I think what really gets me the most is that these girls PLANNED this murder for months. It takes a certain kind of mentality to do that. I just think that yes, even though they are 12 and minors, they knew exactly what they were doing, and it wasn't a 'spur of the moment' murder. I personally think that going to a mental institution won't help these girls in the slightest. Sadly, I think the only plausible way to effectively punish them is execution. Gosh, this whole case is just horrible.
