    Well, it really depends. Personally I like it, but then again many people don't. I'd say just watch it and decide for yourself. Just remember that Evangelion is one of the most overhyped anime, so don't expect too much from it because that will ruin it for sure since it has it's flaws.

    Depends on the kind of show you're looking for. If you want to watch badasses badassing their way through the giant monsters, you're looking at the wrong show. Shinji starts off pretty ineffectual early on, progressively becomes stronger and confident... and by episode 16 he loses 15 episodes worth of character development because I think the creator fell into depression, and it leaked into his work.
