  1. Just beat Final Fantasy XV. Overall, a very-well done game. My pick for Game of the Year.
  2. Me. Got the digital edition pre-downloaded. I'm out of town currently, but it will be ready to play when I get back. Pretty much the only time that NA gamers get a FF game before Japan (if only by two days).
  3. Just beat the Lingering Will on Critical. Without the Fenrir exploit. Instead, I used Berserk Charge and Fantasia exploit. Now to get the rest of the secret ending requirements...
  4. Just beat Kingdom Heart II Final Mix on Critical. Secret bosses (I'm thinking of the Lingering Will in particular) aside, it's not called the hardest difficulty for nothing. Especially at the end. Having half as much health gets to you if you aren't a pro at blocking with the endgame bosses. Still haven't beaten Marluxia and Sephiroth on Critical or Lingering Will on any difficulty.
  5. I am totally loving Square Enix's trailers this TGS! Not just 2.8, but FF XV, and especially World of Final Fantasy as well. That Rydia and Tifa dual reveal really made my day. Glad WoFF is getting some FF IV love at last!
  6. It was a hardware event, not a software event. Basically, the PS4 Slim was announced for $299 (which launches in about a week), but the real story was the PS4, which costs $399 and has a release date of November 10th. It's main selling points are increasing GPU and CPU, as well as compatibility with 4K TVs. In short, it was the rumored PS4 Neo/ PS4K. The conference generally was not received well, as many thought it was boring, but a lot of the criticism was over the fact that the PS4 Pro will not be compatible with 4K Blu-Ray Disks (not a big deal, as most content is now going digital these days). Of course, Microsoft and PC fanboys took the opportunity to bash Sony over just about everything they could (typical). My thoughts? Good info, but the presentation could have gone better. There were a few games that were shown, mainly to show off the power of the PS4 Pro, including Final Fantasy XV. I hope that answered your question.
  7. True. To be honest, I thought that their PAX West coverage, including their 2.8 coverage was quite good and a lot, a lot better than their TGS 2014 (that was the infamous Roxas is a Garabage Character Moment) and E3 2015 coverage. My problem is with some of their devotees who say that: IGN says something, therefore it must be true!
  8. Arguing with anyone who worships IGN like the gospel is so much fun. LOL! Especially when it involves Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts.
  9. Just finished watching Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV and I really enjoyed it, especially the action scenes. And I did not think that the story was confusing at all. Personally, I don't think that the movie deserved the negative reviews that it got from the "Mainstream" Western Critics.
  10. My take on the ending of KH x: if you liked the ending of Birth by Sleep, you'll love Chi's ending. But on the flip side: too many unanswered questions (but I suppose those questions with be resolved in either the update on the 29th, season 2 of unchained x, Back Cover, or skies forbid, Kingdom Hearts III). But overall a good ending.
  11. I was talking about about the Kingdom Hearts Chi update tomorrow. I should have been more specific.
  12. Less than 24 hours to go! And it looks like the ending won't be delayed this time!
  13. PS3 has a better game library, especially when you look at the digital offerings and the fact that many of the best PS2 games can be played on the PS3 in either remasters or digital downloads. PS4 is a better piece of a hardware, though. The first point might need a reexamining by the end of 2017, though with (most of) Square Japan's heavy hitters set to release by the end of 2017, if not 2018 (and I believe most people know what I'm talking about).
  14. So Bartz from Final Fantasy V and Terra from Final Fantasy VI were just confirmed for World of Final Fantasy. Glad to see more classic Final Fantasy characters appearing in that game. Now if only there were more appearances by some FF IV characters. Just saying. Sorry, but Final Fantasy IV is my all-time favorite Final Fantasy game.
  15. Loved the first 12 minutes of Kingsglaive. More than made up for FFXV delay, IMO.
  16. KH II is better than KH I. I like Dream Drop Distance better than Re: Coded (probably because DDD was the first Kingdom Hearts game I played). I actually found Atlantica to be enjoyable (aside from Swim this Way) and want it to return in future Kingdom Hearts games and include characters and story elements from the sequel (no, I'm serious). As a non-musical, of course, preferably with the surface side explorable. The lack of connection between the main Kingdom Hearts storyline and the storyline of each Disney world doesn't bother me. I don't understand the hype for a Treasure Planet-based world in Kingdom Hearts III (personally, I'd rather see Port Royal returning).
  17. I pre-ordered the Deluxe edition from the Square Enix store within a week after FFXV: Uncovered event. I should make a disclaimer that you need to pre-order it from the Square Enix online store. Pre-ordering it anywhere else doesn't count apparently.
  18. Just did my first go into the FF XV: Carbuncle Surprise Sweepstakes and won the Final Fantasy XV Cindymobile DLC skin. Not bad, I suppose.
  19. So Dream Drop Distance turned 4 today. Quite fond memories of that game, as it was the very first Kingdom Hearts game that I played and the one that would get me into the Kingdom Hearts series.
  20. Wasn't aware of the part of September being assumed to be the reveal month. But I see what you mean. You go for easy guesses. You site unnamed "sources" to make your "leak" look credible.
  21. I don't know if it's true, but like any rumor, wait until Nintendo or whoever announces it themselves. The interesting thing is that one of their unnamed sources seems to know the exact month of their NX launch. Of course, Nintendo's policy is not to comment on rumors, so we'll see what happens in September as to whether this rumor is proved true or not.
  22. September is certainly turning into an interesting month for news and releases. And to be sure, there was already a fair amount of incoming news before the NX "rumor."
  23. Well, that sooner that I expected! As far as announcements, probably new trailers for at least some of the Summer/ Fall releases that are mentioned (FF XV, WoFF, Mankind Divided, Dragon Quest Builders). In particular, I'm expecting Part 4 of Final Fantasy XV: Brotherhood to be released. To be honest, I'm quite surprised that that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is present here, given it is a 2017 release.
  24. Given Square's recent pre-order history of the past two years, it is likely that 2.8's limited edition could include digital in-game content, a PS4 theme, and maybe an artbook.
