  1. This guy gets bit by a small shark and his first priority is to make sure the shark survives over his leg this is the level I want to reach in my own job
  2. Michael looked at Allan, his anger melting away into shame. He had never misbehaved, not like that. Certainly not in front of a partner. He pursed his lips, lowering his head. "It wasn't you, Allan. I'm...I'm sorry, Allan. It's just, that guy, he-!" Michael stopped, gritting his teeth as his hands tightened into fists, ever so strong that he pierced his skin, drawing blood. He looked at Allan. "You can't trust him, Allan. I'm serious. If you see him, walk the opposite way. If he gets near you, you spray garlic at him, and whatever you do, don't look into his eyes. Keep your distance until he's sent away. Promise me that, Allan." Michael insisted, holding his shoulders tight enough to bruise, quickly letting him go before he ended up hurting him. "Please...stay away from him." Michael asked, his eyes suddenly watering up. However, he didn't cry tears, instead he cried the only liquid his body really needed and contained; blood. Michael's body tensed up uncomfortably. Ryder stepped in, frowning as he handed Michael some tissues. "Allan, with all due respect, I ask of you to step outside. This...is a sensitive matter." Ryder said, guiding Allan away. "He'll need some time. It's not the first time this has happened, I assure you he'll be fine. Just...needs to calm himself out." Ryder insisted, turning away as he closed the door gently, leaving Allan outside. Suddenly- "I'm sorry about Michael." Aldrich stood closely down the hall, giving Allan a sincere smile. "It's...been a while since he's had a panic attack like that. Reason why I requested transfer. He hasn't been the same since the Blood Moon Murders." He offered, internally smirking to himself. "I would like to tell you my side, if you would allow it." He was a spider, and all he needed was for Allan to step into his web.
  3. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Henry, Aura & Everyth - Helios glanced up. At last, Lord Raiden was about to arrive for his speech. Tension suddenly rose, people's whispers only becoming louder as they all began to get ready, joining up in groups as they moved to the tent. Helios nodded at Henry. "Everyone is anxious for his announcement. I would be lying if I said I wasn't in the same position." Helios admitted, looking up at Henry. "I won't be able to see Raiden with so many people though...oh!" Helios gasped, coming up with an idea. He closed his eyes, white smoke suddenly surrounding him. From the smoke, up Henry's arm, a white ferret began to climb up Henry before climbing on top of his head, proceeding to rest there now with a pretty good view from the top of Henry's head. "There we go." Helios, in his ferret form said, wagging his tail as he looked down at Henry, tilting his head as he did. "I promise not to mess up your hair, Henry." - Arthur - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Draksis - Arthur perked his head up, looking over at Draksis. "We should join up with the King. It seems Lord Raiden's going to finally speak soon." Arthur said, gesturing over to the King and Alex before walking over to the two. "Alex. Feeling better?" Arthur asked as he stepped up. He then bowed to King Alderon. "Your majesty." He straightened up. "I suggest we begin to join the others in the tent. Raiden will be speaking soon...I'm sure we all want to hear what he has to say." Arthur said, smiling his usual smile. By the morning he was calmer than the night before, though he still thought about the book in his bag constantly, and of course, about Midnea. Or more specifically how he would like to kick her despite everything he was taught as a knight told him otherwise. Because she was no lady to him. Not any longer, at least. - Arthur & Alex FLASHBACK END - Sneak Mission -
  4. Tabitha and Draven stood close by Allan. The rest of the members either carefully watched the fight in case they needed to avoid an incoming hit. "I've never seen Michael so...angry." Tabitha admitted, her eyes wide. "I've never seen him fight like that...he isn't holding back." Draven said, gulping as he watched warily, the Warden arriving as she yelled for the two to stop. Michael and Aldrich were still going it at it, pulling and pushing at each other. However, while Aldrich was fighting in a more defensive stance, Michael was definitely going for the kill. He aimed his hits right in the neck or in the head. Aldrich had already gone through multiple close calls with Michael almost decapitating him, yet he never lost his cool. Michael seemed to fully ignore the Warden's warning, suddenly dashing straight at Aldrich as the speed of the lunge created a large crated on the floor, Michael aiming for decapitation once more. However- "Michael! Stop this!" Michael stopped mere inches away from Aldrich's neck, locking his body in place as he looked back at Allan, his eyes full of killing intent as he breathed heavily. "...Allan-!" "CASSIO AND BACHMANN!" The Warden screamed at the top of her lungs, glaring at the two as she breathed heavily. "The two of you; to Evington's office. NOW." The Warden ordered. "But-!" "Now." Aldrich fixed himself up, Michael gripping his fists tightly as he stepped away. The two turned to jump through the hole that they had created, only for the Warden to instruct them otherwise, before escorting the two of them to the elevator. "Call in the Clean Up crew. I want this cleaned up