I'm pumped for this. Toph's daughter as chief of police, two brothers who bend different elements, and a big bad guy who wheres a white mask. This will be awsome.

Unlike you, I actually like some of the things they have on currently, and there are a lot of other people who do as well. A lot of them have a very nice presentation and actual reacurring plots. This is something that the old golden age era cartoons lack. I'm going to be blunt here. How many people are there in comparison to the origional amount of people who watched the cartoons back in the 90s that are willing to watch these old shows for more than 1 or 2 episodes or a random marathon? Not alot. Maybe 1/8, max. That's not enough to completly shun all the new fans who have come to watch the network for a minority that will probably end up not watching the cartoons anyway after a couple of months. Truth be told, another reason I don't like what your trying to support here is that I don't want Cartoon Network to ruin the fond memories I have of these shows. I want them to be as glorious as they are in my head, and if they are rebroadcasted this way, there is a 99% chance that they won't. This is why I support putting the old shows online. The viewer can actually decide how much is too much of a certain show. And again Cartoon Network doesn't lose the fans of the new shows it has already gained.

People would rather watch it on TV... until after 1 or 2 months of Cartoon Network shoving the old cartoons down our throats. People would get tired of them and want to see something new. By then, the studios would have probably gotten a little lazy and wouldn't have had anything good to show the fans, and Cartoon Network would go right back into the gutter. Plus, by simple TV logic, new episodes should get more ratings than reruns, and you can't add new episodes to the old cartoons. You can reboot some of them, (which Cartoon Network has already done) but you can't add new episodes to the origionals.

I think most of the old shows having episodes reposted on Cartoon Network's web site might serve as a better compromise if that is still enough for the fans of the old cartoons. That and perhaps a small clipshow similar to Nicktoons Moments with scenes from the old cartoons would be nice. This way the company doesn't lose any airtime, and the company will make more money off of it's advertising on their website.

KH2 Least Favorite Boss fight: KH2
TheKHTheorist replied to JonB's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Xaldin was the toughest to beat, but Demyx was more annoying. I can't really pick between the two. -
In my opinion, the dark age ended somewhere around 2009. True, alot of the shows have just been average such as Adventure Time and Regular Show. However, I actually like some of the new shows such as Generator Rex, Young Justice, the new Looney Tunes show, and by the look of the promos the new Thundercats show appears to be promising. Cartoon Network has been expirimenting and actually TRYING to get itself out of the gutter. Although they did sometimes try a little too hard to think outside of the box. (Problem Solvers? Really?) Anyway, I'm still comending them for what they've done recently. Out of the three prime childrens stations, Cartoon Network is the only one that doesn't have shows that feel rehashed. Showing too much of the older cartoons might just give Cartoon Network a crutch to work off of. Like Nickelodeon with Spongebob. The balance between the new and old shows is fine right now to me. I want Cartoon Network to move forward, not backwards.

Role of Isa in future kh games
TheKHTheorist replied to keystrike's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I don't think that the eyes necisarily are a contract between Xehanort and the others. If it is some sort of contract, I'm more inclined to believe that the contract is between the person and the darkness itself that is triggered by some sort of exposure to the darkness. Braig's eyes turned yellow after he was shot with darkness in the fight with Terra. Xehanort's eyes probably turned when he stopped wearing his armor while traveling in the lanes between. Isa might have change when Radient Garden fell, but that's still speculative. Whatever darkness that Isa encountered could account for that scar on his face as well considering simmilar scars were left on Braig. As for his role in future games, he might be a good guy, he might be somewhere in the middle, or he could be one of Xehanort's accomplises. He's definently a good point to consider. Although, I'm not sure that in the future he would get enough time to actually get the amount of growth needed to pull of some sort of redeption. -

I don't think the title is great, but it's at least better than 358/2 Days. -

Who's your favourite Kingdom Hearts character?
TheKHTheorist replied to DChiuch's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Roxas. He seems to be the most relatable character to me despite being a nobody. All he wanted was to have friends and a purpose beyond gathering hundreds of hearts for the Organization. Roxas always tries his best to protect the people he cares about. This must make it all the more frustrating to have to kill one of them, leave another behind so he could do what he thought was right, and realize the world where he was was false and so were the friends he thought he knew there. -
I personally would love to see scenes of Castle Oblivion with the Organization moving into it. If Aqua found herself going back to Castle Oblivion and figured out what had happened there that would be... interesting. We could also have Notre Dame (I think that's how you spell it) and other 3d worlds being used in the game if volume 2 came out after 3d.

Technically it took around 12 years for James Cameron to make Avatar. I believe he had the claim when he started the project, and there lies the problem. I'm not sure when Nickelodeon started to produce Avatar:The Last Airbender, but I'm pretty sure they didn't start 12 years ago.

Yes it's true. Although the title changed from Avatar:The Legend of Korra to The Last Airbender:Legend of Korra due to copyright issues with James Cameron.

