Okay, this is a non-rhyming poem (is that called free-verse?) that a friend from school wanted me to write for him. I thought I should share it with you guys since its only half-finished and if its too weird, I want to fix it where its at now. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Black Rose Roses are red Violets they say are blue But this rose is black And our train is way off track The last time I saw you You said this was the last time And that the line was too fine Between love and hate But I didn't accept the bait So I'm stuck here in a crate Of crows and evil souls Taking in 1000 tolls If it wasn't for one stupid lie You probably wouldn't of died And I wouldn't of gotten tied To one sinister ride Although I will escape I shall not leave unscathed For today is the day I learn how to play The Nightmares' games Attacking the things The stupid humans called Angels Was our first mistake Angels and Demons Stria and the Nyx Are no where near the same things But they do share one common trait; Both have those that fell from their proper state. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Wow... Turns out I lied. This poem pretty much rhymes throughout. Oh well. Anyway, my friend says this is apparently part of an actual story he was going to write (which explains some of the things like "Stria and Nyx" as well as why "Nightmares" is capitalized).

Finally got full-on internet again. Listening to Combichrist-Never Surrender while reviewing some poems my friend wrote (with slight help from me)

Cerberus let go of Serena and retreated inside Emi's body. Emi awoke instantly and looked at the injured Serene and unconscious Shitai. She shook Shitai repeatedly over and over. "Wake up. Wake up! Wake up!" Emi shouted while shaking Shitai. Serene observed her own injuries; parts of her body were mildly damaged but not quite well enough to hinder her combat performance. "I'm not really sure how you didn't end up broken into little pieces with your fragile yet admittedly attractive body. Remember, beauty is only skin deep but pain burns all the way to the soul." Serene coughed, covering her mouth with her hand. Red blood had tainted her smooth pale hands. "This time...I will kill you." Emi stated. Cerberus in his sword form appeared in Emi's hand. "Beast Resonance!" Cerberus expanded greatly in sidze and had smaller curved blades coming out from the large main blade. Emi's clothes turned black. She looked at the limp body of Shitai and closed her eyes. "It's okay.. You can rest, partner." Serene cursed, remembering when she and Emi fought the first time and, had it not been for the Executioner's sacrifice, Serene wouldn't of had time to subdue Emi. I'll have to be extremely careful from this point onward. There's no guarantee that there will be a quick escape. Serene thought. She and Emi ran towards each other, with Serene summoning a plain looking broadsword, and their blades clashed together. Through the murderous look in Emi's eyes and lack of any signs of madness on her face, Serene knew this time it was either kill or be killed.

Cerberus attacked Serene with his claws but couldn't hit her. She was taking advantage of both her opponents emotions and dodging with ease. "SIT STILL SO I CAN KILL YOU!" Cerberus shouted. Serene's eyes flashed a deep blue and Cerberus grabbed her. He began attempting to crush Serene, something that would've been easier if Emi was conscious, and Serene screamed in pain. Almost like an echo, Emi began to do the same thing.

"She's the target. I know because she's the only person in the world I could not bear killing before I came to the Academy. And she is the only person that Cerberus can see entirely." Emi said softly, a tinge of sadness in her voice. "He's so nice. Willing to protect a defenseless young woman without a moment's hesitation. You should reward him." Serene's eyes flashed a light purple for a split second. Emi leaned forward and kissed Shitai. Serene then appeared behind Emi. "Let him go and sit on the ground like a good girl." Emi let go of Shitai's forearm and sat criss-cross on the ground, looking up at Serene. She then spit on Serene's face. Enraged, Serene's eyes flashed bright orange and Emi convulsed violently on the spot. She screamed loudly in both pain and terror. Cerberus emerged from Emi's stomach. He punched Serene in the face, which while it didn't stop the trance Emi was in, it disoriented the trance's master. "My meister isn't another one of your puppets. Leave her alone or suffer the consequences!" Cerberus demand. He glared at Serene for a while before turning to Shitai. "This is your fault." his eyes seemed to say. Serene cursed and looked around to make sure the group didn't have anymore backup.

