Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has discussed the PlayStation Portable 2, otherwise known as the NGP, in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine. Currently, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is only available in UMD form, and not as a downloadable title, meaning it will be unable to be played on the NGP at launch. However, thanks to translations by andriasang.com, we now know the following.
Regarding a possible Kingom Hearts Birth by Sleep download release, Nomura says that this is difficult for a reason he can't say. The problem is separate from Square Enix, Disney or Utada Hikaru (who sings the theme songs). "I want to do something, but it will take time." Also, "Nomura said that he could not yet talk about his (or possibly Square Enix's) plans for NGP titles." It is possible that a Kingdom Hearts title will eventually appear on the new console, but it is not yet known for sure. What do you think? Be sure to share your opinion.
One of the most frequently asked questions by fans of Kingdom Hearts is "When will Kingdom Hearts III be released?" Often, fans complain that the gap between Kingdom Hearts II and the eventual KH3 has taken much too long, and is filled with too many "side" games. So, why is it taking so long, and when will KH3 be released? Find out by reading the full story.
However, of course, nothing is confirmed yet. We want to know what you think! When do you think it will release? Vote in the poll and let us know.
Also, we are allowing the community to ask a question, which will be answered next time. Today's question was "When will Kingdom Hearts III be released?" So, what do you want to know next? Leave a comment.
Famitsu.com have interviewed Yoko Shimomura, the composer of the Kingdom Hearts series, in response to the recently released album Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and 358/2 Days Original Soundtrack. Although the interview is not yet translated, a rough automated translation can be read at our forum.
Generally, Shimomura has simply shared her thoughts on the album, including those on the songs from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. Sekido Takeshi and Takeharu Ishimoto were also questioned about the album, giving similar insight. Their responses, again for the moment in broken English, can be read at our forum.

Square Enix UK have released a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded has been found. The trailer, available in 720p, shows various game play styles including the command matrix. This can be viewed below and can be downloaded from our video archive.
The fact that this trailer was released in 720p is a good sign, as it further supports the idea that Square Enix will be releasing all future trailers in high definition. Most recently, Square Enix released the first trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance in 720p. Re:coded released in English regions on January 11, 2011 for Nintendo DS. Make sure to share your thoughts on the trailer.
Many of you will know, since the release of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, the community has been speculating about a new Kingdom Hearts title. This title is, of course, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep -Volume Two-.
Cutscenes from the Secret Episode of Birth by Sleep Final Mix heavily hinted at a future title of the Kingdom Hearts series with that given name.
However, the question remains. On what console will this game release, and when? Click here to get a comprehensive answer, and of course, share your ideas by voting!
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep has been revealed to be the highest selling PlayStation Portable game of 2010. Based on sales in North America, according to the NPD Group, Birth by Sleep was able to sell over 300,000 copies, not including those in the PSP-3000 system bundles. This is even more impressive considering that Birth by Sleep made its North American debut over halfway through the year, releasing on September 7, 2010.

Unexpectedly, files have been found inside Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix which appear to be from the demo of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. These files, which are models of various characters as well as the logo of the demo, were found inside Birth by Sleep Final Mix's data. Thanks to the community at XeNTaX who discovered this, as well as user "Key to Truth", who created screenshots of models, samples of this can be seen below.

Apparently, Twilight Thorn was also found, adding to the view that these are remnants of the earlier Kingdom Hearts 3D demo shown at E3 2010. As the files remain in Birth by Sleep Final Mix's game data, yet did not appear in the final version of the game, it is implied that at some point, Square Enix may have intended to include a playable Kingdom Hearts 3D demo in Birth by Sleep Final Mix, yet the idea was scraped.
However, the inclusion of both Xehanort's Heartless' and Xemnas' models, who both appeared in the 2011 Trailer of Dream Drop Distance but not in the E3 2010 demo, suggests that either a completely new demo was planned to be included, or simply that Square Enix is using the Birth by Sleep engine to render Dream Drop Distance trailers.
Although it is unknown why these files are included in the game's data when they do not appear in the game itself, it is not unusual. Similar occurrences have happened in the past, where Toy Story character models were found in Kingdom Hearts II, sprites from an unnamed Pinocchio world were found in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and maps of a The Jungle Book world were found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. All of these ideas were eventually scraped.
