  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grQ0HrzuHkk' Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to truly enjoy the night sky? It’s a nice breezy night in an open field on top a hill, up in the sky, all the stars shining down on you. Soaring with all your cares away... I’ve wondered that every night of my life since I was a boy. Every night before I’d go to bed my mom would walk me to the top of the hill behind my house and then lay there with me as she told me stories of witches that soared the skies above and traveled all across the world. I used to take it as a fantasy. Until one night. I was about 12, a few years after my mother had passed, I saw a silhouette of a woman in the sky high above me. She was propelled by something beneath her that closely resembled your traditional broomstick. The silhouette whizzed beneath the stars so elegantly, it was like watching art being created and erased simultaneously as she flew through the night sky. She had the prettiest hair I’d ever seen on a woman. I could actually make out the color of it. It was a pure golden blonde hue, magnificently streaking across her midnight blue canvas. Her curls flowed behind her as she traced across my vision into the empty space of the night, far above me and out of reach… I cried that night. Her hair was just like my mothers. I’ve been there every night since then extending my arm out to the universe. Palm open. Waiting for the girl. Wondering; if she’d come and take my hand and take me away with her.
  2. Verona just continued to watch the interactions between the members of the night raid. Verona also just realized that she had ignored Kotetsu's comment and decided to make a small reply to him. "I can handle myself is anything were to happen, why dont you worry about yourself." Verona somewhat teased as she suggested in leone's direction. Verona was actually teasing with Kotetsu for some reason, maybe because of his persistence, in trying to communicate with her, but she lightened up a bit.
  3. Verona noticed Lubbock staring at her, it made her somewhat uncomfortable the look he was giving her. What's with this guy, he seems a bit creepy for sure Verona thought to herself. She decided not to really respond to it and just let things be. She was kind of curious to see as to who else was around here and what kind of people they were. Verona decided to just wait to continue on.
  4. Verona continued on outside with the rest of the group. She watched as the Lubbock and Tatsumi did their exercise. Verona felt they seemed dedicated to their crafts, she sensed that the two before her were stronger than your ordinary individual. Verona stayed in the back-lines just examining everyone and watching people do their small introductions and friendly chatter. Everyone seems so bubbly and excited about everything, do i even belong here? Verona thought to herself as she kept watching the interactions between everybody. Verona just felt somewhat out of place. She stayed quiet and spared Tatsumi and Lubbock from an introduction.
  5. Vane and I were traveling further and further into the woods when I heard a rustle in the bushes, my body reacted immediately, turning toward the disturbance “Come out! Now!” I shouted. Vane aimed his bow at the bush as a tall pale figure quickly revealed itself. It was a mere man, dressed in torn and shredded clothing, nothing like the padded leather armor everyone was required in Borken to wear. The man had long black ragged locks that draped down to his waist and was clutching a bundled cloth in his arms as if it were some object of great importance. “What’re you doing out here so late without a proper escort?” I asked, suspicious The man seemed frightened and didn’t appear to understand me. He was frantically speaking in tongues I couldn’t understand. Vane lowered his bow suddenly and started communicating with the man in a similar dialect. “Vane what’s going on? What is he speaking? And how did he manage to get this deep into the woods alive?” I asked. “He’s speaking in English, Ley. Man, I can’t believe all those ancient language classes paid off! But more importantly he’s asking for help. He says his village was being torn apart by a cyclone and he was running for shelter when he suddenly appeared here.” Vane said, clearly pleased with his own small amount of tact “Well, this is a peculiar situation. How could this even happen? I thought only seers had the ability to time-jump, and that it was only with proper jurisdiction.” I said in contemplation “What makes you so sure it was a time-jump, Ley?” Vane asked. “It’s the only thing that makes sense, and would enable a human from the ancient times to be here at the present.” I said reassuringly. “Hmm, then what should we do, Ley? I don’t know if I can continue keeping up with this guy, he’s talking rather quick and urgently.” “Find out where and when he came from. We’re going to have to report this to Atlas immediately.” I said to Vane, realizing that if my hypothesis