SPOILER! Is he a part of the new Organization? (Other Questions Included)

It's hard to merely 'grow into yourself' when you've come across a mountain of information about your entire future all at once. But then again, no wonder he's crazy. If Xehanort from timeline A went back and bothered timeline B, his past self, then the little Xehanort we see in KH3D is timeline B. It can't easily be explained to us how he magically came across these powers to begin with, only that he did on timeline A and he gave them to himself even earlier on timeline B, and made him in charge of making sure the future ended up better. He could do this an innumerable amount of times and we'd never know about it in the present, all we can really see is that he's getting crazier and crazier with his obsession each time. That, and, all the timelines are still happening all at once. He was defeated, and then suddenly, magically, he was back again. Not for the first time, either, might I add. That's about all I have to input. Time travel is... crazy. I had a feeling this might happen immediately going from the Hall of the Cornerstone mess in KH2 to Terra's awkward deja vu flashforwards in Birth by Sleep he shouldn't have been having. It was no surprise to me to see the secret boss could stop and reverse time and it was equally no surprise to me that he was some form of Xehanort. I'm slightly upset I was accurate on these points, especially after I had my theories on it trashed time and time again on other forums, only to be right, in the end. At this point I'm too tired to speculate further. I'm sorry I can't answer any of your questions specifically, but the scene you were wanting subtitled has been by now.

*Spoilers* Kingdom Hearts 3D Video Collection

Still waiting for this scene to be up and subtitled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtvsudvjqU0 I really want to know what all is said to Sora. I can't show my friends the ending until ALL of it is there. So many people are watching it out of order!

*Spoilers* Kingdom Hearts 3D Video Collection

I'm still waiting for the scene where Sora chases Namine and she turns into Xion to be on YouTube, as well as what happens after the Xemnas battle with Sora. I can still find them on the stream's archive, but it's a pain to give my friends that link and tell them where to find it on the timeline. Can't wait! And thanks for the subtitles you've got thus far.

		Riku and Unknown(MAJOR SPOILERS)

I'm waiting for the subtitles to be a little clearer than that, but thank you! I'm not sure what I think of something so important taking place in a dream... how can he be so far along in the waking world? Didn't Dilan, Even, Eleaus and Ienzo just wake up all at once with Lea? How can he have their hearts in this collection? I think they should be treating the dream events as a foreshadowing of what's really to come, instead of treating it like it already happened and it was only possible in a dream. And, not to make anyone's brain bleed, what if the happy ending was just a dream brought on by massive denial? (Lol.) If he had to replace hearts I don't know why it would have been so hard. The Riku replica certainly seemed real enough, even if Xion was unstable as all hell at times. Then again, did Xemnas ever even find out about Repliku to know how successful he was in comparison? A small blessing.

If you got the choice to be trained under one of the masters, which one would you choose?

Xehanort. And I'm totally cool if I get used as part of some larger plan of his and end up 'dying'. It's for the 'greater good', right?

With less than a day until KH3D is released in Japan, do you already know if you will spoil yourself?

Spoilersssssssssssssssssssssssss. I want to find out what Xehanort is up to. edit: It's Wednesday the 28th and 10:30 AM in Japan. The game doesn't officially come out until Thursday the 29th in Japan. As in, another thirteen and a half hours from now. There are people who have gotten the game early but no, the game is not out yet, officially, since it isn't Thursday in Japan. And hell, it's only Tuesday here. Ah, timezones.

*Spoilers* Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] coverage

In this time of information gathering, especially from a variety of sources, many KH sites (okay, I'm going to be honest, this is directed right at KH13 and KHInsider) will leech information off one another and 'demand' credit when they themselves found the information from a third party. Best practice is still to site from the source - not from where or who you heard it from, but from where -they- heard it from, if they are not the source. (I'm going to admit, sometimes the source -is- a member on one of these sites, and they're either or translator, in some cases, or just recently a friend of another fan, passing out information such as when their friend is going to be streaming.) But if this information can be found OUTSIDE your fan site PRIOR to your posting it, do not be so arrogant to treat yourself as the source when you are, in fact, not. That said, just be mature guys. We all just want information. Many of us have several tabs open that we're refreshing. Many of us will find news within seconds of each other. We're all capable of using Google and stalking forums of other sites we're not members of (or no longer members of). It is not such a terribly large deal to me where information comes from and they last thing we need is a 'he said she said that he over there said that him over there found this information from such and such's twitter'. Just site the original person's twitter, for crying out loud. The middlemen do not need credit. Stop being so big of yourself to think that you do if you are a middleman. If you aren't sure of the source of information, and all you have is another person's mention of it, then cite the person who mentioned the information - who from what site. I am not -personally- a member on KHInsider, because back in the day that I was, I was constantly getting my theories trashed and some of them ended up legit and I laughed it off. But the damage was done. A small handful of people ruined the whole site for me. It's a different community with different leaders with slightly different perspectives and levels of rule enforcement. But I still respect KHInsider, and I was using it as my main source of information long before KH13 existed. But I am no longer a member and when the site was changing hands among the staff, that's when I found out about KH13 and began using KH13 instead ever since. Whatever your reasoning for not being an active member on both forums, remember that if you have a 'problem' with the other site, you really just have a problem with an individual or a group of individuals and there are a LARGE number of other innocent forum goes that you do not need to disrespect in the process of having an apparent 'issue' with the other site. Just be respectful of the other fan sites and eventually they'll do it back, one member at a time. In summary: Cite your sources, not who brought it to your attention. If you can't trace it back to the origin, it is OKAY to cite another forum as a source: Who from where said 'such and such' - isn't that cool? I hope so. But stop with the snark about needing credit if you are NOT the only possible source of information. So what if you are the friend of your source? Are you the only friend your source has? The only friend your source has told this information? And so, yes, we may have gotten information from you or we may have gotten it from our mutual friendship with said source. We'll be sure to specify from now on. Thanks for being mature and not assuming things. A friendly reminder is not a snarky one. I'm not here nor there about any specific incident. It just needs to stop happening. Our relationship with other forums is kind of tenuous and it doesn't need to be.

