  1. Mystics, you're at least not as slow as me. Take pride in that, comrade. On that note though, I'll post after you.
  2. My post is complete, a little later than I meant to, but it be there, friends. By the way, I finally came across this track from Middle Earth: Shadow of War, and it really reminded me of the War Between Worlds. Perhaps it could've been used for the War if it went on any more than it did, though it's just me personally finding it fitting. Give it a listen regardless, it's a neat theme.
  3. - Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - FLASHBACK, Lake Kresnik - - Meksis, the Chaperone, Armour of Light - FLASHBACK, Kilkis Camp Outskirts - - Nergal, the Queenslayer, Yevgeni's Blade - Kilkis Seres Campgrounds - Flashback: - Present Day with Nergal - Sight unseen, Nergal had reentered the Campgrounds of Kilkis Seres, cleaned up, hooded and Masked once more with his Golden Sunlight Mask, having conjured a new one. Walking in from behind Yevgeni, who had just finished up a speech, of which Nergal had remained behind the scenes just to listen to it in its entirety, with his arms behind his back, emulating an air of propriety as he would remain distant but beckon Yevgeni over, carefully conveying himself as a man with important business, a messenger. The mask certainly made this easier, after killing the Queen, the need to be inconspicuous was greater than ever. Maybe one would suspect a man in a mask, but not one dressed and acting such as he. To the others, he should appear as a noteworthy sight, nothing more, perhaps carrying an air of mystery and yet valour. But for Nergal...it was Tuesday.
  4. You waiting for Vaude to respond before doing more of the flashback? Just curious. ----------------- I hate how tired I am sometimes. .-.
  5. Get well soon, Scrap. He would certainly be welcome! (Also, should I have Nergal return to Yevgeni in the present day, perhaps with a flashback prior, albeit masked again, as to remain hidden and act as a sort of, anonymous protector or something like that? You know, as per Yev's cover as the regent of Kilkis Seres, probably recommended to have protection with all this talk of Shiva's death going around. It would make sense for Nergal to still be with Yevgeni in some degree.)
  6. - Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - FLASHBACK, Lake Kresnik - (Flashbacks ahoy. )
  7. The man murdered, brutalised I dare say, one of the most beloved Fey, a Queen, in the Overworld, specifically in front of her old flame during a secret peace talk, seeding chaos and dissent throughout the worlds and their respective peoples. I don't think those you mentioned are alone in their desire to see him hung by his entrails. I miss Mikhail. ;-;
  8. - Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - FLASHBACK, Lake Kresnik - - Meksis, the Chaperone, Armour of Light - FLASHBACK, Kilkis Campgrounds with Maxis - (I'll have present day posts later.)
  9. I'm not looking forward to writing Soren's flashback reaction to her death. Shiva was among the best here, though that's not to say the rest of the cast aren't good. Helios in particular, I like, though I also like Maxis, King Alderon, Lord Raiden/Odin--I'm gonna be here a while listing them, so I'll move on. lol Nergal will make more than a few enemies once people learn of his murder of Queen Shiva, but for now, suspicions are in the air. You certainly have the ability, Stardust. Very nice!
  10. But for the flashback, he's still there, right? Gotta have Nergal make his exit, and Soren do something, you know?
  11. - Talion Glandur and Arwen Nestariel - Polynesian Sea, Heartless Battle - Neither Talion or Arwen got to say much more before the Heartless ambushed them all, with many different kinds along with a large, bipedal Shark, presumably an Emblem Heartless with a Heart to free. As the battle raged and quickly progressed, Arwen channeled Ithil's power and summoned her Storm Bow, her entire left hand and forearm in which she held it was replaced with Ithil's as a full spectral quiver materialized upon her back. Alin was surrounded by Crab-like Heartless, though she had little trouble with them, one of which she kicked away and Ithil simply laid a coup de grace via a spectral arrow being let loose into its face during flight. Arwen/Ithil then took a few moments to grab two arrows at once and fired them both into the heavily weakened Shark Heartless, which was already missing a leg and was badly beaten by Alin, infused with Sand as her element oddly enough. "I wouldn't let your guard down, "Whippy", the Heartless are nothing if not relentless...particularly in the presence of a Rooster, I've found." Arwen commented, still scanning the area, bow at the ready. Talion on the other hand, had caught the attention of a Large Body Heartless, futilely attempting to sneak up on the group, immediately summoning a Hammer of Sol and backhand smacking it in the face with the sharper end, before climbing the oversized creature and pummeling its head in with repeated hammer strikes as it began to topple over, with no chance to fight back as it damn near died before it hit the ground, only hanging on as it landed just to receive a Solar Fireball into it's head, destroying the Heartless. When Talion looked back, Alin's sand-based disposition gave him an idea... "Alin! Just in case they come back, catch this!" He called out to warn her, before hurling a Solar Fireball at her, hoping to enhance her in some way.
