I looked at a certain site that talked about the first season of the anime and people are saying that it has a terrible dub. I disagree with them. I think it has a pretty good dub.

Many anime sites will say a dub is shit by default. With that being said, Higurashi's does kinda suck, and it only lasts for the first season. There are some decent voices, but some of the lines just sound... off. It's really hard to describe. A lot of the acting is fine, some of it just isn't conveyed very well.

I guess I'm one of few people who actually like the dub 

Are you talking about Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni? The dub is really bad but the anime itself is the best anime I've ever seen so if you can watch the subbed version instead

the dubbed version isn't that bad. I've watched the dub myself and I just like it. I will never watch a subbed version of an anime unless it's the only option.

Hooray, so glad I'm not the only one who likes the Higurashi dub!  Especially for the twins; everyone seems to love Shion's insane laughter in Japanese, but it sounds so robotic to me that I can't really take it seriously.

I always thought Higurashi was one of the better anime dubs.

Maybe it's bad to compare both seasons in Japanese against one scene in English that I watched just now, but imo JP sounds better.

Keiichi, Mion and Satoko sound fine, but Rena sounded a bit weird, and Rika even more so. I can only wonder what her miis and nipahs sound like in the dub
