For Birth by Sleep it is either 9 - 10 years or 10 - 11 years before the events of Kingdom Hearts I. Chain of Memories begins in the middle of the final cutscene of Kingdom Hearts that includes Sora, Donald and Goofy. 358/2 Days begins at the end of Kingdom Hearts not 3/4 into it. 358/2 Days begins at the end of Hollow Bastion I. Re:coded begins at the very end of Kingdom Hearts II after the Ending and the Credits but before the last two/three cutscenes. This is confirmed as Re:coded's Ending ties into the last cutscene Sora, Riku and Kairi are seen in Kingdom Hearts II. Kingdom Hearts 3D is after Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts II. But we do not know how long after Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts II it is. And we do not know how long it will be between Kingdom Hearts 3D and Kingdom Hearts III. I agree but how does that mean that 358/2 Days starts after KH1? 3/4 is just a generalization made since 358/2 Days technically starts directly after Sora becomes a heartless, which is not quite the end of KH1 but definitely past the halfway point.

I'm not sure if we're completely certain until Nomura officially announces it, but he has stated that besides KH3D there's another "mystery game" to be released. Since Birth by Sleep Volume 2 was stated in the trailer, that's all we can assume at this point

Just be patient ^^ We'll get all the awesome stuff if we just wait and appreciate the great people getting this stuff for us so if the trailer info gives proper hints, I can assume this is the timeline (for now, and correct me if I'm wrong please) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (Episode 0, 10 years before KH1) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Volume 2 (Episode 0.5, covers the 10 years leading to KH1 and possibly covering plot holes by going through KH1?) Kingdom Hearts (Episode 1) Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (starts 3/4 through KH1 and leads up to KH2) and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (Starts directly after KH1) Kingdom Hearts II (Episode 2) Kingdom Hearts Coded (directly after KH2) Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (after Coded and leading into KH3?) Kingdom Hearts III !!! (Episode 3)

Yaaaaaayyy! Now I just want to know what these are all about lol. My guess is that they want to fill most of the plot holes and backstory with the next two games and open up the new plot for KH3

That's what I'm wondering. Is it a new game? So is there going to be KH3D, BBS Volume 2 (or whatever the supposing title is) and then the infamous KH3? Unless Nomura adds even more games to stress some out (laughs) I wonder if this is the lineup. But this secret ending was awesome! I'm still a mix of: "OMFG sooo cool!!!" and "WTF is this all about???"

If the secret episode is meant for even those playing in beginner mode, it has to be something accomplished easily for all levels. Some of you are thinking too hard into this as if this was another game where you have to beat a big boss or something to get the reward

Yeah, him stating the darkness was getting to him was referring to losing some hope at getting out of there just like Riku lost hope when it came to the darkness. He felt content to let whatever happen to happen since he restored order

It might depend on the day ^^...or whoever is PO'd. There are benefits and drawbacks to each so it's hard to choose. I guess it's just easier to say that Ven and Sora would never get in a fight

You would think that Nomura would have said so already considering the game is out in a week. I also wonder if it's something that all characters are going through, but it looks to only be Aqua (although that does make sense)

I got mine when I picked up Re:Coded like the second Gamestop opened. Those stickers are so cute I don't think I'll end up taking them out of the package. They might end up taped on my dorm wall or something

Sorry I've been gone from the forums for months! Let's just say my life has been crazy what with severe family drama, the death of a friend, and juggling both university work and a demanding tutoring job. I'm really happy that things are settling down though and I'm a bit more at peace with myself and I can find the time to come back to this place that I love and hopefully will never leave again.

Thanks! It's awesome how going to college now though I can see how many girls and boys really do like Kingdom Hearts and other video games. It's amazing how open and accepting people are outside of high school.

Japan gets the original, then the English version gets extra stuff, then Japan gets the final mix with the things added in the English version PLUS extra stuff. Not quite balanced, but as long as I can see the FM extra cutscenes and secret movies on youtube I'm happy

And you know this how? Really, we don't know when it takes place, we don't know what its about, and we don't know anything out of a description of a trailer. There is no way to think it is pointless from one description of a trailer. Your either judging to quickly, or are just upset it is on 3DS or is not KH3. I second that. How the heck can you hate a game you've never played?

I've got a little brother (year younger) and stepsister (2 years younger). And my brother is cool since he's the one who likes Kingdom Hearts. (although when we're talking about it may be the only time I like him, lol)

well I always wanted a DS and getting 358/2 Days is what pushed me to finally buy it along with the other games I wanted. I'm borrowing a PSP for BBS, and I just really want a 3DS, but not only for KH.

I couldn't really see that the first time, but I like the first one better. The second one seems to wordy to even be close to natural while the first one just sounds wise

I also think that could be it. Not everything is fixed or makes sense to them just yet I think. Sora's the type who just seems to go with it even when confused...but he probably can't save everyone yet

Whether people liked the gameplay or not, Days offered a missing link (quite a few actually) to the story and was a necessity. All the games offer new pieces to this great and complicated puzzle of a story
