Mariah’s face was a mixture of surprise and annoyance, then transitioned to a sad and tired expression. After having seen Elie’s reaction to the news of Joy’s capture, Mariah wondered if Elie was telling the truth about not wanting him. But maybe the crying had just been Aerith’s influence. Either way, it was hard for Mariah to stay angry with someone after they apologized to her, so she had to at least try to forgive Elie. She took a deep breath. “I-it’s okay,” she answered, giving a small smile. “I know what it’s like when your Inhabiter takes over your will. Been there, done that. Not much you can do about it until your Inhabiter calms down.”

(Haha so is that a yes? I figured that since they were planning to travel long distances in it there would be at least some food and bedding. Not necessarily like camping gear, but just stuff that might be on a musician's tour bus or whatever.)

(Okay... So since the bus thing belonged to your characters, can my character find anything in there? Like would there be food or blankets or other necessities stashed in the vehicle? Since a lot of the other characters are camping out and all...)

Alexis pretended to be sympathetic toward Scott to play along with him. “Do you really think they’ll even listen to your side of the story for a second?” she asked in a soothing but reasoning tone. “The moment you turn yourself in, those monsters are going to lock you away forever, or worse. They’re ruthless. You know that. But...family is important...” she sighed. “I just can’t believe they would go so far to capture any of us. What did you ever do to them?” ------------------------------------------------------------ Rebekah’s smile disappeared. “Wait...are you serious?” she asked, stunned.

After Scott had gone into the men’s room, Alexis hurried into the women’s. She got in front of the mirror and tugged at the roots of her hair with her fingers, trying to calm herself down. Either Scott was outright lying to her to give her a false sense of security, or he was completely insane and telling the truth. And what if he was telling the truth? Would she kill Ethan? It wasn’t like they were exactly chummy, but she couldn’t think of a reason to off him, either. As long as he didn’t get in her way... As for killing Scott, the guy was right--she wouldn’t have any second thoughts about killing him. She didn’t know why he scared her so much, because she had dealt with plenty of extremely threatening and powerful men in her career...but the sooner he was gone, the easier she would rest. She sighed, washed her hands, and walked back to the table. ------------------------------------------------------------ Rebekah sighed quietly with relief. Felix was truly a gentleman. She looked back at him and said, “Thanks.” That was when she saw a thoughtful expression on his face. She wondered what he was thinking about, but asking would make her feel invasive, so she pretended she hadn’t noticed. She smiled. “You know...you’re a really great guy.” ------------------------------------------------------------ “Alright, I think I’m going to head for camp,” Mariah said as soon as her arms were full of plants. She retraced her and Alex’s footsteps, then began walking in the direction she had seen Rebekah and Felix go.

Rebekah hurried to the other side of the tree and did as Felix had suggested. The tree bent over easily. “Wow,” Rebekah said with a smile. “So what now?” ------------------------------------------------------------ Alexis had caught Scott’s glance toward the door and grew suspicious. What was he up to? She started debating on whether she should just bail. Maybe he actually had no need for her and was planning to take her out soon. On the other hand, James was right there, and she knew that he would protect her at any cost, so maybe she was safe for the time being. “Thanks for handling the bill, Scott,” she said casually. “I don’t think I’ll be able to make a dent in all this food were ordering, but it’s a good thing I’m with two men...soon to be three, hopefully. Anyway, I’m going to use the restroom real quick.” As she got up, she gave Scott a signal with her eyes and indicated she wanted to talk to him, and he should follow her. The restrooms were down a hallway out of sight of the table, so James wouldn’t see them talking if Scott was willing to go with her. She couldn’t stand how uneasy this guy was making her, and she had to get to the bottom of this. Of course, he may tell her a completely bogus story, but she had to try to get something out of him.

Okay, I'll have a go... What can I do to be a better RP'er? And I expect you to be completely honest with me.

Rebekah giggled and her nervousness melted away for a moment. “Sounds good to me,” she replied.

(HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!) Rebekah looked down and her face turned bright red as Felix held her dirt-covered hand. “Thanks... Oh, um, yeah, that sounds like a good idea,” Rebekah said. His grasp on her hand nearly caused her to tremble, but she was somehow able to suppress it. “How will we go about that?”

Alexis grinned inwardly. So he was powerful, with Sephiroth’s help. It would only be a matter of uncaging the Inhabiter. “I’m glad to hear that,” she said. “I would hate for something to happen to you.” She gave a worried smile. “Come on, let’s go inside. I’ll feel safer in there, where no one will try to look for us.”