Perhaps with the sun and moons it's almost a ying-yang type relationship. What I mean is that when the sun is out the light of all the stars fades away, and the sun creates shadows from those who stand in it. In the night the sun is gone and you see the light of the moons and stars surrounded by the darkness of empty space. The two could just be there to complete each other. I am slightly concerned with what they would do with BBSv2. There seems to be a lot of time gaps hinted to be explaned in it. BBSv2 may not fix all of the inconsistencies. When you have inconsistencies, you can create games to explain those incosistencies. That's just Square trying to make money off a franchise. There does come a point where it becomes nearly impossible to explain all of the inconsistencies, and that is when the franchise might start to go downhill. I don't think this game would be BBSv2 though. I think this could happen after KH3.

On the topic of the sunset, I think we have to ask ourselfs where the sun in the KH universe comes from. The stars are all of the different worlds. The moons of the different worlds could possibly be some sort of space rock debree. I really don't know on the moons. But what would that make the sun? All worlds have day and night from what we've seen. Do the worlds circle around the sun like in our solar system? If they do then the sun could have more importance than we thought. Going back to the reports, I think I might have found a plot hole that explains this whole thing. During the secret ending in BBS, Ansem tells Aqua that he lost his memory both times he went to the realm of darkness. Yet, in the reports Ansem seems to remember everything including his apprentices and Radient Garden. Also, did Ansem have some paper and pen around with him at the time? He had to wright the reports down somehow. If he did, he could have read the reports when he was in the realm of darkness the second time and have that to make up for his lost memory. I personally don't think Ansem would have given away the reports to anybody. There are a couple of ways to explain this. 1.Ansem just lied to Aqua in the secret ending in BBS. (I find this very doubtfull.) 2.We have a KH1 Ansem reports situation where someone else wrote the actual reports. (Again, doubtfull. I don't think they would use the same plot device twice like that.) 3.(A theory I thought of while writing this) We have what I like to call the reverse Jiminy Journal situation. If Ansem somehow managed to get memories of his to apear in the reports withought wrighting them, it could acount for this suppossed gap in the reports. Say Ansem didn't know how to do this until he traveled to the realm of nothing and figured out how. The reports would pick up with him in the realm of nothing. Ansem was driven by something, but it was something he could not remember. When he got out and did remember the pages in the reports filled out explaining what happened to Ansem after he fell to darkeness and what drove him to get out. This is only a theory, and hopefully this strange time gap could be exploited in BBSv2. After all in that time Ansem could have come across King Mickey somehow.
-
It's very possible. Although, considering how little DiZ knew about the realm of nothing, DiZ could have simply mistaken the realm of darkness for the realm of nothing. DiZ didn't really mention crossing into over into any new area's in the reports. But there is a possibility that he did and just didn't write it down for whatever reason.

KHBbS Theories on connections between Riku and Xehanort
TheKHTheorist replied to TheKHTheorist's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
You do have to wonder why MX went to Destiny Islands in the first place though. MX usually doesn't do something nice unless it benefits himself in the process, so why would he go out of his way? Why should MX travel all the way to Destiny Islands just to let someone he considered to be a "feckless neophyte" rest in peace? I highly doubt MX didn't do something else while he was there, especially since we never saw when MX left Destiny Islands with Ven. For all we know MX could have stayed at Destiny Islands for a few days while Ven recovered, and who knows what he could have done there. -
I find it strange how simalar Riku and MX are both in appearance and in thought. MX and Riku both wanted to leave the islands and neither shun the darkness. Not to mention they both have white/grayish hair. Some people say that there is some sort of family connection, but Nomura has said there will be no strange family ties in Kingdom Hearts. There is only one other explanation that I can think of and it is that when MX went to Destiny Islands to drop off Ven, he also willingly split part of his heart while he was there. He then managed to place it inside 1 year old Riku. This explains why Riku looks so much like young Xehanort. There is obvioulsy some sort of physical change when another heart enters someone else's body which is proved in Aprentice Xehanort. This could also explain how Riku knew of the outside worlds and wanted to go to them. More evidence is that this how Ansem SoD found Riku in the first place. If Ansem SoD could recognize part of his own heart, he could have used the part of MX heart to sway Riku to darkness in KH1. MX's heart is also how the darkness of Ansem SoD still hid in Riku's heart in CoM. When Riku used the darkness to defeat Roxas, he used not only his own darkness but MX's as well. He only appeared to be Ansem SoD because of it being Ansem SoD who activated the MX's darkness in the first place. If my theory is correct, than this could be what MX meant by having many roads to take. MX could use his heart in Aprentice Xehanort's body to transfer over to Riku using the piece of his heart he left behind in Riku. This would turn him into MX's new host and he would continue to be young and have time to acomplish his plans. In short, part of MX still lives inside Riku and could be used to help MX countinue to be young in some future game.
