Project Destati is an enthusiastic group of musicians who have decided to pay tribute to Yoko Shimomura’s brilliant compositions in the Kingdom Hearts games, by capturing the depth, intensity and magnitude of the melodies in their own versions-- all with permission from Disney Enterprises! Today they released Light, the first in a set of three full-length volumes, containing 22 re-imagined tracks of Kingdom Hearts music! This follows their first album, Awakening, which released 358 days ago. Light is available here on Loudr, or here on iTunes. Here's the official track listing: Thanks to the kind folks at Project Destati, we're happy to announce that we will be giving away 7 free copies of Light! (2 on Facebook, 3 on Twitter and 2 on Tumblr.) To have a chance of winning one of these download codes, simply follow one (or all) of the following instructions. Yoko Shimomura, the composer of the Kingdom Hearts series, has posted today that the "Kingdom Hearts HD ver. Soundtrack" is well underway, in the mastering stage, and coming along nicely. She also said that there will be an official announcement for the release date soon. Thanks to translator goldpanner, you can see Shimomura's post translated in full below! Earlier, it was announced that individual soundtracks for both Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX would be released sometime in the future. Also, the Kingdom Hearts Collector's Pack HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX in Japan is known to come with a Blu-ray Music Disc containing tracks from the series. It is unknown which of these Shimomura's post from today is referring to.

With the Japanese release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX fast approaching, the game's full case has finally been revealed, showing both its front and back. The front cover artwork was originally revealed in July, but this is the first time that we've seen the game's back cover. Thanks go to @bKvEBVAvUq for the find! Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, the upcoming HD collection containing remasters of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, as well as Kingdom Hearts Re:coded HD Cinematic Story Videos, releases on October 2, 2014 in Japan, December 2 in North America, December 4 in Australia, and December 5 in Europe.

If I pre-order the normal 1.5 HD remix (available at the moment on amazon) do I get the artwork book and ps3 backgrounds with it? The limited (preorder) edition is still unavailable on amazon in the UK, but the pre-order for the normal game is available.