by tomorrow morning." The Warden said as she disappeared along with the two vampires. As soon as they were off the floor, whispers began to go wildly, questioning of what the actual hell had happened. Draven looked over at the two, eyes wide. "What the hell was that?!" Inside the office, both were reprimanded and scolded by both the Warden and Evington, but mostly Michael due to him initiating the fight. "Michael, we cannot have this repeat itself. Do you understand?" The Warden warned. "I can't believe you would allow him in here." Michael hissed. "As hot tempered as ever." Aldrich scoffed. "Both of you; I do not give a damn about whatever rivalry it is that you have. When it comes to the job, it comes first. I cannot have the two of you fighting, risking the lives of those around you while destroying the base. A single more confrontation and both of you will be forced into Stasis Suspension, and that is if I'm feeling in a good enough mood to not outright fire you! Am I clear?!" The Warden yelled, shutting the two of them up. "Yes mam." Michael said, his tone low. "Yes." Aldrich said, glancing over at Michael, who simply growled at him in response. The Warden rested back. "You are dismissed, Aldrich. Michael, stay." The Warden ordered. Aldich gave Michael a smile, before walking out of the room, closing the door behind him. "...Michael." "It's him. I know it's him. I'm telling you. Why on Earth would you bring him back?! Why on Earth would you bring him HERE?!" "Michael, he is an agent of M&M, and he has been transferred here to work until further notice. This is beyond my control." "He already knows of Allan. Are you seriously going to let him kill another one and expect me to do nothing?!" "There is no proof, Michael! This obsession has to stop!" The Warden slammed her hands on the desk, glaring at Michael. "You are to see Dr. Ryder for evaluation. Immediately." "...yes mam." Michael said, barely controlling his anger. "Good. You are dismissed." The Warden said. Michael turned, walking out the door, before slamming it closed hard enough to leave cracks in the wall around the door frame.
  5. Arthur: I AM SO MAD Alex: um Arthur about that lightning Arthur: My dad is a lightning creature named Raiju BUT THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT MIDNEA THO
  6. Draven perked his head up at Allan's complain. "Well, you're the only human in this department. I wouldn't be surprised that you turn a lot of heads." Draven said as he drank his milk. Tabitha wiped her mouth clean with a napkin. "Believe it or not, humans within monster-related business are highly attractive to monsters. It's not common for humans to know about us, so you peek interest." Tabitha said with a smile. Michael slurped some blood from a bag with a straw. "Who was the guy anyways? If he bothers you again you can tell the Warden and she'll-!" Michael suddenly stopped, his eyes widening as he dropped the bag of blood. He suddenly grabbed Allan by the shoulder, leaning in before sniffing him. Draven and Tabitha tilted their heads. "What are you doing, Michael?" Tabitha asked. "You could just ask what cologne he uses, my man." Draven joked. Michael remained silent, before slowly his pupils turned from their normal rounded shape into slits. He abruptly stood as he let go of Allan, not saying a word as he walked away. Tabitha stared at him. "What is wrong with him?" She asked, getting up to pick up his empty bag of blood and throw it to the nearest trashcan. "Never seen him act like that before." Draven said, looking over to Allan. "Did you wear garlic scented cologne or something?" Draven joked, laughing at himself while Tabitha rolled her eyes. "Very funny." Tabitha hummed, continuing to eat her food. For a few minutes, everything was normal while they talked and ate. Suddenly, there was a rumble, and right in the middle of the mess hall, something fell from the ceiling. Well, more like crashed right through before landing right on one of the tables, luckily empty, dust and pieces of cement falling around as a giant hole now existed in the ceiling. Members gasped, looking up the hole. It had gone through 2 different floors before landing in this one. As the dust cleared, it revealed none other than Aldrich, chuckling in amusement as he remained unharmed, even while he snapped the table in half with his fall. "Well, I didn't expect that." Aldrich said, smirking as he saw Michael jump from the first hole down to the mess hall, landing gracefully before standing up. He...seemed different. His pupils were slit, his eyes glowing as his gloves had come off, his nails as sharp as knives. Aldrich stood up, smiling as he cracked his bones. "Come on, Michael. We don't have to do this." Aldrich insisted, raising his hands before taking off his gloves himself, revealing his sharpened nails. Michael didn't say a word, instead growling inhumanly as he took a step forward. Aldrich scoffed, before suddenly disappearing to the naked eye, re-appearing in front of Michael. Michael grabbed a hold of him by the chest, before spinning him and throwing him right into the nearest wall, causing Aldrich to leave a crater in the shape of his body. Aldrich rolled out of the way as Michael threw a punch right into the wall, the wall collapsing on itself due to his strength before chasing right after Aldrich, the two exchanging blows so fast sparks flew. The members watched in horror, eyes widening as they realized what was happening. "VAMPIRE FIGHT!!!" "Someone call the warden!!!"
