Jude followed Luna-Sol into the cabin, and bumped his head against the top of the door in the process. As he rubbed his forehead, he did a quick scan of the cabin. Dust, spider webs, dust, bunk beds, dust, green circular rug, and even more dust. What the luxury suite. He walked over to the set of bunk beds on the opposite side of the room, and tossed his bag up onto the top bunk. Dust flew into the air, causing Jude to cough. "I'm guessing that they're not going to provide us with cleaning supplies either," Jude grumbled. Then he flinched, unprepared for Luna-Sol's scream. He spun around to see a rat run out from the carpet to out the door. "Don't these places have to undergo health inspections? If so, I want to know how in the hell they passed, because this place isn't sanitary." He unzipped his bag, reached in, and dug out his lighter. He ran his thumb over the grinders, igniting a spark. Although he had nothing to light, it was a good distraction for his hands that would otherwise twitch at his sides, or in his jacket pockets. Jude wanted to close the cabin door, afraid that one of the counselors, or other campers, would come and invade his sanctum of solitude. However that'd just leave dust to collect and gather in the air, and that just wouldn't do. Instead, he sat down on the lower bunk, still playing with the lighter, generating a few sparks. "I don't think it's a feeling, I'm ninety-five percent sure it's a fact that this will be a long summer," Jude replied to Luna-Sol's comment, "Maybe we could just hibernate for the summer. After all, 'Bugs Bunny' said that we can manage our time however we wished."

Jude rolled his eyes at the rules the counselors had set for them. This camp was sounding more and more like a refinement program. Except maybe in the program he would've been allowed his phone. As he walked over to Meredith to hand over his phone, he thought that the electronics rule was a bit silly (moronic even). If he dies here and can't call for help, he's going to haunt the counselors for the rest of his life. He walked up to Meredith and handed his iPhone (he didn't have a need for any other device, as his phone already had his life on it) over with a smile that overlapped a sneer. "Camper Jude Walker reporting for this... 'super awesome camping experience'!" His voice went up a couple of pitches towards the end, and his smile was so wide (and so obviously fake) that his cheeks were screaming in pain. Meredith took his phone, and informed him that he'd be staying in the Green Cabin. Jude looked over in the cabin's direction. It was green. Obviously. Come on, they could've come up with a better name than Green Cabin. Why not the Forest Fortress? Alliteration is good for anything! Jude walked over towards the Green Cabin. He doubted Judy would be in the same cabin as him, as they were always separated when it came to groups throughout school, even when the teachers didn't know them. It was always a weird sixth sense for people to keep them apart. Nonetheless, Judy would come looking for him later. After all, they had to break in the cabins the only way they knew how. As he arrived at the Green Cabin, he saw Luna-Sol. Seeing that there were more female campers than male, it was no surprise that there was co-ed bunking. Jude looked down at her, then at the cabin, before saying, "If there are bunk beds, I call the top bunk."

"Yeah, my parents forced me to come here after finding my stash of --" Jude was cut off as one of the camp counselors had called them over to a platform. He was going to continue, but then the hippie girl had practically ordered them to follow. His eyebrows rose in surprise. Enemy number 1 targeted, he thought before looking at Luna-Sol. There was a flash of anger that didn't go unnoticed. As they walked over to the platform, Jude nudged Luna-Sol with his elbow. "Don't get bothered by her. If someone has to resort to name calling because of one little thing, then they don't deserve your anger; it just means that they win. Shrug it off and walk like you own the place. Works for me," he nodded his head over in Judy's direction, "works for her too." Jude saw a girl with green tips walking over, and he decided to take his leave. He gave Luna-Sol a curt wave before going over to stand next to Judy. "It's about time someone took some authority around here, I was getting bored," Jude leaned over and mumbled to Judy.

"Just try not to scream like that again unless you really are in trouble, I was already going deaf as it is from how quiet this place is," Jude replied as he shook the smaller girl's hand, "I'm Jude Walker." He folded his arms across his chest and looked down at Luna-Sol, who could easily be a foot and a half shorter than him. Shorter than Judy, he thought, a feat all on its own. Jude looked around for the camp counselors. Just how long did they expect us to stand around? Honestly he just wants to see which bunk he's assigned to so he can waste his days away sleeping. The thought of hiking home crossed his mind once again. He mentally slapped himself and brushed his bangs out of his face. No matter how boring it was now, he had to get through it. His parents wouldn't hold him in high regards if he backed out now. Plus Judy has Mary Jane to party with. He needs to party with Mary Jane, it's been too long. "So did you actually come here on your free will? Or were you forced to spend your summer here?" Jude asked as he turned his attention back to Luna-Sol. "Judging by most of the people here, I'm assuming this place wasn't on the top of our summer 'To Do' list. It sure as hell wasn't on mine."