"Okay." Emi said while looking quickly for the Caretaker. She noticed a slight distortion in her sight and she knew that was her target. "She's over there!" Cerberus, having an idea what both his partners want, causes a demonic claw to spawn from Emi's shoulder and grab the Caretaker. The invisibility she has instantly wore off and she stared at Emi. "You've grown." The Caretaker said calmly. "You're alot more attractive now then you were when you left." "Thank you. I was taught pretty well how to take care of myself. Both in and out of battle." "Glad to know you didn't forget your manners after killing all my co-workers. Now, would you kindly put me down?" The Caretaker smiled while asking. "Sure." Emi said before Cerberus threw the Caretaker violently to the ground. Cerberus then proceeded to put Shitai gently to the ground. Emi followed. "How rude... But I guess that's how teenage girls act when there near their boyfriends." The Caretaker stood up and brushed the dirt off of her. Emi blushed before instructing Cerberus to return completely to her body. "Shut up!" Emi hardened the Black Blood to get ready for battle The Caretaker looked at Shitai, who to her seemed to have calmed down. "Hi there, my name is Serene." She said with a slightly seductive voice causing Emi's face to turn red with anger and slight jealously at her calm demeanor despite knowing Emi, Shitai, and Cerberus are dangerous.

Emi smiled while searching for a way to scale the structure. If I'm careful I can use the black blood to make wings.. In order to do that I'd have to make them large enough to be able to manipulate enough wind to carry us both upward. While Emi assessed the whole situation, Cerberus took in the sunlight. The trio had been in the temple for quite a while and he could feel the sudden change of light through Emi. "That girl owes me big time... Cerberus muttered to himself.

Emi nodded slowly. "Sorry..." She apologized softly. Emi calmed down quickly but could still feel the madness flowing through her. It felt good to do attack the scientist like that. She couldn't deny that. But Emi knew she also had broken her oath to Lord Death at the same time. I'm sure he'll forgive me. After all, I used the black blood to help Shitai. Not for anything else. Emi could feel pain in her arm but knew that, if it was a cut, Cerberus could fix it. She tried to stand up and stumbled a bit. Looking around, Emi didn't see anyone else. If the last two were here, then she must be here too, right? She thought. The 'she' in question is a scientist referred to as the 'Caretaker' of the facility. This women is the one who raised Emi from birth and serves as her mother figure, hence the reason Emi didn't kill her. The two were actually very close in. The Caretaker was about 16 when an infant Emi was brought to the facility,

The scientist slammed his mace down on Emi. She dodged it and cut the scientist's shoulder. Emi smiled as blood leaked from the wound. "You 're madness is gonna kill you and your partner!" The scientist yelled while grabbing Emi's arm after she tried to cut the scientist's stomach. He threw Emi with enough force to cause her to drop Shitai. "Damn." Emi said while running to where Shitai was lying. "Watch me crush stupid friend to pieces, and remember that its YOUR fault!" The scientist tried to attack Shitai but Emi stood in the way with one arm up, blocking the mace. On impact, the mace shattered to pieces. Emi grinned psychotically and grabbed the scientist by the throat. "Remember when you used to bind my legs together and make me run away from you? Its your turn now." Emi dropped the scientist and broke both his legs."Go ahead and run..." Emi said while the scientist screamed in pain. He attempted to crawl away while Cerberus in his sword form appeared in Emi's left hand. She stabbed the scientist.

"I promise." Emi said. She looked around. "Are there any more Kishin eggs around? I don't think the scientist was the last one here." Emi closed her eyes to talk to Cerberus. "What do you want, kid? I have no more knowledge than you right now. Cerberus said. He and Emi were inside a dungeon like room in Emi's mind. "That's okay. I just wanted to let you know you'll be getting an evil soul today too. We aren't going to eat anymore innocent souls and I don't want you to be surprised by the change. " "Fine...I guess will do it the Academy's way, for now. Cerberus patted Emi's head. Emi opened her eyes.

"there's two of them left. I can't rest yet. Alll they're concerned about is getting me to kill more innocent people and eat their soulls.." Emi thought to herself. She hated her fa te.. Kill kill kill . That's all Emi did. "Shitai, can you do me a favor? The next time one of the scientist shows up, can you make sure I don't get angry?" Emi asked, remembering how black blood can transfer from one person to the other during resiidence. And the risk is doubled when Emi is angry since Cerberus gets excited.

Emi cursed at herself. Fear had taken over her and she could no longer just fight. "What happened to the girl that slayed twenty five scientists on her own? Was she real?" The scientist asked mockingly. Enraged, Emi closed her eyes and relived the moment she escaped the research facility. Emi glared at the scientist. "Soul Residence!" she shouted./ OOC: for a while, I may make tons of spelling mistakes. Please forgive me. Also, I thought the technique was called Soul Resonance? Just curious.