  7. Michael followed Allan, sitting next to him while giving him enough space for him to calm down. He frowned, looking down. "You did what was right. I am sure that if you hadn't done that, then he would've gotten free." Michael said, eyes narrowing slightly. "It's never easy, Allan." He began. "It's...one of the worst feelings out there. To take the life of someone is something no one has the right to do, regardless of who they are. Yet, at times like in this case, it had to happen, or risk losing innocent lives in the process. That is why you are a detective, a policeman of the forces of M&M. You are seeking justice, and taking the risks and actions that no one else will do for the sake of everyone else. It's...it's the burden every one of us bear." Michael said. He chuckled. "The Warden isn't mad. This happens a lot. Suspects are too dangerous and are killed in action. It's just protocol." He assured as he gently rubbed his back. "It'll go away. You may never forget...but I promise you. You're doing the right thing. It's your duty to do so, and everyone knows it. And if anyone gives you crap about it, I'll kick their butt. You're my partner, after all." Michael assured. He knew the pain. The confusion. The sickness. To take a life for the first time. To some, they gain a rush of adrenaline. To others, and most, they gain the painful reality of what they had done. He would get used to it, he assured it. He just...needed time. ~*SOLUM PRISON ARC: END*~ - A Few Weeks Later - Rumors of the mission at Solum Prison spread like wildfire. Of course, it wasn't like if it was a secret. Once it was all cleared, local monster-specific news outlets reported on the news of the Solum Prison director being responsible for the deaths and disappearances in the prison, and that he was killed by officers in action. Whispers of how a human was able to take down the Soul Eater brought both intrigue and numerous of mixed emotions. Yet, in the very end, he had done his job, and despite anyone's personal opinion, it was justified. Allan was referred to see Ryder from time to time for psychological evaluation and overall just to make sure that he was alright to continue with his job. After a few weeks from the incident, everything slowly blended back into normal, taking on simple cases, some less stressful than others as everyone fell into routine. As the sun set down on the city, through the main doors of M&M, a handsome young man in a suit walked right in, holding an umbrella over himself, and wearing shades. He removed his shades and closed his umbrella, using it as a cane of sorts as he got his shades away. His appearance and aura alone had some of the young people of the station already swooning. Yet, his attention was quickly attracted to someone in specific. His eyes narrowed as he saw a human exchanging paperwork in the main desk. He was definitely human; he smelled like one. But something else also caught his attention. A familiar scent. Michael. The young man chuckled, smirking as his sharpened fangs showed. "My my..." He whispered, walking straight towards Allan, his red eyes gleaming in interest. "Let's see you save this one, Michael." ~*CHARMED ARC: BEGIN*~
  8. As Allan put an end to Richard's life with three bullets, everyone went eerily silent. Michael watched with wide eyes, gently pulling on his caned whip as it reverted back to it's cane shape, releasing the body. Some people cheered, bidding good riddance, while others stared in shock, not knowing what to do or say. Whispers and murmurs began to rumble about. Regardless, Richard was dead. Michael was quick to pull Allan closer as he glanced around the room of monsters. "Deadly force was necessary. If we had waited any longer he would have broken free, and killed an officer and who knows how many more." Michael explained, looking around the room. The guards looked at each other, some nodding slightly. "The culprit was right among you. As the one you least expected." Michael turned to the officers. "Get everyone back to their cells. We'll call our superiors and request backup to finish this up." Michael asked, quickly taking out his cellphone. The officers began to get everyone back to their cells, returning to their posts as Michael called the Warden. "We found the culprit, but deadly force was needed. Requesting backup for post-encounter investigation." Michael explained, the Warden humming on the other end. "I will send a group by helicopter. Await their arrival for further orders." With that, the Warden hung up. Michael got his cellphone away, leading Allan out to the hallway as he closed the door to the office. "Guard this place. It is an active crime scene until cleared by the investigators. We will be at our guest room." Michael informed, before quickly hurrying Allan and himself back to the room they were given while here. It was standard procedure. They needed to isolate themselves, wait for the other investigators to arrive and make their own investigation before clearing them. Standard procedure to avoid any further trouble down the line. He closed the door behind them, sighing. "They'll be here soon. We'll have to remain here until they clear us. It's standard. It shouldn't take too long." Michael assured, looking down at Allan. "...are you ok?"
