  1. To be completely honest, that man has scared me ever since Fantasia. I am still not entirely too sure he is a good guy. Did anybody else play Jade Empire?
  2. Haha, I was the one who originated that theory I am sure that the clash is inevitable. But like I said in my theory, Vanitas is likely to take over as the main villain after the Xehanort Saga. So Sora probably wont get an opportunity to fight him for a long time. But to answer your question, as things stand right now (pre-DDD and without party members) Sora would lose. Vanitas is just far too skilled.
  3. Probably because when they made Kingdom Hearts 1 there was no intention to continue the series. So Ven, Aqua, and Terra werent even though of yet, so they couldnt have been mentioned. Also this may come as hard to understand, if you arent familiar with the legend. But Merlin lives time backwards. So and event that happened afterwards to him happened before. As for Peter Pan. For me it seems like a lot of the reoccuring worlds are only in the game for the sake of developing the characters' abilities. Since there doesnt seem to be another Disney movie that I can think of where the character's have the ability to fly, there is little other logical reason for them to gain the Glide ability. You could send them to Angel Island to learn from Knuckles, but I find that crossover unlikely. During TGS it was mentioned that during the demo, Riku is flying. So the real question that should be asked here is: Why can Riku fly? He never met Peter Pan, and the only villain who can fly is Dragon form Maleficent and Anse- oh never mind I think I just answered my own question. But yeah, I dont think we will be seeing any more of Peter now that everyone who needs to, can fly.
  4. I love when I post a theory and nobody bothers to read it LOL
  5. Most of them are all 9s or 10s for me so rather than fiddleing with Decimals I will just say my order of favorites. KH2 (Its awesomeness) BBS (This would be my favorite, but it was limited by being a handheld title, KH2 just had more to do) ReverseRebirth (Playable Riku, enough said)
  6. Mickey's Key is the Keyblade from the Realm of Darkness. Its name is Kingdom Key -Dark side-. Since Sora wields a keyblade of Light, inverting the colors was a logical design when they made the game. Before Mickey went to the Realm of Darkness in KH1 he weilded the Star Seeker.
  7. Nomura has stated that only part of the game is the Mark of Mastery exam. So I doubt they will be in the Dream Worlds for the whole game. As such the older versions will have to be playable at some point. However one thing to note now, Sora will likely get a new outfit after the exam, because programming the drive forms on top of the combat system already in place wouldnt make sense (also I am fairly sure donald and goofy wont be present in this game, therefore disarming most of his forms anyway.) In addition, Riku's haircut is an actual haircut, its not just shorter as a result of the Dream World. So don't expect him to appear exactly as he appeared in KH2.
  8. "Darkness will become light, Light will fall into darkness" If in fact this line were to refer to characters in the series, then this is a more likely scenario. I just thought of this idea so forgive me for not having put as much research into it as my other theories. I may look deeper into it as time goes on. Darkness will become Light: If you read my other theory (Xehanort's Grand Scheme), I stated that Xehanort and Terra are now separated due to Xehanort's splitting himself. As a result of this Terra's conciousness is left floating around without a home. Sooner or later he will regain a new body, by whatever means Nomura sees fit. If you have played Terra's story you can tell how much he hates his darkness. Xehanort used Terra's darkness to gain control of his body, but as you can see throughout the final chapter, Terra radiates with a light far brighter than anything else seen in that game. He also helps Aqua in her battle against Final Terranort. My guess is that when Terra gains a solid form again he is going to be a Juggernaut of Light-Infused Power. What role he will play in KH3D I can't say because there isnt enough information to form a theory. My guess is he will most likely "Reform" at the end of the game. In Contrast Light will fall into Darkness: Something that was stated a few minutes ago on this thread snapped this thought into my head. Aqua. Aqua was