*Spoilers* Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] coverage

Actually, you are right about that. I probably wasn't paying as much attention because I was too busy playing my Japanese copy to listen for news about the NA release. It would have been a great excuse to buy a new PSP, but I guess I missed it. I like my old hacked psp more, anyway... And, unfortunately, as Tsunamo said, I'm pretty sure it was JUST a silver PSP at a discounted price with decals that you could apply yourself. My friend had a silver PSP and gave me the other set of decals to go on my PSP, except mine was phat and for whatever reason they didn't fit properly. T.T; Still, I'm right with you on wanting a 3DS bundle. It's why I'm still holding on buying myself a 3DS. It will be a very last minute purchase for me if there isn't a bundle confirmed.

If it's localized. In the past, the most we've got out of this series is post cards and decals over here, not actual NA localized bundles.

		questions

I'm going to give you my tl;dr first. (So instead of a 'too long, didn't read' it's a 'too long, don't read'. Unless of course you want to. =| I dunno, it's almost 5am and I haven't slept. I tend to ramble.) tl;dr - Long post is long. I disagreed with what you had to say. So I ranted. The two aren't able to be compared because one is a series of related games, the other is a series of unrelated games. Keep in mind that each Final Fantasy numbered game is set up as an individual game, unconnected to the others. Fans of 7 may not be fans of 9. Hell, fans of 7 in particular, over half of them, haven't even touched a single other Final Fantasy game that didn't in some way shape or form include Cloud. Final Fantasy 7 and the hype it created is the only single numbered Final Fantasy game to compete with Kingdom Hearts in terms of actual spinoffs associated with it. FF7 Compilation: Before Crisis > Crisis Core > Final Fantasy 7 > Advent Children > Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children Complete. Fans of 7 also really dug Dissidia and Duodecim because, well, shirtless Sephiroth, duh. Kingdom Hearts Compilation: Birth by Sleep > Kingdom Hearts > Chain of Memories > Kingdom Hearts II > KH Mobile > 358/2 Days > re:Chain of Memories > coded > re:Coded > Birth by Sleep > Dream Drop Distance. And, oh yeah: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix +, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +, Birth by Sleep Final Mix +. I would EASILY say that Nomura specifically has put more time and effort into Kingdom Hearts than any individual Final Fantasy game. But there you go: Each Final Fantasy game is it's OWN thing, with the exception of 10 and 10-2 and XIII and XIII-2. Some of the early games have been lucky enough to see remakes. Otherwise? Kingdom Hearts is far more developed plot-wise because it has spanned far more games than any single Final Fantasy numbered plotline, including their poster child of FF7. Kingdom Hearts may only be a children's game but the same loveable characters span five different gaming systems, four of those being all the modern handhelds (DS, 3DS, Gameboy Advance and PSP). Each Final Fantasy game has it's own plot and there have been several lead directors and developing teams, with some carryover. The only reason why Kingdom Hearts does not surpass Final Fantasy is because it's overlooked as a children's game. Final Fantasy as an -entire- franchise is the least played of any series, I kid you not. There have been VERY few people who have played every single Final Fantasy game. Why is that? you may ask. The answer is obvious: None of the numbered titles are related to any other numbered title. You do not have to know what happened in 6 to enjoy 13, and hell, before Dissidia, most people couldn't even tell you the names of the main characters of every single title. With any other gaming series, it's quite simple: Link is the main character in all the Zelda games. Kirby is the lead character in the Kirby series. And that is the major flaw of Final Fantasy. In the past, people would see a numbered title in the store and go "Well, I haven't played the other ones, so I probably will have no idea what's going on." Little do they know, that's far from the case. Only through recent (and by recent I mean 'since 2005' or so) popularity and word of mouth did people even realize they don't need to play earlier games in the series to understand a Final Fantasy game. Because it's, at it's core, not a series when none of the titles are connected. Therefore, I'd have to say, quite simply, you're entirely wrong about Kingdom Hearts not having as much time put into it. Remixes and re-releases aside, there are -eight- games in Kingdom Hearts. The first -six- Final Fantasy games predated the PS1 until recently when they were re-released on higher platforms. Of the -seven- numbered Final Fantasy titles released since 1997, only -two- have sequels, and only FF7 has a whole series dedicated to it. In short - what are you on about? The only reason I think this series isn't any darker (and by all means, it easily could be) is because of Disney's involvement. Nomura's original ending for Dream Drop Distance was scrapped by Disney, he said so himself. It's upsetting to hear that. On a brighter note, the finished final scene in the game, Nomura later bragged, is going to be longest video segment he's put into any of his games ever. Ah, but trust me, I know where you're coming from when you wish the games were longer. Classic games just seemed to be so much longer, but maybe that's just because I was younger and didn't understand what was going on as well. The original Final Fantasy 7 spanned three PS1 discs! That's practically unheard of these days with modern games - the entire game can be fit in just one cartridge/disc. Then again, they kind of -have- to... there's no way to carry over save files from one cartridge to the next on a handheld. (With the exception of the PSP, that would have been possible.) In other news, we get two save slots for KH3D. On a final note - the recent complaint about the Final Fantasy series has been that it's a joke - both because it's too easy and because it's more like watching a movie than playing a game. As in, more video watching than fighting, and the entire game can be beaten far too quickly. Even with Kingdom Hearts, if you play things nonstop, you will be sadly disappointed on how quickly it feels like it ends, because you did not pace yourself. Some people are busy complaining re:CoM was too hard... I beat that in two days. And I got it a day early from pre-ordering it. =/ Major bummer. I do wish games were more difficult. I do wish games had more hidden easter eggs. But I wouldn't compare Kingdom Hearts series to the Final Fantasy franchise on a whole. There just isn't any comparing the two - Kingdom Hearts is a series of related games, and Final Fantasy is a franchise made of several individual games, of which, have no crossover and not only do the plot and characters not pass between each numbered title - neither do the fans (and, of course, the detail that points out that half of those games weren't even on the radar until over a decade after their release, and only THEN were they remade).