  9. Vita shook Blaise's hand, smiling. "Nice to meet you." Vita looked up at Zauber, laughing at his statement of Donald. She slowly let go of her father's hand, deciding to go ahead and find a seat in the boat. Vanitas didn't really respond to Donald's outrage very much, just raising his eyebrow slightly as he watched the young kid having to hold his beak shut to convince him otherwise. He frowned slightly, but then again, he didn't blame him. "I mean no harm or trouble. I just want to make sure that the boat arrives to the mainland safe...and in one piece." Vanitas assured, glancing over as he watched the kids board the ship, his gaze falling on Maverik for a few moments before turning back to Blaise, and the other child, Zauber. His blue hair was a dead giveaway of who's child he was from, Vanitas tensing momentarily before sighing. No grudges, no fights, none of that crap. Not today. He was too tired for any of it. Years of coming to terms with many, many things, learning to control his emotions, he didn't need to have it all fall because of a very annoying duck. "I'm Vanitas. It's nice to meet you two." Vanitas said, giving them a smile in hopes to ease the tension. Truth be told, he was glad he was allowed to at the very least join the first trip. Leaving Vita alone in the mainland was worrying enough, even when he had full confidence in her. At least seeing her arrive in one piece could put him at ease for the day. "Right. I can help with anything heavy, if needed." Vanitas said, looking over at Maverik, who was already taking pictures for his own amusement. "Maverik. Sign in." Vanitas called, familiar with Maleficent's child. Quite the cheerful that one. Troublemaker too. But undoubtedly talented. Maverik looked back, waving. "Right!" He said, jumping back down. Though instead of getting in line, like an actual responsible human being, he just walked around Blaise and Zauber, hanging by their general area. "Am I on the list? I should be on the list! The name's Maverik!"
  10. It's 22 F I'm not ready
  11. - Vita & Maverik - Months ago... "Second Change Teenager Program?" Vanitas read the paper out loud, before looking up at his daughter, Vita. "Yeah. They came to school to talk to us about it today." Vita explained, watching anxiously as she saw her parents read over the given brochure. Apparently, the mainland had decided to give a chance to the children of the Bad Lands. Offering a program for them to live and study in the mainland, and gain new experiences. What were they playing at? "Is it safe?" Vita's mother asked. "Yeah! I mean, it should be, and it's sponsored by the officials of the island, so..." Vita explained, playing with a string of her hair. Vanitas glanced back down at the brochure, and then back at his wife, and then back at Vita. "Think we can talk about it, your mother and I?" "Go ahead and wash up for dinner, alright dear?" Vita nodded, hurrying off to her room up the stairs. Vanitas sighed, looking down at the brochure. The two stood in silence for a few moments, before Vanitas spoke up. "I think we should allow it." Vita's mother looked over. "It is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, isn't it? But...will she be able to fit in?" She asked. Vanitas huffed at the thought. Vita was considered to be normal here. But in mainland standards? It was a complete guess. Not only that, but her powers would stand out as well. The bullying concern was definitely there. "I...I think she'll be alright." Vanitas looked up. "She's growing up. The world won't coddle her, and she has to learn to stand up for herself. No training that I can give her can teach her that lesson. She has to learn it herself. Besides...this is something worth the try. Xehanort screwed me up big time, and I've done many things that I cannot reverse or fix. Vita has a new start. She deserves better." Vanitas insisted, staring down at the brochure. Maybe with this, she'll get the chance of a life free of the stigma of the Bad Lands. New beginning. "A program from the mainland?" Maleficent stared down at the brochure handed to her by her son, Maverik. "Yeah. They're going to accept students to go study abroad at the mainland! It looks really fun. I really want to go." Maverik insisted, smiling at his mother. Maleficent looked down at the brochure with distain. "Sounds like nonsense to me." "It's not! Come on, mom! I really want to go! I can learn so much!" Maverik insisted, crossing his arms. "You can study here. You need to also focus on your training. You have to move onto the next level of your training." "Well, too bad! Cause I already signed up!" "You what?!" Maleficent stood up, menacingly looking down at Maverik, who didn't back down. "I signed up. They're already going to send the paperwork!" Maverik said. "What are you thinking?! Attending school in the mainland! That is-That is-!" Maleficent suddenly paused, her eyes widening momentarily before slowly smirking. "...brilliant." "What?" "It's brilliant! We are forbidden from stepping foot onto the island, but you-" Maleficent grabbed Maverik's shoulders. "You can! You can enter the mainland and create the paths that we can't-" Maverik suddenly shook his mother's hands off him. "No." Maverik said, looking away. "We're not doing this! You're not ruining this for me!" Maverik hissed, walking away. "Maverik darling-!" "I really want this mom!" Maverik turned to his mother, saddened. "This could be my one and only chance to go to the mainland. I don't want to waste it. Please, mom." Maverik asked. Maleficent paused, before gently rubbing his cheeks. "Very well. I can see this means a lot to you...I'm sorry my dear." She said, her tone soft and welcoming. She opened her arms for a hug, and though hesitant, Maverik hugged her. "Thanks mom." "Of course. As long as you're happy." Maverik ran back, seeing the twins walk up. He waved at them, hurrying over. "Anni! Zather!" Maverik said, waving at the two as he approached. "Are you guys ready? I'm so excited!" Maverik asked, looking up at Vanitas and then at Vita. "What about you, Vita?!" Maverik asked. "I'm excited." Vita said, holding to her dad's hand still. Vanitas stared down at Maverik, staring at him for a moment. "Did you eat sugar before coming here?" "Yeah! How did you know?!" "Lucky guess."
