Hey everyone. With the most recent update to Chi, we see some reveals that just give us more questions. Most importantly, the black coat wearer who we have been told is the Master of Masters, wields the same Keyblade eventually wielded by Xehanort. We also are being told that under the black coat might be the 6th apprentice (Luxu), and not the Master of Masters. I also just replayed BBSFM, and a line in Terra's ending uttered by Master Xehanort stuck out to me: "I swore I would survive... and be there to see what awaited beyond the Keyblade War!"
How does this make sense? There is no way that Master Xehanort was alive during ancient times, witnessed the Keyblade War, AND survived up until the events of BBS. We also know that Master Xehanort's Keyblade is the most ancient Keyblade, we learned this from Young Xehanort in the secret ending of Re: coded on 2.5. And in the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer, Young Xehanort knows more about the Keyblade War than Eraqus, even though Eraqus said their master told them the story. Xehanort even speaks the line that is in the Book of Prophecies about light expiring.
So what I am theorizing, is that the Master of Masters took control of Luxu in a similar manner Xehanort did to Terra. However, the Master of Masters continued to use this technique, eventually taking control of Xehanort. This would explain why Xehanort has the most ancient Keyblade and is so knowledgeable about the Keyblade War - he started it. The Master of Masters survived the Keyblade War he started by taking control of one of his apprentices, who held a copy of the Book of Prophecies. With the Book, he was able to see the future and plan accordingly. He knew who he could take control of in order to survive.
That's all I have for now. Obviously it may not be the most sound theory in the world, but I just want to know why Xehanort spoke about surviving the Keyblade War if it took place in ancient times, long before he and Eraqus even encountered a Keyblade.
