I look around my dropship, the other ODST's had dropped five minutes ago. I was just now sent to clean up the weapons and to defend the intelligence of my squad, who were out taking out a prophet... And it seems that they expected someone to assault this particular ship... I have no idea why.

What you do is make your character sheet, and then try to figure out how to stop The Grudge, or at least go to her haunting area(A popular hotel connected to a rich casino) to stay until you die or come into contact with her, you most likely will become curious, but it's your story, choose to help the few who believe, or leave the hotel/casino for dead.
