unknown why exactly he is there, he just plays along with Monaca and the others while having his own plans of seeing true hope or despair, just like we know Nagito...

Izuru just shows up at the and of the game and destroys 2 special Monokumas which also appeared in the game which had an AI of Junko Enoshima inside of them. Besides that we never really saw him in that game as far as i can remember  :/

theres like an 11 hour playthrough that only shows cutscenes and dialog scenes on youtube somewhere if you really want to know the complete story

It's a long watch so if you ever think of watching it pick a day you'll have completely free or watch an hour a day for 11 days or whatever floats your boat

Assuming what tengan said in a previous future arc episode was "the attacker alternates" my theory goes and follows, the person who is still awake after everybody else is asleep is the killer and when another two hours have gone by and everyone is asleep again the attacker twitches to another different person. They are forced to kill a certain person and they know that because the thing that they're wearing on their wrists also tell what exact person they have to kill. If the person refuses to kill anybody then they will be poison in the bracelet will be injected in them and kill them .in all honesty, I think this will happen to Neagi and he'll be forced to kill either Kirigiri or Asahina and if he doesn't then he'll die.

1 and 2 came long after their original releases. 3 will probably have the same treatment. Still odd that 1 and 2 aren't on PS4 though.
