30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindDay 10, Favorite original world Twilight Town without a doubt! Twilight (dusk) is my absolute favorite time of day so when i first saw it I was already in love with it. Also the atmosphere, the colors or the world, the music! It is just such a beautiful place! I used to listen to the music on my ipod all the time when i was a kid. Also it has ties with my favorite trio, the sea salt trio. I also really love Traverse Town because it is just such an interesting concept and place to explore (i hope we get to see it again!). And i think it is a really beautiful town. I also like the world that never was because of its connections to the organization and I wish we couldve explored it more.

30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindDay 9: Favorite FF character. Hm...I've never played any FF game all the way through so this is pretty much based only on them in the KH games. I really love Tifa cause she is awesome! I also like Leon, I just find his personality funny, and Cid too. Oh and Zack in BBS was cool too! I hope we see more of him. Though with FF7s story probably not... I think those are my favorites, yeah.

That world is so much fun to fight stuff in and just visually very cool looking! I really like Land of Dragons too but mostly because Mulan is my favorite.

30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindDay 6, Favorite boss battle... Hmmmm....I dont know if i have one. Because I cant think of a time when I finished off a boss and was like, "Oh MAN, i gotta soft reset and battle them again that was so much fun!" I mean, the only thing that comes to mind is the Leachgrave from 358/2 days which i know is weird because no one likes fighting that boss, I didnt like fighting that boss. But in the 3 or 4 times I've played through days, I've come to enjoy it because I knew what i was doing from practice. Which is kind of satisfying because it originally took me like a week of constant fighting and dying to beat him. I remember when i finally won was in public and i jumped up and was like, "YOS! HAHA!!"

Axel and Saix
After reading the Days novel, and seeing more of Saix interactions with Xigbar and Xemnas, I think it's likely that it happened when Saix started trying to climb the Organization leadership ladder. You get a better sense of the politics of the Organization from the novel. Like how even though 1-6 were very high ranking, not all of them held the same standing, or were privy to the same information. Such as Xaldin for instance, even though he is 3, he had no idea the Replica program was even going on and was never in the meetings Xemnas, Xigbar and Saix had where they would discuss what was going on in the Org, the status of various plans and other members. Xigbar calls Saix a 'Ladder Climber' in the Org and doesnt trust him much if at all. All of which gives off the feeling that this is a rather recent development with Saix having this position. Also with how keen Axel and Saix were with getting rid of so many high ranking memebers to make it easier for Saix to climb rhe ranks. Which would make him having to get Norted and branded seem like a condition of him climbing the ranks. Though how he was Norted considering that process includes Xehanort putting a piece of his heart in the vessel is regardless of when it happened still a great mystery. Especially considering how adamant Saix is about feeling nothing, and him always being cold and emotionless and ect ect considering if he had a piece of Xehanorts heart in him that would make his behavior kind of odd.

RIP: Axels Winged Eyeliner
Is anyone else just a tiny bit sad Lea doesnt have the iconic winged eyeliner he had as Axel? T^T Dont get me wrong, he is still gorgeous, but that always was just such a nice touch to his look.

Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindDay 3! Favorite goofys shield: Totally knew this off the top of my head and didnt have to look it uo. Save the king, cause it has the kh heart and crown on it- 30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindDay 2! Favorite disney character in KH: Mulan is my favorite disney character over all, though i feel i gotta give Tinkerbell an honourable mention- Are Seasalt Ice cream bars creamy or icey?
Okay...hear me out. Seasalt ice cream bars have always looked more like ice pops when ever we've seen them prior to kh3. In kh2 and days I know the graphics for this weren't the best but people bit chunks out of them directly from the pop. If it was an ice pop (similar to like fruit pops or those slushee pops) thats exactly how you'd eat it. You'd bite chunks out of it to eat it. Thats also exactly how its represented in the manga. People take bites with small suface chips of the ice flaking off like how a frozen ice pop would. When you eat something like a fudge pop that has more of a creamy ice cream texture to it, you're more licking it slowly as it melts and when it begins to become soft then you take bites. But they dont do that. You're supposed to eat Seasalt ice cream quickly or else it melts. They say that repeatedly in the series when its brought up. And now when i watch the kh3 trailers, the bars look DISTINCTLY fudge pop like with more of a creamy look. IDK, this has been bothering me. What do you guys think?- 30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
How bout it? Looks like fun! Day 1: Favorite KH game cover Oooo...thats tough... 358/2 days With the original GBA Chain of memories as a very close second What's ya'lls?- Axel and Saix
Excellent point. It just adds more to the mystery of WHAT THE HECK was going on in that room???- Axel and Saix
I think it is the wrong place wromg time theory. Ienzo said in 3Ds that a person reforms into a sombody in the exact place they lost their heart (unless it isnt available then you go to traverse town). And Axel now Lea woke up in the room where Ansems computer was in radient garden. The same place all the other apprentice woke up. And when we see Braig get his heart extracted by Terranort in 3Ds, we see baby Ienzo and Even on the floor. So either they: 1) were lurking nearby when this all went down and Terranort (then calling himself ansem) did the same thing he did to Braig and extracted their hearts. 2) what ever experiment that caused baby Ienzo, Vexen, and Terranort himself to lose his heart did the same to Isa and Lea (though why it had no effect of Braig makes me wonder what in the heck that experiment was) 3) They got caught and were used as experiment subjects Or something similar to all of these. Them losing their hearts in that place when radient garden fell is kindof odd because why would they be in that room when the world fell? Did the world fall after the original 6 were already gone and Isa and Lea just ran into the castle? Were they lurking arround the apprentices when the worlds fell? If thats the case why did the world fall at that exact moment? Was it related to the experiment theh were doing just then? I hope we find out...- What you used to believe....
Let's take a stroll down memory lane! What were things you used to believe or theories you used to have about the KH series or story that have since been proven wrong? So many of the blanks have been filled in, i thought it'd be fun for everyone to talk about things they used to think back when we had so many questions and were trying to just figure things out! XD The first time I played KH2 I used to think that Twilight Town was completely made up of humanoid Nobodies. Since that was where they were born, I figured the ones the Org didnt want would just go about their lives and start over. It's pretty silly in hindsight. I didnt know Vivi was from a FF game so for a while i was convinced she was a Heartless that had somehow retained it's humanity and was trying to pass for a human. And that this was gonna be relevant to the plot in some way later. Back when the Unversed were still being called "unbirths" I thought that maybe they were somehow connected to the soul of a person since we had an enamy of heart and body. It seemed like the next logical enemy to be. I cant think of any more at the moment, but what about you guys? Doesnt just need to be theories, just anything you used to think.- Who named the Trios?
So we have the Wayfinder Trio, the Destiny Trio and the Seasalt Trio. For as long as i can remember each of these trios had these names- i dont even remember when or where i learned these. Does anyone know or remember where or who named all the trios? Are these like official names that came out somewhere along the way by the developers or someone attached to the game? Or was it just fan made and it got spread around until now where it just is what we call them?- Fav moments from the manga?
Dont forget Axels reaction to Saix actually saying yes! That was just gold!- What makes Kingdom Hearts special for you?
Kingdom Hearts to me is so many things. In a lot of ways it was the first fandom i ever joined, the first videogame story that ever really got to me. The first time I ever cried over a story was at Axels death in KH2. KH i also associate with me growing up and what was going on at different stages of me growing up. When ever i play a KH game inevitably so many memories of the fandom or of my life at the time come flooding back. The ups, the downs, the tragedies, the heart breaks, the struggles what ever was going oni could always go to this game and revisit these characters and this uplifting story and it would restore something in me. Make me happy when i was sad, remind me to hope to look for light to hope for friends, to cherish the times i had with friends even if it didnt last forever. That spliting up as friends because of moves or circumstance didnt mean the end. That no matter what, so long as we kept each other in our thoughts, we were still friends. I always had problems with making and keeping friends, so Days was always a particularly good therapy game to remind me to keep trying for friends even when i wanted to give up and just not try anymore. It's honestly so much of everything to me. I started playing when i was younger than the characters, grew to be their age and now I'm gonna be in my mid 20s when the game I've been waiting so much time for comes out. It's such a weird feeling. It feels like an ending, the final page of the book of my childhood. After this, I wont stop playing, but every game through my childhood has been leading to this and when it's over, every game after will be me enjoying it and experiencing and expecting it as a grown up person. It's surreal. But I dont mind. KH will always be that light I know to lift me when I'm down, an old friend to visit. It's been such a crazy ride, and I cant wait for the next grand adventure with it- Fav moments from the manga?
