Alec was put off by Nyan's dark turn in his behaviour.He was even on edge when his cup was tossed ashos eyes darted all over the place to find a weapon if he needed just in case.As Alice anwsered the riddle,his mind connected the dots."Yesterday was never there in the first place to begin with,not to question memorizing it...Tell me Nyan,are there any day and night cycles in this world?"He thought around Alice's family death.The story seemed logical but he felt something odd about it,and he couldn't put a finger on it.Yeah sure,since he had to use the first book for analysis for his education years,he knew quite a lot of stuff,but not enough for the situation.However,he felt sorry for her loss.((Speaking of swiggity swooty..This is how I imagine NyanAnd this is AlecFun stuff ))