was correct, this wasn’t a situation that was under my jurisdiction Vane started questioning the man, but the man was struggling with his breath. He was talking rapidly and with a hoarse tone. What had this man been through? Vane looked at me with a look of exasperated confusion and continued trying to understand the man. “I thiiinnk he said, ‘he comes from a poem--about the moonlight,’ but I’m not sure. Vane said. “Though I do know he definitely keeps asking for our help.” He added. “That first part can’t be right. Clearly you need to work a bit on your English.” I said frustrated. “Hey! To be fair, at-least I can kind of understand him, and he is struggling quite a bit here.” Vane said in defense. “Well, maybe we can find out more from one of the elders.” I said. “But wait, what’s that he’s holding there?” Vane started gesturing to the cloth in the man’s arms and continued talking to the man. The man then got ecstatic and proceeded to repeat the same phrase over and over. The man extended his arms outward while holding out the bundled up cloth that he was carrying. “Hey what’s he saying? I think he’s gesturing to that blanket. Can you make it out?” I asked Vane perplexed. “I’m almost 100% sure he wants us to rule over his baby that’s wrapped up in that blanket there. What do you think?” Vane nodded his head toward the bundled up cloth. “So you think he’s asking us to enslave some random child?” I asked unsure. -----------This is what I have so far, I'm uncertain on if I want to continue with it's momentum, I'm open to opinions!
  6. Oh jeeze this girl is definitely a character, quiet and strange, though she doesn't seem like she'd be someone you'd want on your bad side. Verona thought as she noticed Akame looking at them and Verona also recalled the few posters with wanted above Akame's name that she had passed during her times in the urban areas . Hmm finally we're moving on with this. I wonder what kind of hideout a band of assassins stays in, Verona thought as the group proceeded inside. Verona absorbed her surroundings as they walked into the hideout. Oh wow, this is more extravagant that I thought it'd be, they must get quite a bit of money from the tasks they're assigned. I could get used to the idea of that. It's been a while since I've stumbled upon a decent sum of money. Well this doesn't seem like it'll be too bad at-least. Verona transitioned from looking around at the base to paying her attention back to the group. Guess I'll soon see what this Night Raid group is made of Verona thought to herself with slight anticipation.
  7. Verona seemed amused by Kotetsu's resolute attitude, she noticed his attempts at humoring her kept coming regardless of how much pressure was put on him. She somewhat respected this, no matter how frail of an image Kotetsu gave off. When Kotetsu flashed his blade Verona simply looked Kotetsu up and down and then decided to continue on forward. With her back now toward Kotetsu she gave off a light laugh. Well if he truly wants to spar later, I'll show him just how outmatched he really is. Verona thought to herself. Verona observed as another girl approached. Looking at this person Verona could tell she was different then the others, the way she walked gave off the impression she'd been experienced in combat before. Verona noticed the girl's stance wasn't as open to weak points and honestly could sense that this girl had no real insecurities holding her back either. This was the girl Leone addressed as Akame. As Akame got closer Verona noticed Akame was holding Danger Beast meat. As she looked at the meat Verona recalled all the hundreds of Danger Beasts' she's slayed in order to get herself food for the day. Verona's stomach growled. Shit, has it really been that long since I've eaten? Honestly, though this isn't the time to be thinking about food. Let's just get this crap over with. Verona intently watched the interaction between Kotetsu and Akame. She found it slightly profound. Who is this girl? Verona thought, And what's up with this Kotetsu kid trying to suck up to her already, jeeze, I thought he was a little better than that. Honestly, the fact she put his hand in her mouth is kind of gross... but whatever she seems definitely different than the others. I suppose this is the Night Raid. When Akame announced that she wouldn't be sharing the food she had hanging in her hand Verona wasn't surprised. Seems pretty normal to me, I 'd have no intentions on sharing anything I hunted, I'd expect the same from others. Verona thought to herself as the others almost appeared bothered by the statement. Verona's had to slay countless Danger beasts on her own just to get a meal in her belly. When you're living alone, you either fend for yourself or die. This was Verona's philosophy and she figured others better learn to stand by it as well. Watching Elektra and Harmony continue on with their naive questions Verona started to get impatient. Can we just get on with this, Verona thought as she waited to proceed.
