  1. Yes, you're right pre-BBS, but BBS came out after KH1 so at least for me when I see in the first game that being a keyblade bearer is special. Then fast forward a few games and everyone has one its like well the main weapon isn't special anymore. I do not know of any game series where the main character gets a special weapon in the first game and midway through the series most of the characters that are important to the story have it.
  2. I am so confused on what happened. So, Ansem SoD travels back in time since he has no physical form and goes back to visit his somebody's younger self. For the purpose of giving YMX the ability to time travel to collect all the norts so they can form org. Norteen. Is that correct? They try to use Sora as another vessel, but Riku and Lea save him. Can YMX still time travel and is MX formed back from Ansem SoD and Xemnas being defeated or is he taken from the past? Which would mean terranort is still in existence..btw I think why people (including myself) are getting ticked off about Lea and Kairi having a keybalde is because in KH1 they made it out to seem like the having a keyblade was such an important thing, but now its really like well there are a lot of keyblader bearers, but only a few masters.
  3. Another thing is Nomura said the Mark of Mastery Exam is only part of the game so if that is true then an ending where Sora fails and Riku passes cannot be the ending. Also, the idea of Sora falling into darkness is very probable, but if it were the ending that would be really anti-climatic and very predictable. Do you think Nomura's big surprise is the Lea can use a keyblade now? Honestly that is so predictable due to Nomura's love of Lea/Axel, but then again giving him a keyblade in itself is also diluting the uniqueness of Lea which Nomura wouldn't do. Either it would surprise me if this "ending" holds up for the previously mentioned reasons.
  4. I can't trust any ending this there is visual evidence. But if YMX was just MX's cover then how in the The World that Never Was, was MX and YMX both sitting on Org. chairs?
  5. Is it confirmed to be YMX or is that just what we are calling him at the moment?
  6. The issue with KH1 is the camera and the fact you can't skip cutscenes. However, KH2 has its flaws. To me at least the games are equal and I cannot say which is better because I liked KH1, but played KH2 and KH2 final mix and accomplished more in KH2 because I could play the final mix.
  7. Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, etc. are all forms of it. Its a system in which any good or service is exchanged for money.
  8. As brought up in the Zeitgeist documentaries and presented alternative economy with The Venus Project. We see evidence all around us that our economy is soon going to collapse or at least lead to an increase in the already huge number of people living with nothing. Fractional Reserve Banking has led to a ponzi scheme that takes from one to give to the other and led to debt for many. My belief is that living on a system that is based off of inefficiency and scarcity is a terrible thing. We have the ability right now to live in a society that is emphasizes growth, efficiency, and abundance. I do not agree with all of the Zeitgeist ideas, but I do think brings up a valuable conversation...I know the first documentary is 5 years old, however with a candidate like Ron Paul who speaks about the same issues as Peter Jospeh does when it comes to the Federal Reserve System and fractional banking it is something that is prevalent in our society. We cannot keep going on like this an expect our system not to collapse. The housing bubble burst and soon student loans will crush our banks yet again. There is no end to this when we prioritize a society to be dependent on debt. This all may seem confusing, but if you check out the zeitgeist documentaries what I am saying becomes more clear. Regardless of political or religious beliefs our monetary system is crumbling and we need to change it for the better of humans and all of earth.
