- Henry - The Aug - Mystras Encampment, Raiden's tent -
The moment Henry entered the tent he faced the confused and blank stares of everyone, one person was blank, other indifferent but interested and Raiden had a more sublte reaction, but he could guess he wasn't exactly welcome in the tent. Regardless, Henry listened in on Raiden and Rabiyu and Sifrei, finding great interest in some parts of Raiden's dialogue.
Folding his arms as he thought for a second with Ariana.
'Lake Kresnik...?'
'Its not that far, actualy, then again nothing's that far in the overworld.'
'True enough, but what about the feyslayer?'
'An ancient weapon held in rumors and legends, its history is that it has slain a great many feys, even kings, all in one slice of the cursed sword.'
'I see.'
And just after they had this small interchange in his mind Raiden explained a bit about the sword, giving further knowledge of why it was lethal. "It is not your fault for wanting to keep mementos, however, I wonder how the assassin managed to get a hold of it, security over it must have been tight if it was such a deadly relic." Henry gave a comment. "Would it be safe to assume this assassin may have a connection within the ranks? Because how would he even know of the sword and acquire it?" Henry ended that line of thought with a further comment
"And while we're on the topic of the assassin...Raiden." Henry spoke, looking straight at Raiden, his tone tightening in seriousness. "Do you remember the killer's appearance? Clothing, any other apparel on him, it might be a stretch but it could prove useful." Henry asked, after all it seemed changing clothes to look different wasn't the trend these days.
- Ivany - The Doctor who's way in over her head - Kilkis Seres encampment -
Ivany's expression turned into even more of a shocked one as Meksis further commented and came to the conclusion of his original body's hollowness. Which may have prompted the being to cause all of this in the first place.
"That is a possibilty, there had been cases of the vessels going on rampages, but none like this." Ivany spoke as Meksis mentioned the queen, which made her widen her eyes and bring a hand to her chin.
"That is also a poss-" Ivany was mid speech as Meksis almost sunk into despair. Which prompted Ivany to take up a concerned expression as she remembered she had something else. Quickly scrambling off to a shelf of books, pulling an old book and opening it, and smirking as she had gotten the right one.
"Here." Ivany spoke as she held the tome right in front of Meksis, this was an old book with key words used in the ancient times, and with other knowledge, all of which was in the old language, and she could not read it for the life of her, but was given to her by Maxis for safekeeping in case anything went wrong. She couldn't even read the book's title, it was that foreign to her.
"You'l do your job, find your other self, and fix Maxis. This book has key words used for a myriad of things, its in your old language, and you should be able to read it. Maybe there is a sentence in it that can help you suppress yourself, maybe even forcefully purge a bit of corruption..." Ivany commented, it was a stretch, but damn those researchers back then were paranoid and prepared.
- Maxis - The Mad - Kilkis Seres encampment -
Maxis stood still for several minutes, seemingly in a trance, he was completely still, like a truly empty armor as Jari spoke to him. A small, thin line of madness energy seeping from Maxis's eyeplate. "Seems like your tail isn't always between your legs." Maxis taunted, in a completely sadistic tone. Which might have seemed random after Maxis's prior reaction to his actions, but Maxis's wans't the same anymore. He was unhinged now, and it would show.
"Thank you for the directions...i'l leave you two alone...until we meet again, Fox boy." Maxis spoke, without facing Jari as he began to walk towards the pointed direction. Ignoring any bad looks and prying eyes the others gave him. He made his way to where Yevgeni, but did notice the blond was already conversing with someone else, Soren...in particular, someone Maxis held almost nothing but disdain for, a sentiment shared by a lot of soldiers alike.
Maxis hid behind a corner wall as the two spoke for a moment, none of their conversation proved much use other than further increasing Maxis's suspicion that something else was afoot. Maybe that clone he sent to Mystras might be able to find out...something. But he would do his part here while he could.
As they were about to leave somewhere, it was the perfect opportunity to have Maxis's presence known. He turned the corner, and walked towards the two. He walked over to them without saying a word until he was only just a few meters away from them.
"Hello." Maxis let out in greeting. "Yevgeni...Soren." Maxis added, his tone to Soren would lower in pitch a bit, just to show how he felt about the man. "Going somewhere?" Maxis asked, changing his tone to that of a carefree and excited one. "I've been meaning to speak to you Yevgeni."