  8. Verona lightly chuckled to herself whilst observing the interaction between Lucifer and Leone. Catching herself in the act Verona quickly composed and decided to immediately follow behind them with a strong stern presence, however this presence didn't seem like some sort of facade but a presence that gave her a genuine confident aura, with the impression that she was prepared for anything. Verona looked in the corner of her eye as Kotetsu approached her... Oh, him again, god, what's he want? Verona griped the hilt of her blade tensely as Kotetsu got within speaking range. A rush went down Verona's neck as Kotetsu whispered in her ear. Verona was once again met with Kotetsu's petty attempts at small talk. Verona paused for a moment: Normal? Verona thought to herself. She felt extremely disconnected from that word. Verona felt as though she grew up in circumstances that were far from normal. Heh, well I'll show him just how wrong he is... In the next instance Verona swiftly unsheathed her blade and now had her arm extended outward to where her blade was lightly pressed across Kotetsu's chest. "Heh, I'd speak for yourself on that front kid." Verona said with a slight smirk on her face and a light gaze. Verona looked directly at Kotetsu when saying this and you'd think the word "kid" was inappropriate as you could see he was close to her age in terms of appearance, but emotionally speaking Verona felt as though she had superiority. Verona recalled her blade almost in the same instance that she finished her sentence before those in-front could see.
  9. Verona put her blade away as she noticed the woman coming toward them. It wasn't the person that she was expecting, but Verona figured it was probably going to be a while before she were to see them again. Verona looked at the woman wave and realized how odd she seemed for the kind of thing we were going to be involved in. Verona however decided to ignore these facts, and watched as things proceeded. Hmm, I guess I'll follow suit, might as well see where this ride takes me. Verona thought to herself as she felt it was her turn for an introduction. Verona looked around again at all the people who've introduced themselves and stepped up and said "Name's Verona." with a flat tone and dead eyes. Verona felt as though she was half committed to this now that she's gotten to this point. She figured she'll wait and see what happens, afterall hanging around these people wasn't the worst thing that she could be doing.
  10. Verona quickly responded to Kotetsu's quip "Heh, it just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time." Verona said deciding to humor Kotetsu. She then paused for a moment. "That wouldn't be the first time that's happened to something in this world." Verona said as she shot Kotetsu with a blank look. She then glanced at him again and she realized he too bore the look of someone who has no one to go home to. No one to call when they're in need. Verona felt like she could relate to him in someway, but still kept her distanceAll these people seem so damanged, what gives? How'd I end up mixed in with them... Verona decided to reserve herself, waiting for some sort of instruction. She had no plans on participating in much small talk anymore. Her reasoning for deciding to be there may have been unclear, but she knew she wasn't about to waste anymore breath on these trivial conversations.Verona looked up as the new girl approached. Oh jeeze, another oblivious girl coming to crash the party. She blurred out what this girl had said and started to realize her growing disintreast for the company around her. As Verona started to get bored she grabbed the hilt of her katana and instantaneous drew out her blade. With her arm up high she rocked her closed fist gripping the hilt of her sword back and forth as she exaimined her blade for marks from the incident that happened earlier.
  11. Verona pays notice to the girl(Elektra) who she had just insulted. Verona then releases her firm grip away from the blade she had hidden underneath her cloak as Elektra hands the pickaxe back to Lucifer.I may have underestimated this girl, her intent to attack me was not half-hearted. She showed no sign of wanting to back down if it came down to it. However she's quite a loose cannon, though she's still young. I just hope she knows what shes doing. "Alright, you've made it clear you've got some guts. But you might want to control yourself better, once you give into your emotions you're dead." Verona says with a hint of respect. Verona takes note of Elektra's story, thinking of all the times she's had to be alone without anyone to talk to. The ordeal she went through might be worse than anything I could imagine. If anything I do pity her. Despite how annoying, clumbsy, and quick tempered she may seem. Verona thought to herself.