  12. I'm crying in Kitchen Nightmares I am so happy for them
  13. Michael looked at Allan, then back at Richard. They had received permission to use deadly force if necessary before leaving for here. But should they? It would be...an ironic end. Michael shook his head. "We must attempt to control him. If push comes to shove, not left with a choice, then we'll kill him." Michael insisted. Richard began to laugh, looking at Allan. "Oh the human thinks he can kill me? Oh how the tables have turned! And here you think yourself to be the judge and jury now?!" Richard yelled, his chains whipping wildly around him as his leg bled. He was still mortal. He could still die. That much was certain, even for a Soul Eater. "Well...I guess this is it then. Then I have one last request...my last meal." Richard's eyes turned as black as the night, no other color or light inside of them, staring right at Allan. Richard used the chains to whip everyone to the side before dashing straight at Allan, laughing as he reached his hands out to him. "YOU'LL JOIN ME IN THE AFTERLIFE, DETECTIVE!" Michael's eyes widened, quickly rolling onto his feet. "Allan!" He dashed towards him, swinging his whip as he had it wrap around Richard. He pulled on it, tightly getting a hold of the soul eater right before he reached Allan, a mere feet away from killing him. Richard pulled back on the whip as Richard struggled, grunting as he tried to inch closer to Allan, but Michael's whip would not budge. "Contain him!" Michael yelled, looking back at the officers. One of them, a human mage, was quickly gathering people around. "I'm working on it!" She said, holding her hands together as she formed a magic trap in her hands, forming it up for Richard. Meanwhile, Richard simply chuckled, by this point tears falling down his cheeks as he looked right at Allan. "Well?" Richard asked, leaning his head closer to him. "Go ahead. You want me dead, don't you? Go ahead. Do it. Embrace the role. Feel what I once felt. Be the Judge. Be the court. Be the executioner." Richard offered, smirking all the way. "DO IT!" Allan now had a choice. > [PULL THE TRIGGER] [sPARE HIM] >>>>>
  14. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Henry, Aura & Everyth - Helios perked his head up as Everyth arrived, remaining close to Henry. Her scent was familiar, but her appearance was not. It took him a few moments to remember her, the same woman they once encountered before, long ago when they were attempting their escape from Alderon's dungeon. My, how time had passed, and it seemed that it had not been kind to her despite it being short. His hands moved around his necklace, holding it dearly as he glanced around. They had most likely enticed the fury of Kilkis Seres. The murder of a Queen was no laughing matter. Yet, his mind went back to Jynn. The young prince. He had lost his mother, and now was most likely expected to finish what was started. "I hope Jynn is ok." - Arthur - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Draksis - Arthur rubbed his cheek bashfully, but blushed brightly once he mentioned marriage. He rubbed the back of his head bashfully. "I-I mean, I don't know, I would be honored, I truly would love to, I mean, we haven't really talked in a while..." Arthur cleared his throat, chuckling as he had himself calm down. He glanced around, taking a look at King Alderon having a chat with Alex. His expression softened, lowering his hand as he moved it in front of his face, feeling the scars on his face. He was a killer, yet a survivor. It was killed or to be killed, yet he couldn't help but to feel the guilt creep up on him, pulling heavily on his heart. But what weighted him down the most, was the sake of the matter of the book, the same one he held in his messenger bag, holding it close and tight. He couldn't keep this a secret forever, but was now the right moment? In the middle of a war, in an uncertain time? Then when would it be? Wars could last for years...and Visco didn't have that much. - Arthur & Alex FLASHBACK - Sneak Mission -