  9. Do people think military intervention changes anything? There are many people who support military intervention on this issue when asked the same about the wars that the U.S are currently in would say we were wrong to go there. Even though the basis of intervening with troops was to protect the citizens of those countries. I have three issues with this movement. I'll break them down...Let me also say I DO NOT support a warlord doing this to children anywhere! 1. There is no real plan to make sure that the kids in central Africa would be protected from this happening from either some other warlord or their own governments. So, going all activist and superhero like wanting to save everyone is not the way to go when there is no actual strategy in place. Also, military force does not change the mindset of a country. Any real change has happened because of the people changing their ideals and what they believe is right. Yes, wars have been the result of this, but they are not the root of change. 2. Invisible Children is not a respectable organization and therefore should not be trusted with this issue. They are selling a product as much as they are selling the cause. If they are asking for military intervention or at least awareness they should be giving away their posters, shirts, and wristbands. A true charity would not ask for $30 for you to have a few posters and a wristband. They would love to give it away or sell it at a very low price. The fact that reports have shown them only using a minority percentage of funds towards actual charity is sickening. 3. The video is horrible. It is flashy and filled with outdated facts as a Ugandan blogger stated in her response video to the movement. The video manipulates by using the founder's child. A real documentary does not try and manipulate, but show the facts. I find something very wrong with the lack of fact checking behind this and quick bandwagon effect of many people (mainly young kids...btw I'm 19). If we do not check up on the facts or think before we act we will end up making mistakes which may result in something worse than Kony. Social Media is a great tool, but don't only take the word of a flashy video, research the topic. The plain fact is Ugandans do not want U.S help. They can do it on their own. The video makes it out to be that only the "white man" can save Africa. I'm sure Ugandans are working on the problem. If it was an easy solution to this they would have already done it. Taking Kony down won't make the lives of Ugandan children any better in the long run. You have to let a country's own people figure out their solutions. We in America our ignoring our own problems of poverty, discrimination, and failing monetary system. We need to focus on our own problems before we act all superior and tell people how things should be done. Nobody likes a stranger going into their homes and telling them how to do things.
  10. I'm in college for screenwriting, but wrote a play earlier this year. Here is a scene from it that I hope everyone enjoys: SCENE (There is a doorway in the center of the stage. Behind the doorway there is a piano and a piano bench. There are a few desks surrounding the piano. HAYLEY is playing the piano and singing “The Faithful Hussar”.) HAYLEY (Singing in German) Once there was a faithful hussar/Who loved his maiden for a whole year.(TYLER walks by. He stops dead in his tracks. He turns to the doorway and peeks his head through.) HAYLEY (Singing in German) A whole year and even more/His love won’t ever cease/And when he received the message TYLER (Simultaneously to audience) Isn’t she wonderful? She’s so talented. You can just tell she’s down to earth. I should talk to her? No, I couldn’t. I’m a pussy? Do you know what could go wrong? Alright, we’ll see about that. (TYLER walks through the doorway. He goes up to HAYLEY. She turns around.) HAYLEY Can I help you? TYLER I…um…(turns to audience) See! (TYLER snaps his fingers, the lights go out. The lights come back on. TYLER is peeking his head through the doorway. HAYLEY is singing and playing the piano.) TYLER ( To audience) You can’t just go up to a girl these days. People are too used to texting and Facebook. They don’t want direct contact they want control, they want things to come to them without having the pressure of that spilt second decision. Don’t believe me? (TYLER walks in the doorway and up to HAYLEY, he taps her on the shoulder.) TYLER Hey. I couldn’t help over hearing you playing the piano and singing. It was really good. HAYLEY Thanks, I’ve played since I can remember. TYLER Why were you singing that song though? HAYLEY My mom always used to sing this to my father. We used to go into our living room one night a week and my family would each play a song. TYLER It’s in one of my favorite movies. Paths of— (HAYLEY’s checks her phone. She gets up.) HAYLEY I’m sorry I gotta go.(HAYLEY walks out of the doorway and off stage.) TYLER (To Audience) See. You people are too stubborn. She didn’t feel comfortable you could tell. Here let me show you. (TYLER snaps fingers. The lights go out. The lights come back on. TYLER is standing in front of HAYLEY who is sitting on the piano bench. There’s a heavy set MAN in his 50s with white hair is dressed in a suit is in front of them with a microphone.) MAN (To Audience) Welcome t-to the analyzation of college students with social anxiety and folks this looks to b-be a good one. A self-conscious dreamer looks to hit on a girl he probably fell in love with before h-h-he even said a word to her. Boom, tough actin’ tanactin. HAYLEY Can I help you? MAN (To Audience) This d-d-do-does not look good. Can’t you just sense the pretentiousness in her voice? I sure can. TYLER Hey. I couldn’t help over hearing you playing the piano and singing. It was really good. (HAYLEY stares blankly.) MAN Let’s ta-tak-take a look at this sentence. He rather just jus-just say, ‘Hey. I was staring at you while you were playing piano. I have a boner.’ She knows it. Look at that disinterest. (MAN takes out highlighter and starts putting dots on HAYLEY.) MAN Disinterest here, here, and here. HAYLEY Thanks, I’ve played since I can remember. TYLER Why were you playing that song though? (MAN pulls out a whistle and blows it.) MAN Bring me the board! (Two men come from off stage and wheel in a chalkboard.) MAN (Drawing X’s and O’s) Wha-wha-what does this have to do with TYLER? Nothing! Boom! All I know is Brett Farve would be great at this. Don’t you all just love Brett? (MAN erases X’s and O’s) MAN (Drawing ‘NEVER’) Never, never do what he did there. He asked her a question that made her feel that it was weird what sh-sh-she-she was doing. D-Does this guy know how to do anything right? (Two men come back on stage and take chalkboard away.) MAN Let’s go on. Turducken. HAYLEY My mom always used to sing this to my father. We used to go into our living room one night a week and my family would each play a song. TYLER It’s in one of my favorite movies. Paths of— (HAYLEY’s checks her phone. She gets up. TYLER turns to the MAN.) TYLER Thanks for proving me right. MAN Wh-what do you mean? TYLER You just analyzed the conversation and proved why I shouldn’t have. MAN No, I didn’t. TYLER You called me an idiot and said to everyone to never say what I said. MAN Kid, if you’re gonna let one harmless interaction consume you, how will you get through life? See you gotta be more like Brett— TYLER And text her a picture of my junk? MAN No. You g-got- gotta have courage and confidence. There are hundreds of religions that say we go here or there when we die, but we don’t really know what happens. W-We just know we have one shot at life at least. To cut yourself short by not taking a leap of faith sometimes is just firetrucked up to be perfectly honest. There are 7 billion people on this planet and we run into .0001 % of them. Call it fate, destiny, or whatever, she can be in your life and you have the chance make that permanent. (MAN walks off stage.) TYLER (To Audience) Wow, well…he’s right. But, just… (TYLER snaps his fingers. Lights go out. Lights come back on. TYLER is back in front of Hayley who is again sitting on the piano bench.) TYLER Hey. I overheard music coming from here, and couldn’t help, but come in. It was terrific. HAYLEY Thanks. I’ve been playing since I can remember. TYLER That’s so cool. That song you’re playing is German right? HAYLEY Yeah. It’s called ‘The Faithful Hussar’. TYLER I’ve always liked it, but never knew what it was about. HAYLEY I remember my mom would always sing this to my dad. A few times a month my mom, dad, brother, and I would go into the living room and play songs for each other. I asked my mom one time what it was about and she just said ‘True love’. (TYLER smiles and HAYLEY cracks a smile as well.) HAYLEY Do you play? TYLER Yeah, I play a little. HAYLEY Show me. (HAYLEY slides over and taps on the bench. Tyler sits down on the bench. He starts playing “Heart and Soul”. Hayley soon joins in. Tyler stops after a moment.) TYLER I know this may be too soon-- HAYLEY Wait, don’t talk. Just take in the music. (Tyler continues to play. They finish the song) TYLER How about now? HAYLEY Yeah, go ahead. TYLER I know this probably sounds too direct, but would you wanna go get coffee sometime? HAYLEY Hmmm, sure, how about now? TYLER Yeah…that sounds good. (TYLER and HAYLEY both exit through the doorway. They turn right and walk off stage. Lights go out. Lights come back on. TYLER is on stage in front of the door way. Hayley is playing the piano.) TYLER (To Audience) If only things ended that way it would be perfect. Well, I mean the first way wasn’t too bad either. It’s just if I had to choose between each ‘what if’ the second one I would choose. Huh? Wait, you guys…I thought this was clear that I didn’t…so you guys think that I got a second chance? Oh, no, no, no. I haven’t even taken my first chance yet. But you know what? I am, I will.(TYLER turns to walk through the doorway. HAYLEY gets up and walks out.) TYLER Hel— HAYLEY Excuse me. (TYLER moves out of the way for HAYLEY to exit. HAYLEY exits through the doorway and walks off stage right.) TYLER See. This is why you don’t try because you can have all the confidence in the world and one little setback ruins it. (TYLER walks up to the piano bench and sits down. He begins to play “The Faithful Hussar”. A BOY comes out with cue cards with the lyrics in English.) TYLER (Singing in German) Once there was a faithful hussar/Who loved his maiden for a whole year/a whole year and even more/His love wont ever cease/And when he received the message/That his sweetheart dear was dying/All his goods and chattels he left behind/And hastened to his sweetheart dear. Lights out END of SCENE
  11. The United States had to go through this period eventually. When you have an economy that only boomed because of the fact that after WWII we were the only country that was stable and not destroyed by war, we created. Then in the 60s when countries were catching up we invented new tech and push boundaries. What happened to our economy was that with trickle down economics that was implemented in 80s we saw a growth in our nation's total wealth and an increase in the wages of the bottom 90% however it created a bigger gap. This bigger gap created an unequal power shift to the 1% which led to them having a huge impact on laws written. When a small group of people can have a huge impact on a country they get what they want. Therefore they got laws that kept them in power and halted innovation. This leads to the government having to subsidize and cover costs of those businesses' failing or fading industries. Which leads to a country having to borrow from others. Also, remember that American jobs are going over seas and American companies are losing their edge because after a while other countries will catch up eventually and they have. The key is to innovate and renew old ideas. Then when you have a booming economy taxing more on the rich becomes less of an issue because it helps the govt and the businesses that the rich own.