The How Was Your Day Thread
It was windy as firetruck as I drove up to my college. In the process I almost ran over a bunch of little kids and almost got into a few collisions due to the wind pushing my car in unwanted directions. By the time I got on campus I found out all of the buildings had lost power, so I had to stand around in the wind and rain for about half an hour before we were informed that the day classes had been cancelled. So I took yet another drive in the wind home and did nothing for the rest of the day. Basically it was a 'meh' day. I was actually really looking forward to my sociology class

Jude jumped when he heard the scream. He looked around for the source of the noise, eyes wide like a deer in headlights. Then within a few seconds his face deflated. It was just one of the campers freaking out. About a spider of all things. Yeesh, I thought we got over the fear of spiders when we were thirteen, Jude thought as he stood up. "Gimme a minute," he said to the boy that Judy brought over (who she apparently ditched for a couple of other girls over yonder). He walked over to the girl, regretting each second of it. It took a bit before he could actually catch her. In all honesty he wasn't trying too hard; he didn't really want to help her, he just wanted her to shut up. "Hold still for just a freaking minute," Jude yelled at the girl over her screams as he grabbed her shoulders. Ugh, human contact make it stop, he thought as he picked the spider out of her hair. He walked over to some of the trees, and let the spider go. Walking back he tried to talk some sense into the camper. "Look, we're at a camp, if there were any dangerous, or poisonous, animals, I'm sure there'd be some sort of warning. However judging by the experience so far, we might as well be lathered in barbecue sauce and fed to starving wolves," Jude sighed out of aggravation, he was trying his best to comfort the poor girl, but really it was all coming out as if she burdened him because of her outburst "But really if you're going to run around and yell because of a spider of all things (which this place is most likely filled with, it's a firetrucking forest), then you need to try and understand that they won't do much harm."- Ivan's status update

"What makes you think I'd sacrifice myself? For all you know, I could turn on everyone in this camp early on and make an alliance with the killer. Or I could be the killer. We may be 'bffsies5ever' but there's no way I'm sacrificing my life for anyone. I've still got a lot of people to prove I'm better than," Jude commented and fixed the black rimmed glasses that slid down his nose. He looked up at Judy, who was calling the kid who had climbed up onto the cabins over. Seriously, who even wastes their time climbing? Too much effort to get a good view, in his opinion. Then again with his height he always had a good view, although he did hit his head a lot. Then surprisingly the kid decided to climb down and make his way over to them. Jude did a once over on the guy; about their age, and just a few inches shorter than him if he read people right. He stood up and nodded in response to the guy's greeting. "We're talking about theories about this place really being just some part of a big cliche horror movie type deal. I mean this place is a dump, the staff is horrible at running the place, and honestly there aren't that many kids here. Aren't these places usually just bustling with teens who are in the middle of that awkward stage of self-exploration?" Jude counted the kids that had arrived so far; hippie girl; quiet girl with the guitar; quiet girl; quiet girl #2 that was pale as shit (that black clothing did not help either, Jude's inner Judy commented); techno-colored girl; Tarzan; Judy; and himself. Oh wait, here comes someone, Jude thought as a guy who reminded him too much of the in-crowd at school arrived at the camp. A variety of people, mostly. I swear though, if this turns into something right out of the The Breakfast Club, I'm going to go drown myself in the lake, Jude thought before he turned his attention back to Judy and Mr. Tarzan. "Although, if there is a killer here, I would be disappointed if they made a bloody mess out of it. Too noticeable, we'd be able to hear a gun shot easily, or even just someone screaming. If I were the killer in the whole grand scheme of things, I'd just poison the food and kill everyone in the camp." Jude added the last part a bit quieter, remembering how the counselors were nearby, and how authority figures get butthurt easily when it comes to the topic of someone saying they'd kill another person (even if it was a joke).- row row row your boat