  15. Richard's jaw dropped, glaring at Allan. Michael smiled at Allan, his eyes gleaming. Holy crap, that was brilliant! For once, prisoners and police did not fight, instead watched the event unfold. The prisoners watched from the hallway, the guards were quick to enter the room, weapons in hand as they all pointed at Richard, slowly surrounding him. "Director...put your hands over your head, and kneel on the floor." One of the guards ordered. Richard looked around, his expression paling. Everything he had worked for had fallen apart, all because of a single, stupid human. "What do you think you're doing? Lower your weapons!" Richard demanded. No one moved. Richard gritted his teeth, glaring at the two detectives. "I did this, for the sake of our world! To clean the filth, to get rid of the dangerous prisoners that could harm you and your families! How dare you betray me?! After all I have done for you?!" Richard screamed, gripping his hands. He breathed heavily, chuckling maniacally before slowly looking up. "I see...very well. So you want the filth to spread. To receive second chances?" Richard snapped his head up, eyes glowing red. "THEN YOU'RE ALL FILTH TO ME! YOU WILL ALL BE DEVOURED!" Richard screamed, a glowing aura surrounding him as he began to let his magic loose. "Get down!" "Get him!" The officers all jumped on top of Richard, hurrying to contain him. Richard roared, throwing the detectives off him as magic spread across the room, shattering the windows. Michael quickly hurried to Allan, kicking the desk over as the surface faced the fight. Michael pulled Allan down with him behind it, using the desk much like a shield as it protected them from the momentary magic. Richard floated, his eyes glowing as he created chains out of phantasm magic, whipping them wildly as he threw officers around like dolls. Michael let go of Allan, jumping over the desk as he blocked one of the chains with his cane. "YOUR SOUL WILL BE MOST APPETIZING, VAMPIRE!" "Sorry, you're not my type." Michael deflected the chains, quickly turning his cane into a whip as he began to deflect the attacks with it, sharp precision as the other officers tried to help.
  16. Michael held his cane in front of him, staying close to Allan was Richard stood up, walking forward. "You two may leave. I will handle this." Richard said. The guards looked at each other, and then back at the director. "Sir?" One of them asked. Richard waved at them. "I will call you if I need you. Surely these detectives are suffering a bit of cabin fever." Richard insisted. The guards glanced at each other, before nodding, saluting and stepping away, closing the door behind them. Richard waited for a few seconds, before chuckling. "Man, and here I thought they would just send your standard, by the book detectives that would just go along like those before them." Richard said, beginning to walk across the room. Michael and Allan slowly walks the opposite direction, keeping a distance from Richard. Michael gestured Allan to get behind the desk for cover as he stood right in front of it. Richard sighed. "I admit, you two are truly brilliant. Even the human!" "You bounded those souls. You killed those prisoners!" Michael hissed. "Technically, the ghosts killed them-!" "The ghosts that you bound and forced under your command!" "Oh and what is so wrong about it?" Richard frowned, getting his hands behind his back. "You know who they are, right? Criminals. They have done nothing but destroy the balance and peace that is required within society. They are nothing. Do you really think that their deaths would be missed? That they would cause any difference in this world?" "That is not your authority to decide!" "Oh save me the speech, would you? I admit, I did wrong in killing those children. I was young, naive, wild, but then as I grew, I realized that there was no use in eating the souls of those who would be missed. When I decided to become a police officer, I didn't realize it. But once I became director, the idea came to me. A revelation! I could clean the world from the filth that taints it, one at a time!" Richard got his hands to his chest. "These people, these souls, are finally being put to good use, their bodies used to feed those good people who could actually do good to the world! Can you really blame me for doing something so noble?" "This isn't noble! Your job is to keep these prisoners safe from themselves, not bring judgement upon them! That is not your role!" "The judgement given is sometimes not enough! I make sure that these prisoners learn the lessons that they have to learn. To obey the rules of society, or else suffer at the hands of ultimate judgement, to which not even the gods may save them!" Richard hissed, glaring at the two. "What you have done, the deaths you have created, is against many laws and rules that govern this prison and the rest of the system. We won't let you get away with this! You will be tried for your crimes, Richard!" "Oh? And who will believe you?" Richard cooed, smirking. "I am the Director of this prison, have been for the past 5 years, with a flawless record. I am admired by both my prisoners and my staff. Do you really think they're going to believe you? Two detectives playing hero? Two detectives how had become friends with a recently deceased prisoner? A paranoid human?" Richard asked, confident as he chuckled, his eyes glowing red ever so slightly.
