FF XV Is Only Open World At The Beginning

Featured Replies

Yeah, they're called Skells, but you gotta earn your mech wings B] (Also you can only get them after getting to certain points in the story so rip)

I figured the thread was more for FFXV so that's why xP

Well, that's part of progression. Which makes me wonder if X is like XC, where there are lot of area to explore in the endgame, so the Skells are actually more useful in the endgame for exploring.

Speaking of which, that reminds me something about FFXV. It is going to be weird that the game becomes more linear in the second half, since I am so used to it from other RPGs...including the FF series.

You can technically access all the regions, but there are some areas that you need Skells/flying in order to reach, so yeah

What's FF tho

I'd believe this if it didn't contradict everything they said about exploration before. Getting the flying ability late in the game, "point of no return" before the final boss, etc.

A bit off topic, but Carbuncle Surprise closed just a couple minutes ago.

Edit: nevermind. That's just the message they used when updating it.
