  1. Everyone is complaining about too many keyblade wielders. This doesn't bother me, but a way Nomura could reduce the number of keyblade wielders is by coming up with some crazy idea that all the keyblades of the 13 Darknesses and 7 Lights have to literally fuse together for form the X-blade. This would turn all the keybladers into normal people again, except Sora. Sora would still have all the connections with everyone and would be the only person who could legitimately wield one. The final battle would be between Master Xehanort, wielding the X-blade, and Sora, with the one true Keyblade. Further games could then focus on Riku/ other ex-keyblade wielders trying to figure out how to get their keyblades back... but, realistically, Riku, Sora and Mickey would still be keyblade wielders at the end because they were the original three. Or, the story could involve Aqua/Terra/Ventus going crazy and realising that using keyblades is dangerous to the universe, and they are unqualified since they were the three which allowed Master Xehanort's plan to unfold, so they decide to put their keyblades away. Or dying... Everyone else share your convoluted ideas that could help regain some consistency in the plot ... or something. (I just feel like sharing.)
  2. I care more about characters than weapons. And we've known since KH2 that the keyblade isn't special (as shown by the keyblade graveyard and the three armoured people)... so its not a surprise, really
  3. ERMAHGERD! I KNERW I WERS RERGHT! ERM SER ERXCERTERD FER THERS!
  4. Seems about as reasonable as releasing 5 games... And, of course, if they did this, then they would release a KH 1 and 2 collection afterwards, then a BBS/COM collection, then a collection with all four. I still think remastering 3D makes sense: its story is probably the most important out of all of the handheld titles, and if the series continues for another ten years then this title will be infinitely more important than Re:CoM... Whatever though
  5. Hmm? okay? you obviously know everything about me. I will forever bow down to your god-like abilities. I know it isn't practical to suggest a five game collection but it isn't impossible as people suggest. BBS and 3D are close to the graphics of 1 and 2 and would not require full remakes like Days and Re:coded. The only reason it wouldn't and couldn't be made is that Square wouldn't make enough profit, and I admit that I didn't think in terms of profitability when I wrote this. They did. Except Dolan was a dick about it. A 13-year old dick. I feel shit having my ass handed to me by a 13 year old but oh-well you learn new stuff everyday...
  6. In the World that Never Was XigbarNort shoots the ground, summoning 12 hooded figures (presumably the 12 darknesses that have been created already). But... XigbarNort is unhooded and watches all of this. So that makes 13 Darknesses. But Master Xehanort says that he's only created 12 vessels. So is that all a hallucination/dream or does Nomura have problems counting to 13? Or is one of the hooded figures a time travelling vessel from the future? I know I'm looking too much into this but if that scene literally had every hooded person as a darkness then something is wrong. So, is the scene only symbolic? Someone explain...
  7. You were the first to mention story I agree with you, but Nomura did say he wanted to do something to address all the games being across different systems and a series of HD collections is what would best address this. He would want to make them high quality... so putting out all 5 games in two years is asking a bit too much.
  8. This would have to be a remake, not a remaster. And, no, I would not like this. It was a fun game on the DS but the whole mission based structure was tedious and to make it into a good game for any other console would require too much work.
  9. Damn you Hatok and your logic... I still think they will re-release these five games but two parts would make more sense: its what GoW did before releasing the whole 5-game thing. So maybe Nomura will release KH 1, 2 and Re:CoM in early 2013 (with another unannounced title at the end of 2013), then BBS and 3D early 2014 as remasters.... then Kh3 at the end of 2014 It doesn't make sense to put all of them into one package, I agree, but it isn't impossible. I never actually believed they would do this. I was merely thinking about how SE could possibly pull it off... As to you saying KH games have better graphics... I am confused. Please elaborate. As to having more cutscenes thats irrelevant: cutscenes are not redone in remasters (at least not the ps2 GoW games: only in-game assets are turned into HD, cutscenes are merely rescoped to fit widescreen views). BBS would require alot of work but the other 4 wouldn't need all cutscenes to be remade. Of course it depends on the quality of the remaster.... I would like High-quality remasters but with a game like KH it wouldn't be necessary... its more about story, gameplay etc whereas with GoW its spectacle.
  10. God of War is a shorter game, but has better graphics and is more complex in some ways. My prediction is a late 2013 release of the KH collection. I'm not sure about other countries but, for NZ, BBS was impossible to find in any retailers (new) a year after release. Every KH game gets a final mix, so whats so bizarre about 3D being part of a collection a year and a half after its release? All 5 games would be insane value for money, I agree, but the God of War collection shows it isn't impossible as some people suggest. And one of the games in the God of War collection is a ps3 title whereas all of the KH's are last-gen. It would take quite alot of effort to release, but the BBS/3D team could do the remastering, while the KH team works on 3.