  12. - Meksis, the Chaperone, Armour of Light - Outside the Kilkis Campgrounds with Maxis - The whispers of his infection ceased for now, but that was no surprise to Meksis, for it had stayed quiet a long time prior to now. This thing delighted in taunting him it seemed, but only at the right times...if that wasn't enough proof that it could think, Meksis didn't know what else was. What did surprise him however, was the sudden appearance of his brother in armour: Maxis, who he initially was pleased to see, but after catching him twitching in an unexpected and freaky manner, he quickly became concerned as Maxis spoke four words. Four words Meksis never hoped to hear from his old friend. "I need your help..." Sighing deeply, Meksis walked over to the tree Maxis was leaning against prior to his spasm, his walk was an unfaltering approach, but inside Meksis dreaded what he was about to hear about his friends ailment as he placed a hand upon his shoulder in greeting before speaking. "Tell me what's wrong, Maxis...please. I saw you twitching before you asked, that's not supposed to happen." Meksis requested, his tone a solemn one with no effort to hide it. He had hoped nothing was terribly wrong with him, but he was fooling himself if he believed that to be true, for Maxis never asks for help, especially not like this, unless he truly needed it.
  13. - Meksis, Armour of Light, The Chaperone - With Queen Shiva outside Camp - Queen Shiva's certainty about Lord Raiden's potential actions served as great relief to Meksis, despite her not knowing what their meeting will bring, she affirmed the Chaperone that Raiden would not hurt her. And that was enough for Meksis, who relaxed, up until Shiva took his hand, prompting him to resume a firmer stance and reciprocate her bow with one of his own. "Think nothing of it, your majesty...I know that my faith is well-placed. Light be with you, Shiva...I will await your return." Meksis concluded, going into a deep bow of respect and farewell to Shiva after she released his hand and departed into the night, the full moon light reflecting off of her armour was beautiful to behold, like the monarch herself, though thoughts like that, Meksis knew, were better kept to himself, despite Shiva potentially appreciating such flattery. "You know she won't return, Meksis~" The words of Meksis's Darkness hissed at the back of his mind as he turned back to the Campgrounds, heading back toward them in ignorance of the Defiled's words. "Ignore me as much as you want, I know you cannot shake the feeling...what she is doing only garners risk, not salvation." His infection continued, though despite his deafened ears to the shadows, Meksis couldn't shake the feeling after all...not helped by the ever disturbing fact that Meksis, the Defiled, was more of a presence in his mind and body than even during the Battle Between Worlds. - Nergal, Remnant of Meksis - Healer's Tent: Kilkis Seres, with Yevgeni - Yevgeni's grim tone did nothing to dissuade Nergal, nor his ambitions, instead his interest was peaked as the Elf reached for a Dagger...one that he recognized from the chapters of history. "A Feyslayer...Zeus's Dagger, yes? Oh yes it is...Where did--Oh, it matters not. A more finely crafted dagger, one could not ask for." Nergal whispered, completely hiding his internal delight and replacing it with a calm exterior, though his affirmation and sincerity were not mere masks. Nergal listened to Yevgeni as he took hold of Zeus's Dagger himself, the power encrusted into the blade could be felt almost immediately. The true power to kill a Queen was in his hands. The once hollow man looked up at Yevgeni and offered a small smile as he sheathed the dagger upon his waist and began rising to his feet as well, having recovered enough to stand. "On my word, it will be done. Once I have performed the deed, you will know it. Meet with me again and together, Yevgeni, we shall lead Kilkis Seres to the Golden Era you so desire. On this, you have my solemn vow." Nergal's final whisper was followed by a swift departure, but not before placing a hand upon his Healer's shoulder as thanks for her services, to which she only smiled softly. To see one she saved recover from their injuries bought her delight, in spite of the unbeknownst to her fact that Nergal was now out to end the life of a Monarch... Nergal stepped out to the borders of the Campgrounds and deeply inhaled the air around him...many scents were in said air, but only two caught his interest: The stench of Darkness tainting a bountiful Light, a spirit encased in steel...a Living Armour of familiarity to Nergal...Meksis...? And of course, the royal aura, and perfumes, of Queen Shiva, her icy demeanour and power laced into both aromas, oddly producing a sweet smell to Nergal, however, that might have been the scent of death in the air. Meksis was of no interest to Nergal right now, so he set off after the still fresh aroma of Shiva, sneaking around Meksis's general area, keeping to the shadows to avoid sight as he departed from the grounds entirely, in ravenous search for his target. It was time the Overworld knew pain.