  12. Verona looked at Lucifer with contempt."I'm what now?" Verona said fiercly as she took off her hood. Verona's hair seemed to glisten in the moonlight as it unraveled and waved in the wind. You could really see her face shine once she revealed herself, and her brunette hair complemented the soft innocent features of her face nicely. Her physical appearance really didn't match at all with her personality. Verona realized this wasn't the time for a fight however. You know what screw this guy, if things come to that later than so be it. "Eh, whatever, honestly you people aren't even worth my time, and this girl here is pitiful" Verona seemed to be over Lucifer's whole I-am-a-badass vibe and started then examing the other girl. Verona seemed unamused. "Honestly, what's she even doing here? It's as if someone's brought their little sister to tag along for some sick twisted joyride." Verona said abrasively.

She's lived a life of mystery and misfortune. At the age of 5 she was seperated from her parents during a raid at her house, she had one sibling Vincent who was 5 years older than her, they lived a homeless life trying to get by day to day and just survive. When she was 13 her brother was killed and she managed to get away. Verona was on a mission for revenge at this point, she wanted to avenge her brother's death. So she sought out to find the man that killed her brother. During this time she met a a boy named Ferelden, this boy appeared shortly after the loss of her brother. Verona was vulnerable at this time and so she fell for the boy as he was by her side for 3 years. Together they were able to track down the man named Mait Givens who was an imperial head. Upon discovering this man, Verona decapitated him in his sleep with her Katana. After this Verona and Ferelden seemed to make things work just the two of them. Although, some time around a year ago the boy wound up missing and never was able to get back to her. Verona suspects Given's men had something to do with it as she's had a couple of close encounters with them in the past, all ended with their bodies dissembled by Verona's Katana. Since then she has lived a distant life hidden in a cabin deep in some woodsy area. However on one fateful night Verona found herself ambushed, a member of the Revolutionary Army came and swooped her out of the scene, he then invited her to be initiated into the Night Raid having been watching her for years seeing as she's assassinated countless people in her past. He was impressed with how far she's made it on her own given amount of heat she had on her. She finds herself torn by the idea, but having escaped the scene of ambush, has nowhere else to turn. Weapon: (temporary) A medium length thin katana. Imperial Arm: Haunting Wind: Ethereal A thin silk scarf that when used turns Verona almost transparent looking and gives her the ability to fly and phase through objects and people at will. When activated the scarf legthens to about 20 feet and creates a strong gust and spirals upward around Verona's body cloaking her and her accessories with the look of transparency. KillGlad I found this thread too, I posted in the RP thread without first posting here, sorry.
  14. Verona was standing in the outer permiter of the Night Raid hideout. She had wrapped around her a dark silk cloak, which possesed a hood inwhich she buried her head under. She felt the need to hide away from the others. She was comfortable going unnoticed as she watched the others congregate together chatting amongst themselves. What do I owe these people? Nothing. I'm better off just sticking to myself, afterall we're not here to socialize. Besides I've been fine on my own for the past 5 years. Being wanted was never the sort of status to have to make friends. Verona looked around for the person that invited her to the meeting. No sign of him yet. She seemed to question why she was even there. She recalled the memory of the man that saved her Why did he save me anyway, I was perfectly capable, three against one is my strong suit... I owe him nothng. Yet I still came, I guess I have nowhere else to run to, they raided my cabin and took everything I had, what do I have to lose? A movement is made slightly behind Verona's foot, reflexivly and simultanously Verona whisks out her blade and makes a quick slash towards the ground as a SQUISH sound is made, in this same breath she has now jumped 3 feet back and is facing the direction her back was toward. Now in her line of sight she sees a mouse seperated into two parts with a puddle of blood laying beneath it, right near where her foot was placed. She turns around now facing the group of people agian. Shit! I should probably just head toward them now, might as well. Verona approached the group and decided to say something before anyone could react."Alright, I'm just here because I owe someone a favor, I'm not looking to be friends with any of you. Let's just get that straight."