Honestly the entirety of the Days manga is just the absolute best thing ever. Roxas talking with riku in Twilight Town, Axel talking with Xion about how he is her best friend, them saying they want to live together when they complete Kingdom Hearts, what all the members do on their vacations, Axel camping out on the grey area couch to catch Saix, Xion and Roxas before they go on their mission to convince Saix to let them go together, Saix looking up the word 'Motivation'..it was all just so great! Also the way they drew the characters emotions on their faces just pulled it all togther in a way the game couldnt because it was in a different medium. Axels talk with xion is my go to example. It still gives me goose bumps to read that scene when in the game all we have are the words. And while the words are powerful, seeing axel grab xion by the shoulders, kneel down to look her in the eye and say to her, "You're no puppet in my book" blows the game out of the water every time.- I just realized something messed up about Xemnas...
I was reading the Days novel when i got to the place where Xemnas looks on at a sleeping Roxas and says, "So sleep has taken you yet again..." I already knew that this was a reference to Ventus and showed us that Xemnas was influenced by Terra deep down- just like how he spends time in the Chamber of Repose and talks to Aquas armor and searches for Ventus in CO. But it then dawned on me that this line also implies that Xemnas must know, he MUST know that Roxas has some connection to Ventus since he looks EXACTLY like him. Why else would he talk to him that way if he didnt realize there was a connection between the two? And it honestly wouldnt surprise me that he had managed to figure out that the reason he loks this way is because of Soras connection with Vens heart. And since they know that the heart shapes the vessel, he honestly is smart enough to figure out that a piece of Vens heart could be in Roxas! And then I realized, that despite this, despite knowing that a piece of this friend who he may not be able to remember why is so important but that he still seeks relentlessly, is inside this Nobody, by the end of the game he is completely fine with destroying him! This person he has been trying so desperately to find, a piece of him is finally here dropped in his lap and he is willing to just have him destroyed? Okay maybe destroyed is hyperbolic, absorbed into xion but still! I dont know why this never sank in but I always found it interesting how Xemnas had so much drive and 'cared' so intensely about finding his 'friends' and I thought that added depth to his character. But the fact that he was so casually ready to very possibly destroy a piece of 'his' friend just added a sickening layer ontop of that characterization and made him even more just evil. Not a bad thing, makes me want to know even more about Xemnas as a character (what was he thinking would happen if Roxas was destroyed, how did he feel about hving roxas being connected to Ven, What went through his mind when he met roxas and saw this ect.)- KH 2 Dialogue change Axels death
Yeah, I saw that one and it is literally just the English dub line for line. Thanks though!- What if it was Naminé?
Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindI'm not really putting it forward as a strong possibility, everything is pointing to it being Xion, i was more asking what your reaction would be if that DID happen. The theories are pretty interesting though- KH 2 Dialogue change Axels death
Does anyone remember that scene before Axel does his final attack in KH2 when Sora says, "Feeling a little regret?" I remember reading years ago that that line was something else in Japanese and it's driving me nuts I cant remember what it was. There used to be lots of fan subs of the original Japanese KH games online but they are practically all gone now! I used to watch them when i was younger to see what was different and I cant believe so many of them are gone now. I cant even find the place I learned about this Axel scene. It used to be somewhere as like trivia because if i remember correctly they had to change that line because the line sora says is like a pun or a play on words or he spelled something out or idk something like that in Japanese but that wasnt gonna work in English. Pls help!- Leas Keyblade Name
Fates Chance- KHCD replied to Fates Chance- KHCD's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindI like "Farthest Light" to symbolize how far he's come, and as a connection to his time with Roxas and Xion. Plus it's main color is red. "Dancing Flame" after his Org XIII title. Though i dont know if he would still want that all things considered considering. "Sunrise" or "Dawn" Axel has always been associated with sunsets which were rather somber for him. A light on the edge of fading to darkness- symbolic of his existence as a Nobody. But with his new life and new purpose, he has hope for a better life. Symbolic of a a sunrise. I dont think it'll be something directly to do with friendship because remember those scenes in Days where Axel would get all embarrassed when talking about friendship and stuff? Doesn't seem like him to directly draw attention to it.- Leas Keyblade Name
What do you think Leas Keyblade will end up being called?- What if it was Naminé?
I was on Tumblr and someone had posted a picture of what we all are thinking is Xionort and they joked and said, "What if it was Naminé? :0" And i laughed and then was like, "Oh hECK!! What a twist that would be!! We all sittin here thinking, "No, Xion!" And then then first time we see the cloaked figure drop her hood its Naminé with white hair and yellow eyes. I dont think it's gonna happen especially after the last trailer, but what would your reaction be if it turned out to be Naminé under that hood? - 30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
