Kingdom Hearts Missing Link Japan Prototype Applications Now Open; iOS Only

The official website for Square Enix's upcoming Kingdom Hearts Missing Link has now been updated, stating that applications for the Japan-only prototype version are officially open.
Applications will be accepted from December 19, 2022, to December 26, 2022, with the prototype scheduled to open its servers on January 13, 2023, and end on January 18, 2023, and the site mentions the dates are subject to change.
Furthermore, it's also worth noting that the test will only accept a maximum of 1000 iOS applicants, meaning iPads and especially Android devices cannot apply for this prototype version, as it will use the TestFlight application (which is exclusive to Apple devices).
In addition, applicants must also agree to an extensive agreement listed on the website. One notable clause includes the factor that video and screenshots of the prototype version cannot be posted online, though oral and written impressions are excluded from that.

Kingdom Hearts Sora & Roxas Metallic Files Available for Pre-Order via Square Enix Japan

Square Enix Japan has listed new Kingdom Hearts merchandise for pre-order, comprising metallic files depicting Sora and Roxas. The products' sizes are A4-sized, so roughly 8.25 x 11.75 inches. Further, the items cost ¥660 each, with planned shipment dates of January 28, 2023.

Kingdom Hearts I Sora & Shadow Crane Game Plushes Revealed; Both Purchasable via Aitai Kuji

Two new Kingdom Hearts plushes have been revealed to be obtainable via Sega GiGO-branded crane games throughout Japan starting on December 16th, 2022. These items depict Sora's appearance from the first game and the Shadow Heartless.
The Sora plush has been confirmed to arrive at the following storefronts:
Raku-ichi Raku-za (Kurosaki Store) Raku-ichi Raku-za (Ion Mall Imabari) Further, Aitai Kuji has pre-orders for the Sora plush and Shadow cushion plush available for ¥3,500 and ¥4,000, respectively, with shipments occurring sometime this month.

UPDATE: Kingdom Hearts Motel Keychains Available for Pre-Order; April 2023 Shipments

Square Enix Japan has listed new Kingdom Hearts products, this time comprising motel keychains in singular purchases for ¥1,650 and packages of ten for ¥16,500. Shipments are expected to occur on April 29, 2023.

UPDATE: A blind box set of 10 package of these motel keychains is available for pre-order via the Square Enix North America storefront for $170.00. Shipments are expected to occur in August 2023 .

Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Mouse Pads Available for Pre-Order; 2023 Shipments

Square Enix has listed several Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary mouse pads available for pre-order via their digital storefronts.
There are two mouse pads labeled gaming and three general all-purpose mouse pads. It's worth noting that for the latter, only volumes 2, 3, and 4 are new, with volume 1 being this product from earlier this year. 
Moreover, all of the newly revealed mouse pads are scheduled to ship on March 25, 2023, though the gaming versions cost ¥3,300, while the standard ones are ¥1,650.

UPDATE: Kingdom Hearts Franchise Joins November 2022 PlayStation Plus Extra Tier

Sony has revealed its lineup of November 2022 PlayStation Plus games, and the Kingdom Hearts franchise is included, specifically:
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Kingdom Hearts III Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory Users of the service who don't digitally own the games will need to at least be subscribed to the Extra tier for them to be playable. Additionally, once November ends, players will still have access to the titles as long as they are still subscribed to PlayStation Plus. 
Access will begin on November 15, 2022.
UPDATE 11/15/2022: Each of the aforementioned games are now available via the PlayStation Plus service's Extra tier.

Everglow Returns to Kingdom Hearts Timeline Video Series

Prominent Kingdom Hearts content creator Everglow has resumed work on his Kingdom Hearts Timeline video series, which chronologically places cutscenes seen throughout the franchise.
For those unaware, this was a project Everglow started back in 2018 to catch up and reinform fans of the story before Kingdom Hearts III first launched via valuable recontextualization. The series concluded with the ending of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. 
However, since that latest video, the franchise has seen considerable developments, such as the completion of Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross], Kindom Hearts III + Re Mind, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, and the entirety of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. 
So, Everglow has now returned to wholly conclude the Chi saga, aiming to amend the beginning videos of the Timeline. These new uploads will replace the soon-to-be-redundant episodes of the Timeline series that are outdated, as they lack certain scenes that were only revealed following the Timeline's originally finalized state. 
As a result, Union χ [Cross] will comprise 11 episodes, leading to Dark Road starting on episode 12. Everglow has also teased potential plans to include Kingdom Hearts III in the Timeline, viewable via the new first episode's video description. 
For now, you can check out the modified first episode of the Kingdom Hearts Timeline below. A playlist of all currently completed episodes is accessible, too, though keep in mind that the earlier ones are in the midst of being modified.
Lastly, I should note something that Everglow himself states in the video description; this project is not the ideal way for newcomers to first experience the story. Going through the games by release date is arguably the best way to view them initially.
This Timeline series is best used by fans familiar with the source material, so they can grasp new details and appreciate differing perspectives for certain events.

UPDATE: Announcing March Caprice III; Trailer, Entry Details, Organizers & More

We are thrilled to announce that March Caprice will return in 2023 from March 24th through March 26th! Following March Caprice 2.0, this third iteration of the event will feature improvements and adjustments to foster a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all parties involved. 

For those unaware, March Caprice is a virtual gathering of Kingdom Hearts fans with the aim of showcasing projects and talents from the community. Prospective entrants can apply via various fields, such as illustrations, cosplay, and merchandise, under the Artists' Alley banner. Then, said work will be highlighted on the official March Caprice website  as well as the Twitch and YouTube channels. 
Further, music entries can be entered into the returning Concert Soireé. Several musicians can unite under this special event. Although, those not yearning to be a part of the concert can premiere their musical projects on their individual channels, with cross-promotion via the March Caprice Twitter account. 
Moreover, content creators can submit pre-recorded videos or livestream entries that will then premiere on their channels. Every showcase will be divided into time blocks so each entrant can shine. Writers can also submit entries consisting of fanfictions or informative essays. However, written content can't exceed 3,000 words. 
The Tutorials page on the March Caprice website houses directions for each avenue of submission. 
It is also worth noting that all entries have to be SFW (Safe for Work) and must not depict shipping. View the FAQ page for more intricate details regarding what is allowed, alongside the timeline for submissions and related material.

The Kingdom Hearts series have Shipped over 36 Million Units Worldwide in Physical and Digital Sales

Square Enix have released their annual report for 2022, detailing the current status of the company and its projects. In this report, the number of units for the Kingdom Hearts series was revealed to be over 36 million Worldwide, both physical and digital. 

Kingdom Hearts has been celebrating their 20th anniversary all year long from new merchandise to celebration events as well as the announcement of Kingdom Hearts IV and Kingdom Hearts Missing - Link. Check out our extensive 20th anniversary recap here.
