  5. Welcome welcome to the 2013 Game Of The Year thread where we will list down our favourite games of 2013! It's been another awesome year of video games! Before we begin, I would like to say that please list the games that was released THIS year. You can follow my list as an example. So let's get to it! Looking forward to everyone else's favourite games! -------------------------------------------------- 10. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PC) - This game started off pretty grim as you play Two brothers. The gameplay is quite intuitive as you use your analog sticks to control two of the brothers at the same time. The story is mysterious for such a simple plot due to the mystery of the world around you. As a little brother in the family myself, this game hits me pretty hard and it's a great few solid hours of your playtime. 9. The Stanley Parable (PC) - The Stanley Parable. A game where it mocks about video games in general to it's limit. It's usually for players who likes to see fault in video games that they've played and this just take the cake for players who wants to enjoy trying to manipulate the world and gameplay around them and gets mocked or go along with the flow with the narrator. 8. Gone Home (PC) - I like story-based games, and this game just brings new life the way video games tell their story. You play as the older sister in the family who had flew back from overseas to catch up with her family, but when she came back, the house was empty and she had to find out why the house was missing. The house was pretty much a huge playground and looking through stuffs has never been fufilling. 7. The Last Of Us (PS3) - One of the most heartbreaking and emotional video game this year. It started off with a bang and ended with a whisper. It's also the most beautiful game of the last-gen console I've ever played. To be honest, the gameplay was fine but it's not as great as Uncharted but I will give credit to Naughty Dog for trying out new things and the way the story was delivered was just brilliant all the way through. 6. Bioshock Infinite (PC) - This game was not in my radar until Irrational games announced the release date, and I'm glad I kept myself from viewing spoilers in the game. I went in fresh, enjoyed the gameplay, and loving how the character progress each sequence in the story. The world is just the most amazing thing I've ever seen in a video game. Floating cities? Well count me in! I can understand certain players doesn't like the gameplay aspect of it but I quite like it because it's accessible and you were to control the player with ease without worrying too much about other unnecessary stuffs. With that said, it's how I played it and I enjoyed the hell out of it all the way through. 5. Year Walk (iOS) - An iOS game in my GOTY list? GET OUTTA HERE! Just one video game trailer from Simogo Games, and I'm in during the day it came out. How the game started and how you as this person in this game who has to go through the Year Walk just to see the answer you want so badly to know, it's amazing. What comes after was the companion app which delve into the lore of the story even more and you will be finding out clues like a detective to no end! 4. Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate (3DS) - I. Love. Monster Hunter. This video game franchise is such a huge trend here in my country for years back to it's PSP days and there will be a few gatherings for players to come and play due to monster hunter having local multiplayer only. It's the same gameplay, but more monsters to fight and awesome looking armors to wear. Playing alone is still a fun time because you have a little partner to help you out! Playing with friends is even more fun and shouting and planning strategies with them is one awesome thing after another. Good game. Good game. 3. Grand Theft Auto 5 (PS3) - One of the games that I've played the most this year. I used to play GTA 4 a hell lot, where I can just simply drive around town or give trouble with the cops and pretend I'm someone trying to get away from the cops as long as I can, GTA 5 is no exception for me and it's more fun. It improves in every level of the game from their previous entries. I love it. It's a fun story to experience and I love every bit of it. 2. Animal Crossing: A New Leaf (3DS) - I mean... Yeah! Animal Crossing! A game surprisingly that I will play almost every week and continuing the tradition continues with "A New Leaf"! It's such a charming game and communicating with your residents is fun. You are the mayor in your town so you can decorate your town like putting in bench, or a fountain, etc... I love it. I'm still playing it now and I'm looking forward to the future of Animal Crossing! 1. Antichamber (PC) - Antichamber. My number 1 game this year. I love every aspect of this game. It's like it got no story in it but it has a very simple plot, complete the puzzles that was given to you. How the game teaches you and how it was trying to explain to you is just great and it was only created by one guy if I'm not mistaken. I love puzzle games like Antichamber and I find it very very charming. How I solve it my own way and how I discover new things along the way can be mindblowing. Not to mention solving a very hard puzzle felt really REALLY great! I usually looked through walkthroughs of puzzle games but this one.. I forced myself not to look into one and boy was I glad. It's worth it. If you like puzzle adventure games, this is the one for you and I highly recommend it. -------------------------------------------------- Special Mentions:- 1. Soundodger+ (PC) 2. Muramasa Rebirth (PSVITA) 3. Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies (3DS) 4. Assassin's creed 4: Black Flag (PC) 5. Device 6 (iOS) -------------------------------------------------- Games that I wish I could play and finish this year:- 1. Dust: An Elysian Tail (PC) 2. Gunpoint (PC) 3. Rogue Legacy (PC) 4. Papers, Please (PC) 5. Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS) 6. Gran Turismo 6 (PS3) --------------------------------------------------