Emi sensed not only a dark soul in the temple but also a very familiar soul as well. The familiar was close. Emi held Shitai up and pointed him in the direction of the familiar. "My my, is that anyway to treat one of your three remaining caretakers." A man's voice had said. In a few moments a sandy blond haired man in a torn lab coat was standing in front of Emi and Shitai. "Who's this? Would this Weapon here happen to be a friend? Or something more than that?" The scientist smirked at Emi's confused expression. "Go away, there"s nothing of value to you here." Emi said. "Now now little girl, where are your manners?" The scientist replied. "I should punish you for that." An axe was drawn by the scientist.

While walking around the temple, Emi kept looking out for strange things. Only problem with looking for strange things in this world is; everything is strange. Emi thought about the laughing sun and grinning moon, two figures that used to be the only source of facial expressions for Emi to use. He/She never saw the scientists make any other facial expressions than their usual blank faces. As a result Emi thought that all people could do was stare, grin, and laugh. Meeting those at the DWMA changed that however. Emi stopped walking and looked around. Something seemed off. "Hey, Shitai? Anything seem weird to you?" Emi asked his/her partner. Second opinions were important to have so that people would know if a doctor's diagnosis was correct.

Emi pondered what Shitai had said for a while. He/She never heard of ghosts but, judging by Shitai's fear of them, they must be terrible creatures. I should probably let him turn into his weapon form. While it would be better for him to face his fears he may freeze up in terror if ghosts pop up and that would be a problem. Emi held out his/her hand. "Are you ready?"

Emi stood directly in front of Shtai. Close enough so that neither meister nor weapon could put their arms in front of them without hitting one another. "I'll let you become your weapon form when we're near the temple on one condition; you have to tell me exactly what is botherng you? Do you know something about the temple already, like an old story about it?" Emi bit his/her cheek to stop from talking.

Emi looked at Shitai and turned his/her head. "Are you okay?" He/She asked. While Emi wasn"t the smartest person around, nor the most socialable, but he/she could tell something was bothering Shitai. "Temples aren't that scary, ruined or otherwise. You'll see, it will be nice and peaceful." Emi said trying to help Shitai. To be honest Emi never had been to any type of temple so he/she wasn't sure if what he/she was saying was true. All Emi knew was that his/her hoodie was hot so he/she took it off, revealing the pink tank top underneath.

Emi looked at Shitai. They got their first mission and Emi made his/her first real friend. Or at least that's what Emi was sure they were called. The last 'friend' Emi had was the lab executioner. He was tough but very kind, or at least he was to Emi. The executioner used to sneak in lots of food for Emi and Cerberus to eat late at night and would give the pair money to buy things whenever Emi was allowed to go on small trips. Emi thought the executioner really cared about him/her. Unfortunately, this proved to be false.

An American McGee's Alice series-based RP. 20 years have passed since the end of Alice's second adventure in Wonderland. Due to some unforeseeable events,"Londerland" (a mixture of Wonderland and London) has become everyone's reality. The beings of Wonderland have been co-existing with the people of London for at least 5 years. Alice Liddell, the young woman framed for the incident, now has a daughter(who I have not named). Since Alice has tons of experience dealing with the citizens of Wonderland and has lived in London, she is able to easily serve as an ambassador of sorts to maintain peace between the two ethnic groups. Unbeknownst to Alice, the citizens of Wonderland have been reincarnated. There are two of every living creature of Wonderland(although the reincarnates go by different names than the originals). Two Mad Hatters, two Cheshire Cats, two White Rabbits, etc. The London people are aware of this anomaly and are worried that there may be a war to break out between the two(for reasons unknown, They are half right. A war is brewing, however, it is not between the original citizens of Wonderland and their reincarnations, but between Wonderland and London. You see, a pretty good amount of Londerland citizens do not like each other and plan on restoring the world back to its original state by killing one another. This is causing a rift in the stability of the world and only Alice's daughter(with guidance from her mommy) can fix it. Some of the Londerland people do not want war so they are trying their best to appease both sides, including the Mad Hatter's reincarnation and a few others. They refer to themselves as the side of "Reason" whereas those who want war and are fighting are referred to as "Seekers of Madness.". You must pick a side and decide what you believe. Reason...or Madness? The rules are the same as pretty much every other RP on this site. Emi looked around for a while. He/She was worried about getting in trouble for loitering around the halls instead of being in class. I wonder where Stein and Sid are? Emi remembered that he/she met Sid shortly after meeting Shinigami-sama. He was the one who told Emi about Maka Albarn, Black Star, Death the Kid, and their respective weapons. Emi only saw Stein once. Stein was instructed to help Emi learn restraint so that he/she didn't kill any of the students.