  17. "Never. When I came here it was a simple tour to find out a simple case of thefts. I don't think anyone even knows this exists." Michael followed Allan close, his hand on his cane, ready to unleash it at a moment's notice. When they reached the dungeon like area, Michael tensed. He could smell the old, dried up blood inside the cells. Right in the middle there was a metal bed, with cuffs and chains. Beneath it, there was a large, complicated magical seal drawn in paint. Michael looked over to Allan as he spoke with Theodosia on ghost matters. "If it was a ghost, it would've been detected in a previous investigation of it. Most investigations have something to source that kind of activity out. But what we saw..." Michael hummed, eyes narrowing as he looked around. "...you're not suppose to be here." Michael jumped, quickly getting in front of Allan as he spun his cane, unleashing the whip as it swung around behind him. However, there was nothing he could hurt. Instead, there stood, floated, a ghostly figure of a young boy. He wore a torn school uniform of some sort, and had deer horns on his head. He didn't look older than 13 and yet...he was dead. A ghost. "...what the..." Michael asked, pulling his whip back. The ghost stared at them. "You're not suppose to be here." It repeated. Michael stared. "You...are you the ghost that has been causing the murders?" He asked. "Yes." Another voice spoke. As they turned they saw two other figures. A young girl, and a teenage boy, two more ghosts. "You can't be here! You have to leave!" The girl said. Michael raised his hands. "Please calm down! My name is Michael, this is my partner, Allan. We are detectives, trying to find out about the accidents that have been happening around the prison." Michael explained. "Detectives?" The teenage boy asked, eyes narrowing. "So, you're from the outside of the prison?" He asked. "Yes." Michael confirmed. The teenager looked down at the two, and then back at the detectives. "We are the ones that have been doing the accidents, but you have to listen!" The teenager asked. The girl shook her head. "No! We'll get in trouble!" She insisted. "Screw that! We finally have a chance! This could be our freedom ticket!" He hissed. "What...is going on?" Michael asked. The three ghosts looked at the detectives, then back at each other. The teenager cleared his throat. "My name is Alex. This is Mina and Xavier. We...we were murdered." "Murdered?!" "Yes, but long ago! Not even here!" Alex began. "We were all victims of a series of murders that were apparently never resolved. This was...this was over 10 years ago." Alex explained. "Then why are you here?" "Because our killer is a Soul Eater!" Mina yelled, stepping up. "He bound us to his service! We've been with him, and over the past year, we've been forced to create these accidents so he can feed on their souls! If we didn't do it we...he would eat us!" Mina yelled. Michael looked at Allan and then back at the ghosts. "Who is it? Who's doing all of this?" The ghosts gulped. "Richard Velazquez."
  18. Before Richard could say a word, Allan and Michael were running out of his office. "This is insane! Someone, or something has to be targeting them!" Michael hissed, following after Allan. The hallway was rather crowded, but controlled thanks to the efforts of the guards. Rumors and whispers went rampant as the two approached the scene. The chandelier had fallen right on top of her, the impact instantly killing her. "This is getting out of control." Michael said, looking around at the chandelier. He followed the chain, gently taking a closer look at it...was this chain cut?! "What the actual f-!" Michael began, stopping only when Allan quickly found something and insisted that they had to go to the library. Michael looked down at the note, frowning. She had foreseen something. The guards looked at each other confused, but quickly nodded as they led them to the library. When they arrived, there were some prisoners there already. The library was impressive, containing works of all kinds. Prisoners read books, some actually studying, while others did research on the computers. Michael hurried to the librarian. "Excuse us, where could we find The Merchant of Venice?" He asked. The librarian hummed. "In the Shakespeare section of one of the rotundas, on the second floor. You should see the sign." The librarian said. Michael and Allan didn't wait, hurrying over to the second floor. There were multiple, small rotunda bookshelves, each with different sections of important authors. They eventually found Shakespeare, whose section was right in the middle between two other authors. Michael hummed, looking for the Merchant of Venice among the many works. "Merchant of Venice..." Michael found it, dark colored cover with golden lettering. "Here." Michael said, picking up the book. However, as he tried to pick it up, he pulled on it and suddenly, there was a click of a trigger. Before Michael or Allan could react, the section of the bookcase and the floor beneath spun, flipping them into the inside of the wall as another version of the bookcase and floor replaced them. A hidden trap door. It shoved them right into a hidden area, the top of a flight of stairs in the darkness. Michael quickly clicked on the flashlight of his cellphone, staying close to Allan. "...this is some The Fall of the House of Asher shit."

