Not even considering that becoming a heartless isn't considered death either. I think it's more like some sort of state of suspension until the heart is freed. Clayton and Sabor were killed dead though.

It would be interesting to know but overall it's probably not important so most likely it'll never be revealed. At most I can see them going as far back as to when Xehanort and Ven first met or give us a few more fleshed out details but over all it's not really important.

That depends on what exactly happened to Vanitas which isn't entirely clear at this point. It's implied that Vanitas went back to Ven and like him is most likely "asleep". It also depends if the Xehanort heart fragment that infected Vanitas is also "asleep" or outright purged. The heart fragment is directly connected to Vanitas so even with him potentially inside of Ven, Ven himself should be fine granted that Vanitas is still asleep since the connection between Ven and Xehanort's heart is indirect.

Although Toys R' Us is a children centric store it was never the sort of thing that was generally ingrained into children's nostalgia. Don't get me wrong, if Toys R' Us is in fact "anti-gay" in some way it sucks major balls, just not in that "my childhood is ruined forever!" sort of way. Learning things about Pokemon outside of the US censored stuff? Now THAT makes me question my childhood more than I'd like to admit. "What about that banned Jinx episode!?! MewTwo in the movie was made because why!?!?"

The first question I'm curious about too. If we were to go by the novels Ven was an orphan that MX took advantage of (hurr hurr) but it doesn't go into much more detail and unfortunately the novels aren't entirely canon. Most of the other questions I can answer though. There's nothing inherently special about Ven that makes him capable to make the X-Blade, anyone with a heart of pure light and darkness can do it but that method isn't recommended because it makes a brittle X-Blade. In fact, MX wasn't even originally planning to use Ven for the X-Blade, he was going to take his body the same way he eventually would take Terra's but Ven wouldn't submit to the darkness so MX changed his plans last second. It doesn't seem like there was a long period of time between Ven getting his heart spit and MX dumping him on DI. In fact, it's never said how long MX kept him so it could have been a few days or a few minutes, but either way it couldn't have been long because Vanitas was draining him. Again, the novels clear this up and show that it was only a few minutes after the fact that MX left him on DI but questionable canonicity is questionable. It wasn't Ven who communicated with Sora, it was Sora who communicated with Ven. Sora being Sora saw something shiny (Ven's heart) and followed it. Take that in for a moment. Sora was on his way to be born and he postpones his own birth because he saw something shiny and goes to follow it. Ven wields his Keyblade the way he does because KH needs more ninjas?

I'm leaning more on no. They could do it in KH1 and 2 because Sora was about to become a wielder and Roxas was a new character who forgot he was a wielder. Unless They drop a new character on us or someone gets amnesia (both undesirable outcomes) there's really no reason to. The stat thing is something that hasn't been used recently either.

Pro Tip: Yellow eyes has nothing to do with darkness, that was a widely accepted fan interpretation that has been debunked. It hasn't been outright stated but I'd be surprised if Vanitas wasn't a Darkness all things considering. It'd benefit Xehanort more to have him Norted than not.

This goes for the characters in general but I don't think it's so much a matter of quantity as it is quality. You can get really good character development in just a few minutes but spend many hours with characters but not care about them (I'm looking at you BbS). Spending more time with characters means little unless it's executed well.

The GoL are all pretty expandable tbh, practically anyone can be one. Since two of the goals of the GoL are to protect and be substitutes for the PoH there needs to be at least seven available so fate replenishes them as needed. If all the (potential) GoL were to up and die for some reason fate would choose a whole new seven, no qualms about it. That's why Xehanort doesn't care if the people he turns into Darkness are (potential) GoL or not. The Darknesses aren't as easy to gather because unlike the GoL there's no real benefit to them existing, hence, Xehanort had to "manufacture" darknesses by infecting others and splitting himself. I reckon he has backups though. He either just has to go back in time to fetch another version of himself and there are many people out there with over darkness in their hearts that Xehanort could probably manipulate.

I want to be able to visit all of the PoH worlds. We've been to all of them now but we haven't had a game where we visit them all at once. There are so many characters that need to addressed one way or or another they might have trouble balancing them. I don't expect a lot of character development in this game but I hope all the major ones have a shining moment or two. Like with that characters there's a lot to be covered so pacing might be an issue. Of course, I hope they find a way to tackle this. For game mechanics I want an improved version of BbS's. New duds. I wasn't fond of either Sora, Riku's, nor Kairi's outfits in KH2 all that much so I hope they get something new and improved. Single scenario or if it has to be more, keep the other(s) short. I'm honestly not too fond of the large multi-scenarios like in BbS or 3D, I think it just chops up the narrative and forces us to play with characters for longer than we need to. More to add later~

I hope he gets a new one, I never liked his KH2 outfit tbh. I found it way too cluttered up. I don't care too much either way but I'd prefer it if he didn't get armour either, and by extension, a Keyblade glider. He doesn't need everyone elses toys and I see gliders+armour as more of an LoD thing rather than a general Keyblade wielder thing.

NONE of the pairings are happening, therefor, head canon.

For better or for worse. When I say their relationship is "perfect" I don't mean that in an entirely good way, it's that they were already "pre packaged". The plot demands that they care about each other and have a special bond but from a narrative standpoint it's really lackluster.

Narratively speaking Sora's the "lesser evil" but only by comparison since Riku and Kairi's relationship is pretty much non existent. Canonically Sora and Kairi are already "perfect" for each other regardless of the development.

'cause, Aqua had nothing to do with Sora being a wielder. She considered making him one but since Terra got to Riku first she decided against it afraid that if both were wielders it would tear their friendship apart, hence, "one Keyblade is enough for any friendship". Sora was pretty much chosen by fate. Anyone can be a GoL. Xehanort was referring to Terra when talking about having another on his side. He needed to gather vessels rather than hearts so Ven couldn't really be on his "side".
