Both Riku and Kairi touched a Master ability keyblade, thus sealing the ceremony that they would later have the ability to weild one (although Kairi did it unknowingly with Aqua). Aqua was going to do that for Sora, but she realized the connection between Riku and Sora was very much like Terra and Ven and she didn't want the two young boys to become like her friends (which they did anyway :rolleyes: ). But Sora? Destiny? Because he has Ven's heart? Because he's special? I'm not sure there's a definite reason as of yet for why Sora has a keyblade, but he is definitely gifted seeing as how he has only had the keyblade for a short time and was able to make himself a master with no training from a master and without passing the master qualification exam

What JTD95 said Utada said that she tried to get the melodies and music to fit for both, but that she couldn't get the same message across in the English version "Simple and Clean" so she made it differently to fit. Therefore the 2 songs do in fact have different meanings. And the song wasn't made way before Kingdom Hearts. The single of "Hikari" was released in March 2002, in the same month that Kingdom Hearts was released in Japan

It's like seeing Roxas in a different light, if he was never inducted into the Organization and grew up as a normal kid and wasn't so emo and depressed! Totally! It will definitely be interesting hehe

Sora doesn't look like Vanitas. Vanitas takes over the appearance of SORA. Since Sora is the one who connected his heart to Ventus to make it whole shortly after Vanitas was created, Vanitus took on the appearance of Sora. Nomura said if any other person had done that for Ven then Vanitas would look like that person since he is a part of Ven. And I think the fact that Sora connected to Ven has nothing to do with power and everything to do with the fact that he is a truly good person who shows that he can open his heart to anyone. Sora is the key to all the connections.

The end of summer is less than 5 months (and that's the actual season, not "school summer"). I don't know how long it usually takes, but the fact that we're going on practically nil information here is...disappointig (and hard for anxiety-ridden fans to sit still and wait patiently). I would of course prefer the game to come out sometime in June, but that's next month. At this point it seems like we'll find out the date in June, which I guess is when we'll find out about E3

wow, that's really good reversal! And this will hopefully be the next game, since the next one won't be KH3 I believe. Nomura did say that people don't technically die in the KH universe so they all have to be able to come back somehow...

Okay, everybody's already pointed out that Roxas and Namine are special nobodies, which I agree with. Here's where I'm confused: Xion resembles Kairi because of Sora's strong memories of her, got it. In a Nomura interview I'm pretty sure he hinted that Roxas' appearance has to do with Sora's and Ven's connection with each other. All the other Organization members look almost exactly the same as their former human selves. So where exactly does that leave Kairi and Namine? Could something that happened to Sora possibly have happened to Kairi in a way that would make her nobody look different? They could just be "special" nobodies, or there could possibly be more to it.
