YX is simply MX from the past, not from an alternate time line. That's already been explained in the game. That would also break the 3rd rule since that would change the past.

Well YX explained to Riku that time travel can only occur by abiding by 3 rules. 1. One must cast off their flesh and become only a heart. 2. You can only travel in one direction meaning if you're going to the past then that's the only place you can go and vice versa. 3. You cannont change anything that disrupts the flow of time. Of course this only applies to TIME TRAVEL, not time manipulation, which as I said in the OP are two different things.

Now we all know YX can manipulate time, but why can't MX as well? He and YX are the same person, so I'm kind of confused as to why he can't also manipulate time. Now time travel and time manipulation are two different things, so I wouldn't say him not casting off his flesh is a valid answer. Anyway does anyone know?

Riku has the dream eater symbol on his back because he's exactly that, a dream eater. Why? Because when Yen Sid sent Sora and Riku to destiny islands Ansem SoD interfered and Riku entered Sora's dream to protect him essentially becoming a dream eater hence the dream eater symbol on his clothes. Anyway the reason YX and the rest of the Organization went after Sora was because Riku had built up an immunity to darkness. YX explains this in the ending of DDD. Hopefully this helps.

It has to be 13 darknesses vs 7 lights for the x blade to be forged so it's highly likely that they'll all return. Nomura would'n't of done all this if he wasn't going to have them come back. It would make the 13 darknesses pointless.

It's definitely my most anticipated game for the summer and I already pre-ordered it, but for the year that would be Halo 4 for me. I'll always love KH though.

Ansem SoD time traveled to the past and set YMX off on a journey to retrieve other Xehanorts, so YMX(Unknown from BBS) time traveled into the future and took Xemnas and Ansem SoD on his way to the future, which explains why they're back. The rules of time traveling are: 1. One must cast their flesh away and become only a heart. 2. You can't change the flow of time in anyway. 3. I was thinking that as well, but it was just weird the way they worded it. Of course they are just translations and it's hard to be spot on when it comes to the,, so maybe it's better to just wait for the english release.

During the ending of DDD when the 13 darknesses were vanishing MX said we're all returning to our own place due to light and dark being short. Now what I gather from that he means that since that 13 darknesses are still incomplete all of them had to return to their own time, but Braig, Saix, and MX are in their own time, so why would they also vanish? The only ones from a different time that we KNOW of right now are YMX, Xemnas, and Ansem SoD. Anybody have some explanations?

The title of your thread includes spoilers, so you really should change it.

If Yen Sid sends anybody to save Aqua then it'll most likely be Riku or Mickey. Lea just got his keyblade and this no slight against him, but he's just a novice with it. Riku and Mickey have had tons of experience and are masters. They've also both been in the realm of darkness, so it would make much more sense to send one of those two to save Aqua.

Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Terra, Aqua, and Ven. It was just a abbreviated way of writing it.

Which team of keyblade wielders are stronger and which do you prefer? Each team has one master(Riku and Aqua) and each team also has a fairly novice keyblade wielder(Kairi and Ven). Of course Ven is more experienced than Kairi, but definitely not as experienced as the other 4. My choice is SRK, but what about you guys?