  12. It's funny America could easily erase this debt if we (I'm American) closed tax loopholes and raised taxes in conjunction with cutting back our defense spending as well.
  13. @hatok In regards to your response to my post; complex means composed of many interconnected parts. Straightforward would not equate in that definition. People can give up on a hard to understand storyline, you're 100% right, but why make things too straightforward so every doesn't have to think? To your comment in regards to the FPS v. ARPG storylines, my point is still valid they are still games and the point being in a market dominated by games that are very straightforward there is an appeal and want for games that have twists. Nomura doesn't work on gameplay, but he is the game director and leads the team. Saying Nomura is just like saying the whole KH team, he definitely tells the team his ideas and what he thinks would be good style. But your point didn't address the argument that it allows different gameplays to be experimented with. We have seen games go multiplatform and take longer to develop and be worse than if it stayed exclusive. FFxii argument is valid because it and KH are published by the same company and team members have worked on both titles. It's simple logic if you only need to focus on one console its less work and you can give yourself more time to focus on the gameplay/story instead of converting it to another system. The valid points that aren't that valid that I claimed the article made, but didn't provide specifics are the ones I addressed. It's okay to disagree with people, but don't try to comment and insult people. There's a way to have a discussion without trying to act as if you have a superior intellect. @Nikolasvanitas I appreciate your comments, but being a broke college student myself who does not come from a wealthy family my point being is that regardless of money I rather not be able to play a game and it be good then be able to play it and it suck. I have never played BBS, 358/2 Days, or Re:Coded...and I won't be able to play KH:3D. But I watch the cutscenes and am fine with it because as long as the games are good I have no issue with them trying out different handhelds for the non-numbered games.
  14. It all depends on the girl you are dealing with. Most girls like a guy who is confident in themselves because it means they are going after the girl and the girl then has a good idea that the guy is interested in them. My advice to you is to be forward with the girl, sometimes it will result in the girl saying no and sometimes yes. It's just about how well you can talk to the girl, remember when asking her out think about if it would be weird for them to hang with you alone. Don't ask them out right away. Most girls pre mid 20s are not used to that and can feel awkward easily by being asked out within the first conversation or two you have with them
  15. I think introverts and extroverts aren't really good labels because you can be an extrovert who convinces him or herself that they are introverted because of various reasons. I know from my experiences I used to improperly label myself as an introvert because I was shy at times, but that is just how willing you are to talk to new people. Yes that is a measuring factor into judging whether you are an introvert or extrovert, but I believe you can put yourself into a self-fulfilling prophecy of being an introvert when you can be extroverted. Not that there is anything wrong with being an introvert.
  16. I'm kinda confused on how Sora becomes a heartless and then turns back to human again. I know he finds the light because of Kairi, but my question is if Roxas was born then and he is Sora's body/soul then how can Sora regain his body without Roxas rejoining him?