by far the most rediculously broken playable character in the series so far. Which is saying something, because I have played as Mickey. Ventus' battles with Vanitas were nightmareish. Yet every time she battled him she beat Vanitas soundly into the ground with little effort. Vanitas spoke of Aqua as an alternative route for forging the Kye-Blade. She has been a resounding, unmovable force of light since she was introduced, and thus far is the only playable character to assume the mantle of Master. Now I know a few people are thinking "But Rob, you are constantly preaching about Sora being unable to fall to the darkness because he is so strong in the light. What makes Aqua any different?" The answer is simple. One word, turmoil. When Sora sees his friends in danger, or sees a world fall to darkness his mind has one thought. "Charge forward and beat the badguy in the head with my shiny key until the darkness stops and I get friends back." Aqua on the other hand dwells on it. She worries about their safety, mourns the loss of a world and doubts her own power to stop the spread of darkness. At the end of the game Aqua manages to stop Terranort and send him back to Radiant Garden as she fades slowly into the Realm of Darkness. The game ends with her nearly giving up as she wanders the darkness, she is narrowly saved by a thought of her friends, and pushes forward in an attempt to find her way home. Over 10 years have passed since that day. 10 years of wandering in darkness, her only company, the heartless who live within the realm. I suspect Aqua, by now or during the events of KH3D, will have fallen into Darkness, and most likely gained considerable ability over its use. Gamers have seen this scenario before with the Queen of Blades herself Sarah Kerrigan. I wont go into the details of the Starcraft storyline as I am sure most people are familiar with it. But Kerrigan was left to rot on a world overrun by Zerg. A short time later she returned commanding the Swarm herself. Should this theory prove true, then Aqua will not only fall do darkness. But she is more than likely the final boss of Birth by Sleep Volume 2.
  9. Dude, Ventus was "pure light" due to the fact that his darkness was forcably removed from his body. Vanitas was able to take over him so easily because Vanitas IS Ventus. It wasnt a matter of corrupting Ventus, but simply returning the darkness that was already his to him. Sora on the other hand does not have that darkness. He impaled himself in KH1 in a selfless act to save a friend, with a keyblade specifically designed to unlock peoples hearts. The Keyblade of People's Hearts is not a normal keyblade. I know you want to see an evil Sora, but the closest you are gonna get is the return of Vanitas. Xehanort is back and far more powerful than ever before. He is going to easily conquer the worlds that were more resilient in the past. Light falls into Darkness. What is the most "Light" location you can possibly think of in this series. The one world that stood as an unconquerable fortress. Disney Castle, "The Cornerstone of Light". Xehanort is going to plunge Disney castle into darkness while Sora and Riku are undergoing their test.
  10. And in many cases done very well. Hikari + Simple and Clean Mashup : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsVd2sN7P_A Suteki Da Ne (absolutly gorgeous song and great cover): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sro8wTkAvSg
  11. Kingdom Hearts is considered by most fans, and even by Tetsuya Nomura to be a Final Fantasy game. Nomura really wanted to add Sora and Riku to DuoDecim but he had to get it approved by Disney. My guess, since they didnt make it in, Disney said no.
  12. Just for you guys http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png
  13. There is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much going on in Kingdom Hearts to fit in a movie. To top it off, most of the fun in KH is the gameplay and stupidly hard bosses.
  14. The most "erotic" thing Square has ever had in a game was the kiss scene from FFX (which is going to look astounding in HD by the way) If they dont include sex in their main titles, why would they do it in the series initially geared for kids?
  15. Tetsuya Nomura has already expressed plans to remake them all in HD. Releaseing the original versions as downloadable ports would take away from the sales of the remakes. So, I find it to be highly unlikely.