  20. Michael looked over to Allan, nodding in agreement. "I've never encountered something like this before. It's...wild." Michael whispered back. As they entered the kitchen, Allan was quick to find something out of place. He followed Allan, watching him reach underneath the gap of the fridge only to pull out..a camera? "What the hell?" Michael asked. He looked back at the guards alongside with Allan, the guards looking at each other and then back at the detectives. "Those aren't even allowed outside personal quarters." One of the guards said. They were quick to lead them to Richard's office. It was located in one of the towers of the housing sector. The officers knocked on the door. "Director, the detectives wish to speak with you." One of them asked. "Let them in." Richard said. The officers opened the door, allowing the two in. The office was rather normal, though it contained one of the best views in the prison. On the very back, behind the desk and chair, was an arched window that reached from floor to ceiling, allowing view of the prison from a high point of view, a view of the farmlands and property of the prison, the forest and its mountains in the horizon. Richard sat on his desk, working on his computer before standing for the detectives. "Detectives. Have you found the culprit yet? My prisoners not giving you trouble, Othello? Us humans should stick together in these kind of things." Richard said. "We didn't find the culprit, but we believe to have found a witness." Michael explained a she gestured the camera in Allan's hands. Richard hummed, stepping forward. "A camera?" "Detective Othello found it hidden beneath the kitchen fridge." "I see. May I?" Richard asked, extending his hand for the camera. He took it, taking a look at it. "You're thinking that it might've recorded the murder." Richard asked. "Yes." "Very well. Let's see what we can get out of this, shall we?" Richard said, gesturing for them to come around the desk. Richard took a seat. He searched the camera, opening up the battery case to reveal its SD card. He removed it before inserting it into his computer, accessing the files. He opened up the folder, showing multiple recordings. He began to play the last entry. The video began, showing the victim, Harry as he settled the camera on the kitchen counter so it would record him as he washed the dishes. "Hey mom! Been a while since my last entry. Sorry about that, I've been pretty busy with the chores given to me. Just a few months before probation though, so I should be able to see you soon!" Harry spoke, casually washing the dishes given to him. For a few minutes in, everything seemed normal, just Harry talking about his rehabilitation classes and what he had experienced so far. At this point, he filled a large pot with water and set it down, allowing the water to soak in. Suddenly, he gasped, his body freezing in place as it shook. "W...What's going on?!" Harry asked. "I...I can't move!" Suddenly, without warning, Harry slammed his head into the water pot. Or as slammed into it, forced his head underwater by an unseen and unknown entity. Harry struggled to get away as the entity kept him under the water, leaving nail scratches against the surface as he flailed around. His erratic movements ended up smacking the camera off the counter top, before accidentally kicking it right underneath the fridge. All they could see were Harry's feet, listening to him struggle before it suddenly became silent, the body going limp. The rest of the video goes on until the camera runs out of battery. "How terrible." Michael gasped, struggling to even look at it. However, once it was done, Michael was quick to point something out. "Wait, could we possibly go back?" Michael asked. Richard glanced at him. "Please." Michael asked. Richard complied, allowing Michael to rewind. He stopped and replayed at a certain part, where Harry was struggling underneath the water when the camera was still on the counter top. He then stopped. "Look, right there." Michael asked, pointing at the screen. Over Harry's head they looked like...a pair of hands? They couldn't be. They were so faint, barely visible. "Is that a-?" Before Michael could go any longer, an alarm went off. "What is it this time?!" Richard asked, hissing as the officers opened the door. "Detectives! It's Ms. Rennolls! She's dead!" The officer screamed.

  23. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Henry & Aura- Helios listened to Henry, frowning. "I worry, Henry, that what will come now will be worse than just war." Helios admitted. But he agreed with Henry. Raiden did not seem to be the type to do this kind of trick. There were just rumors, as well. The only ones that knew the truth were Queen Shiva and Raiden, and one of them was dead. Helios perked his head up as he heard Aura approach them. "Aura. Good morning. At least, of what remains good." Helios said. "The rumors are varying but...it is confirmed that the queen is dead. Until Raiden shows up and says something, all we have is just that, rumors." Helios said, keeping his tone low. His hands fidgeted around the necklace of his friend, pursing his lips in thought. Only Raiden had answers, and who knows what would Kilkis Seres would do next after this turn of events. - Arthur - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Draksis - Arthur nodded at Draksis, feeling he had heard a similar tone from Henry. To follow ones path. "Well...I have decided that my path belongs in helping save our world from death. Maybe we can accomplish change. Maybe we will die along the way. But history can never say that we didn't try. There is so much time humanity has left to expand and grow. I don't want to leave this world without at least trying to make it right, you know?" Arthur smiled, chuckling. "You kind of remind me of dad-!" He began, but quickly stopped himself, instead clearing his throat as he looked around once more. "Well, not fully. But I still look up to you, sir. I'm honored to study and learn under you." - Arthur & Alex FLASHBACK - Sneak Mission -
