Dallas sniper who gunned down 5 cops 'wanted to kill white people,' chief says

Posted

GUNMAN IDENTIFIED: Police say Micah Johnson, 25, of Mesquite, Texas, pictured above, was the sniper who ambushed Dallas police officers last night during a protest rally, killing 5 officers and wounding 6 more. Fox News reports that Johnson's service record shows he had served in the Army Reserves and did a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

This guy wasn't even a criminal and was a VETERAN. In my opinion, gun control would not have stopped something like this.

Our police have been treated poorly all because of a few violent incidents. While those incidents have been terrible, all of the police have been punished by maltreatment. ALL LIFE MATTERS! Please pray for the families of these cops.

I didn't see you make a post about Alton Sterling's death... And a 'few violent incidents'? There's been hundreds, also you get your news from foxnews, which is an awful source of news.

FoxNews are clearly brainwashing the American public with this and trying to turn you all against each other. I do agree that people should not treat the police badly because of this, since generalisations are bad. But c'mon, 'a few violent incidents'? There's been way more than a few.

You're all being turned against each other, some black people will look at Alton Sterling's murder and blame white people, some white people will look at this murder and blame black people ( I'm not saying you are blaming black people).  More divisions and distractions to create racial tension between black people and white people.

Few that have been broadcasted. I wasn't specific.

Thank you for this.  Dallas is my hometown (though I don't live there anymore), and it really saddens me that something so horrible happened there (but again, I know other awful things have happened there too).  Not to mention that my grandfather was once a police officer, so I really do appreciate the support for all the good cops out there :)

Fox News is the most biased media outlet in the US lol. You're not getting any real facts that are not bought and paid for. Condolences to the officers who lost their lives and to their families.

Let's keep the focus on the story, not the network see.

Oh, boy.

Look, I don't care if you're more on the liberal side or more of the conservative side. That's irrelevant here. Do we really need to bring up what news outlet this is coming from when the fact is that people died? It doesn't matter if they were a police officer, a black person, a white person, etc.

Multiple innocent people died.

I understand what you're saying, but there's no reason to call out KingdomHearts3 for not making a post about Alton Sterling. His death was definitely a crime committed by an officer from what we've seen so far, but just because he never posted about that doesn't make it any less significant than Dallas.

If we're going to talk about this, we need to stop worrying about what media outlet we get news from because, let's be honest, there will always be bias in any type of media even in the smallest form. There's also no justification for death, no matter what incidents may have occurred.

Ah, you see? You guys aren't even focusing on the topic, but the network. I feel that News networks, all of them, are becoming toxic.

What wisdom from both of you.

The media tells you who to hate.