  11. As some people may know, a new God of War collection has 5 games (GOW 1, 2, 3, CoO and GoS). While all these games have already been remastered it still shows that an HD collection with 5 games is possible. Following on from this logic I will put forward that these 5 games will be part of the KH HD collection: -KH: Birth By Sleep -KH 1 -KH Re:Chain of Memories -KH 2 -KH: Dream Drop Distance None of these games will require huge upgrades as shown by the two GoW psp games (that are part of the new collection) and the two ps2 games. The only difficult part would be changing the interface for Dream Drop Distance to accommodate traditional controllers. So... I am excited to play 1, 2, ReCOM, BBS and 3D on my PS3 The only hard part would be getting the rights to 3D as Nintendo may own the rights to that game... but if Square puts this collection on the Wii U with exclusive content (for 3D, say) then Nintendo would probably let SE do this (as all the hardcore KH fans will buy a Wii U just for an extra boss fight ). The Wii U KH3D would obviously be superior anyway (using the controller's touch screen for dropping etc) and Square could put touch screen functionality in all the Wii U titles, just to sweeten the deal for Nintendo. These 5 games are the only ones with important (and necessary) stories so in order to make a proper KH collection these games would need to be included.
  12. I agree. Nomura designed Sora to be an average, normal boy and being a keyblade Master would deviate from this abit..... But then again in KHII he was labelled a true hero by Phil so anything is possible
  13. Everything apart from Shotlocks. Having flowmotion and shotlocks would result in too much going on especially if Drives return as well. Remember, there are only so many buttons on a controller
  14. Wakka, Selphie and Tidus. Self explanatory
  15. In KH 3D, the Memento System allows you to read summaries of past KH games. In the future, as the plot becomes even more complex, this system will grow in necessity. As most people will know, in KH3 Ansem, Xemnas, Master Xehanort and others will return. I think a cool idea would be if the new Memento system includes boss battles/significant events from past games, with cutscenes. This wouldn't take much effort as the character animations would already be produced from the main storyline and the only added costs would involve reproducing cutscenes. Of course, only some of the bosses attacks would be used (the ones which were used in previous games) as having the full set of moves would destroy the excitement of fighting new bosses. If all 7 Lights are controllable (which I doubt but it might happen) then even the battles from BBS could be reproduced as Aqua/Ventus/Terra would be characters you could control. Each character would have different pre-sets and you could play the previous games boss battles on different difficulties (changing abilities to make it easier or harder). Another technique that could be used to convey the plot of previous games includes interactive cutscenes such as Sora Exploring Destiny Islands while its being destroyed or running through Castle Oblivion (like in the introduction to KHII). Pages of text are necessary for understanding everything, but using a combination of action sequences involving bosses and main characters, cutscenesfrom previous games, and short interactive summaries of previous games using the in-game engine (not pre-rendered) could help make it easier to understand the series while not making it a chore.
  16. Yeah, of course I haven't played BBS so I always forget that world The Nightmare before Christmas would be one of the only excessively used words that could be reused, simply because Christmas town has only been in 2 (and its one of my favourite Disney worlds). Another Tim Burton film that would be cool is The Corpse Bride but Disney doesn't own the rights to that so oh-well... They could possibly do an Alice in Wonderland world based off the 2010 film. They could do a Pirates of the Caribbean film based off the latest one (only because the plot is too convoluted in the two sequels ) and it wouldn't be terrible. Another Fantasia world is possible just because they said they were going to do one based off Fantasia 2000. I think they will re-use all the handheld exclusive worlds (such as from BBS and 3D) just because they haven't been used more than once and some people haven't played all the titles... (including me)
  17. I think that the next arc will involve Light being the enemy (in a partial way at least). It would be pretty ironic if Xehanort (who wanted to make light and darkness be in balance) was right all along, and that without a constant dark threat the worlds are destined to be destroyed... I have a feeling that KH will end with the Light and Dark realms fusing together to create... THE REAL WORLD! Besides, another plot could involve people fighting over the Light again.... people surrounded by so much light (and since "The closer you get to the light the greater your shadow becomes" this is quite likely) that they go insane. The next enemies could be something like angels- creatures who have too much light in them, and try to maintain order so much that they destroy EVERYTHING!
  18. Hahaha true..... The original worlds are guaranteed essentially but Disney worlds that have been used 4 or more times should be retired permanently unless they can do something that is fresh within the canon of the source material (like Monstro in 3D). Castle Oblivion and RoD are the two that are most certain, followed by Radiant Garden and TWTNW...
  19. People speculated that since King Triton implied knowing about the keyblade and meeting past keyblade wielders that it would be a guaranteed world. Just like people are saying 'OMG all the princesses worlds are returning' when it is fairly obvious than some worlds will not reappear, specifically Aladdin (just because it has been in 80% of the games so far......... and Nomura said he would like to not repeat worlds as heavily as he has in the past...)
  20. Not happening.... this year. Nomura has confirmed that there won't be an HD collection for the 10th year anniversary.... but that doesn't mean he won't release it next year. Besides Nomura never announces these things before the current game has released just so he doesn't hurt sales
  21. Master Xehanort says the lights will be chosen naturally... this means that NO-ONE is guaranteed to be a light. Sora, Riku, Mickey. None of them are 100% Light's. Let me illustrate: If someone told you that you were going to save the world from a terrorist plot, then the next day you get hit by a bus and die, there is little chance of you being able to fulfill this. Shit happens in real life quite abit... and as we all know shit happens in KH even more frequently. Sora, our light hearted hero, gets his darkness exploited by MX and fails to become a keyblade master even though he is "the chosen one". So to all you Terra fanboys who say he is definitely a Light... have fun with that, but know that nothing is confirmed until KH3 and, given Nomura's history, the 7 Lights will end up being not who we expect.