  16. THAT'S IT!!! Its all so clear now! Xehanort forged the Soul Edge!
  17. To accentuate what you said. The problem with anime fans is they tend to forget actual character development in exchange for what they think looks pretty. As I stated in another topic yesterday. One of the biggest tools a writer has is consistancy. When a good writer creates their character they profile his entire being. They spend hours deciding on every little nuance of this characters behaviour. As my friend was saying to me when he reviewed the story I am currently working on. "A character needs to be consistant. The differences between can't, cannot, and can not all matter. Once you decide on a certain behaviour, you cant just have him change this during the story or it isnt the same person anymore." As a character develops it builds on this template. Some things may change or evolve, but the character has to stay within the boundries of who they are. For a character who epitomizes path of light like Sora suddenly weild the powers of darkness brakes his consistancy and shatters the character and spiderwebs, destroying the story. Having Rock Lee, who is incapable of useing Ninjutsu, suddenly start throwing fireballs wouldn't make sense. Also having two characters who are established heterosexuals can not form a homosexual relationship without totally destroying their character profile. I have nothing against homosexuality, yuri, yaoi, or anything of the sort. But nothing annoys me more than the illogicality that is spewed from some people's minds. Characters who have expressed themselves as Heterosexuals should not be shipped with a character of the same gender, and vice versa (example: Sora and Riku). Characters who hate each other that have expressed their unending desire to murder each other or even succeeded in doing so should not be shipped together (example: Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger). And characters that have never been in the same room as each other or simply can not in any logical sense be together (i.e. radical age differences, living in warring countries, or one of them is the main villain) should not be shipped together (Example: Sasuke Uchiha and Hinata Hyuuga) I agree with artistic expression, and people are allowed to ship whatever pairings they desire. But there are some pairings that simply do not make sense if placed in context of the actual story.
  18. Well, as has been stated before, they only have to return alive. So it isnt a question of who will earn the mark. My question is, who gets to weild the Key?
  19. The difference being, Kairi was safe at home. Riku on the other hand, the last time Sora saw him was locked behind a giant door in the Realm of Darkness with only a mouse as protection. Of course his reaction to Riku is going to be a little more emotional. Let me put this in a way you schoolkids can understand. Imagine you went away to summer camp, after a couple months your mom comes to pick you up, you will be happy and share a few hugs. Now think that your big brother went away to fight in Afghanistan, while there his platoon is ambushed and all contact is lost, they are assumed dead. A year and a half later, a strange car pulls up to your house and your brother climbs out. Which situation do you think would elicit a more emotional reaction?
  20. It means that a disembodied eyeball is creepy. It means Square was searching desperatly for a way to make a pink bat wing look intimidating.
  21. The theme of Dream Drop Distance is bold action. We can easily see what Nomura is saying by watching even 2 seconds of gameplay for this game. Sora is bouncing off walls, spinning on telephone poles, a divebombing from the heavens. I even heard that Riku can fly (because of the absense of an encounter with Peter Pan, I am curious where he got this ability.). All of this is done while cloaked in an aura of light that would make even Tyriel jealous. This at first glance seems similar to the combat forms in BBS, a welcome addition. But none of the trailers seem to show just some good old fasioned Sora beatdown. Will our hero be lost to this new "bold action"? What about the puzzle aspect of the game where you can see a treasure chest but wont be able to get to it until you have High Jump and glide and a lot of luck? It seems that out goofy little friend can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Is Sora going to give way to Strobelight Superman? What is your oppinion on the new combat system?
  22. The scene you speak of is a montage of the events of all of the games. Its not heralding the return of Xion or anything like that, simply giving a shout out to another game in the series. I loved 358/2 Days it was a great game, but what I am pointing out here is that it wasnt plot essential. When my friends ask me about the series and whether they "have to play this game". I tell them they HAVE to play Chain of Memories, they HAVE to play BBS. But 358/2 days isnt necessary to understand the story, so I only recommend it to my friends who simply want to play a Kingdom Hearts game or a good DS game.
  23. I played them all. I still found Days and Coded to be unnecessary for the series. I loved days, but you certainly wont be lost without it.
  24. They called it Dream Drop Distance as a play on words, Dream Drop Distance -> DDD -> 3D This game will only be on the 3DS and wouldnt be able to be supported by a different system without drastic changes to the gameplay mechanics.