  17. I just read the article and understand the points the article is trying to make, but I have a problem with the fact of a "complex" story being a bad thing. The fact is that we have too many boring and straight forward storylines. Look at most shooters these days, they are very straight forward or we have other games that have twists, but they are too easy to see. Metal Gear Solid is a great example of a story that is so complicated it really is difficult to comprehend, but that difficult to comprehend story makes you actually care about what goes on in the games. The issue of disney worlds is understandable, but at the same time the game has to become more than its appeal from Disney which it has. I think as the series goes further we will get different worlds, but this saga has yet to end so it doesn't make sense to add 10 new worlds that will never appear again. The side game issue is awesome because guess what it gives Nomura a chance to experiment with gameplays and takes less time to develop. The side games add further background to the story of KH and I think they are welcome. This multi console crap is just another cry from people without PS consoles or Nintendo handhelds to complain about. It has no sound logic because FFXiii could have been so much more than what it was if it was exclusive to PS3 as it was originally intended to be. Overall, this article is just trying to make points that aren't really that valid.
  18. The Unknown or as being referred to as YMX cannot control time. Well not in the way he travels back in time, this would make no sense for the Kh storyline and leave too many holes. My theory is that he can manipulate time by manipulating memories, thus why Xemnas and Ansem SoD are appearing, and also Vanitas as well. The beings we see that resemble Xemnas, Ansem SoD and Vanitas are just nothing more than beings crafted from encounters with Sora, Riku, and Ven. I doubt this theory will hold up once the game is out. I just rewatched CoM cutscenes and I believe Nomura is going the same route as he did with Riku and Ansem SoD in that.
  19. Roxas' feelings are basically the same as Sora's feelings towards Kairi. Whether its love or not Xion is/was very important to Roxas. Roxas can FEEL and this has been proven by the fact he can cry which proves he has a heart. He is special nobody in the fact he is basically with the body of Sora and the heart of Ven.
  20. Ienzo and Even were never killed, nobody in KH is murdered. I think the theory loses steam there, but Ienzo and Even were very loyal to Ansem the Wise until Xehanort corrupts them and convinces them to sway Ansem the Wise into doing the experiments. Xehanort had very little knowledge of heartless or nobodies. If you read Ansem Report 13 which is found in KH1 final mix, you know that Ansem SoD (Xehanort's heartless) discovers there must be nobodies. He had no idea what happened to a heart if it fell into the darkness. So after he (Xehanort) turned into a heartless he questioned if the body and soul formed together to make another being as well. He called them "non-existent" ones. Remember MX had no idea about the heartless or very little about what would happen if he became a heartless because of the fact he was able to control his darkness (which explains the Guardian). So, not until he took over Terra who had trouble controlling the darkness was he truly able to capitalize on his heartless experiment which was really about extracting darkness to form the X-Blade.
  21. When did Nomura hint at Riku harboring Terra's heart? And I like the theory but wouldn't that create two sets of heartless and Nobodies? So if YMX is in fact a nobody why is he in the RoS if he was never defeated? I think the theory makes sense but is kinda confusing.
  22. I'm not saying that they met each other, but that maybe Ansem SoD had knowledge that Xemnas existed. I find it hard to believe that neither of them knew the other existed when AX/Terranort had a lot of knowledge from his research and from MX. And of course the reason they wouldn't want to meet would probably be the risk of them forming back into one being which would end both of their existences.
  23. Well from the KH FM battle with Xemnas we do know that he knows of Sora so he must know who Sora was fighting. So I assume Xemnas had to know of Ansem SoD, but maybe I'm reaching here but I think Ansem SoD must have known of Xemnas. I mean he does seem very wise on most matters as Xemnas was. Maybe Ansem SoD didn't know of Xemnas though. I think that question will be answered in KH3D b/c they are together so we will probably learn more about what Xemnas and Ansem SoD did in their time alive.
  24. What was Xemnas doing during the time of KH1 and before? I know Org. Xiii were looking for new members and I guess castle oblivion as well? But like what was Xemnas' plan while Ansem SoD was trying to fulfill his? Did he just figure the more heartless Sora defeats the better? Was he solely looking for Ven and Aqua?
  25. I think they wanted to change it up and put a different world in there. Of course it would be a dark world because that's the feel that Port Royal was in the movies. For the dull part of it , I mean lots of worlds were dull after you beat them. There isn't much to do, so it's gonna be boring. Neverland was not lost to the heartless, they just wanted to use Peter Pan so they used him as a summon charm instead of putting his character into the story.