Have you already read the new interview with Nomura about KH3D?

Wasn't there supposed to be a larger one from the other magazine 'within 24 hours' or something?
 -

With just a bit more than a week away from KH3D's release, what are you most looking forward to discover about the game?

Everything! .....but not really the battle system. Story, characters, curious about more worlds not yet mentioned, and hints for KHIII - YES. Battle system? Oh, cool, they're doing something new... whatever. I'll have to wait until it's actually in my hands to find out what it's really like.

		I'm new here.

Hallo~ If you've got questions about the series or if you wanna speculate/theorize on different points, this is definitely the place to be. However, the newest KH game is about to be released in Japan, so if you don't want major spoilers months before it comes out... you might wanna wait to hang around so you don't accidentally find out too much. On the other hand, if you want to know as much as possible, definitely hang around! X'D

Why we know so little... (*SPOILERS*)

Even in the newest interview, Nomura has done it again! This time he avoided discussing Xehanort entirely when he was mentioned.

When was your favorite game of all time released?

My 'favorite game of all time' simply must be the classic Pokémon Red & Blue... Never underestimate the power of a handheld game. I wish 358/2 Days had better gameplay. I wish my PSP hadn't been 'ps not so portable' with it's battery failure and it's need to be plugged in 100% of the time when I played through Birth by Sleep. I'm hoping KH3Ds becomes my next favorite handheld. I was really hoping Pokémon Soul Silver would do the trick - the nostalgia was great, but it simply didn't have the same charm it used to for me and I don't know why. FF7: Crisis Core was also really amazing, but I blew through it far too fast to have it be my favorite game. I need more of a challenge from my games. It gets an honorable mention. Kingdom Hearts 1 would have to be my close second place, because the series has changed me so much and my first play-though had a profound effect on me, emotionally. But I've really got to thank Pokémon Red, I think, as the first game I was ever really exposed to that wasn't one of my friend's older brother's NES/SNES games. A game that was mine. A game that got me through long boring bus rides in elementary school. A game that got me friends and kept me happy when I had none. A game that inspired me to create. It's really odd to say that an old gameboy game is my favorite game of all time, but it really comes down to the fact that it was on a handheld and Kingdom Hearts wasn't. My favorite game is one I can play anytime, anywhere, in any comfy position imaginable, and as a good distraction from uncomfortable ones, too - like being stuck between two strangers on a cross-country flight to visit relatives.