  14. - Talion Glandur and Arwen Nestarial/Ithil, the Wraith - Gummi Ship "Vigilant"/Polynesian Sea - After everyone else had entered the Gummi Ship known as the Vigilant, Talion escorted Arwen to the Living Quarters section of the rather sizable ship, picking out a room for them to stay in and sat her down in short order, the entire time she and her Wraith friend remained quiet until they were halfway to their destination. Talion was sharpening his Sword, a weapon he had not used in the battles prior, yet he wanted to keep it sharp and ready, when Arwen sighed, prompting Ithil to materialize, sitting next to her on the bed opposite Talions. "You two are gonna have to say something at some point. None of us can work as a team with awkward silences." Ithil quipped, with Arwen responding in kind with a slight glare. "To be fair...I was just carted into this ship by my ear." "I don't recall you really fighting back! Almost like you deserved it~" "Well in that case, so did you! As you feel my pain, so I wouldn't laugh too soon, you minx." "You never had to follow that idea of mine in the first place, you could've just been your usual self and said "Hi!", eh?" "Okay, first of all--" "Ladies, please. I'm perfectly happy to talk with you two, I've been more than welcoming to listen since we got here!" Talion finally interjected, despite the amusement he felt toward their little squabble, leaning forward as he continued. "Though I am sorry for the earpull, Arwen, I figured however, what better way to cease and desist with the dramatic flair than to do something unexpected?" He said, a little sheepish, but otherwise fine. Arwen contemplated her response for but a moment, before chuckling to herself. "It's more than all right. We both made the mistake, so we earned the...well, discipline." She spoke candidly, raising her hand to silence Ithil who was about to complain again. "I, never caught your name, yet you've heard of me." Arwen added, ever so slightly tilting her head. "Talion. Talion Glandur, known as the Sunbreaker in more than a few worlds. I've taken a liking to the title, just as I've taken a liking to your tales and exploits." Talion said, looking upon Arwen with humility, despite her altered state, he could still feel a brightness within her spirit. "Oh, you're too kind to me, Talion...aside from the earpulling business, of course. But I'm flattered nonetheless." Arwen admitted, though she took some pride in teasing Talion, despite knowing she deserved some form of recompense, his unorthodox method was hilarious to her and Ithil, though even Talion laughed at her comment. "I should use that method more often, it seems. Now, get some sleep. We've a long journey, Arwen." Talion finished with his sword, putting it to one side and laying down upon his bed, while Arwen began to lie on hers, Ithil disappearing once more. "Agreed. Though, I feel I must watch for that Zion. You've heard of her, right?" Arwen questioned, though Talion was more than puzzled. "The one with Wings? She's called Zion? And...why worry?" He quizzed, to which Arwen scoffed. "She has a reputation in more than a few fields...Goddess of Light, Wife of Xion...Consumer of Tacos. You'll like her." She explained between a few chuckles of admiration, Talion only responding with a closing of his eyes and sighing for things to come. --------------------------- The Next Day... Talion and Arwen were assigned with their roles of Seeker and Eliminator, respectively, necessitating a parting of ways for now, wishing each other good luck in their roles. Talion walked with the Seekers, patting Ghost on the back in the middle of his stupor at the sight of this rather beautiful world they had found themselves upon. "Beautiful, isn't it?" He commented, knowing that the man was a fan of Talion right off the bat since Traverse Town, he could only wait for his reaction. Arwen meanwhile, followed the rest of the Eliminators, noting Alin's snark and general attitude, though she found it more than admirable. Alin would be a constant source of entertainment and levity, she was sure of it, as well as her potential combat ability, though her gaze kept shifting between her, the suspicious Stephen and the eponymous Zion, the latter in particular intriguing her. (Ghost was the fan of Talion, right? lol)
