  1. Just preordered the World of Final Fantasy Collector's Edition. This will be my first collector's edition of a game (excluding the FF XV Deluxe Edition I pre-ordered earlier this year). However, this one is in a different league as it contains the usual collector's edition stuff such as artwork and game soundtrack. Those two things are requirements of a true collector's edition, in my opinion.
  2. At first, I was thinking that some announcement would be made at SDCC, given that a limited edition of KH 2.5 was announced at SDCC in 2014, but with Square's marketing being focused heavily on FF XV and Deus Ex at the moment, we will probably not see another 2.8 trailer until Gamescom, which is August 17-21, at the very earliest.
  3. Started the first of the new story quests in KHUx and the Bam! the music changes to that of Laughter and Merriment of Kingdom Hearts 2! Glad to see that Square is incorporating some more memorable elements Kingdom Hearts 2. Wish they would do more.
  4. No surprise really that 2.8 is making the stop at all of Square Enix's Summer stops (Japan Expo, SDCC, likely Gamescom and Pax Prime, you get the idea). The question I have is whether we expect a release date or a collector's edition information at SDCC.
  5. Port Royal from KH II is one of those worlds that people either hate or they love. Personally, I hated it on my first playthrough, but once I figured out the lure-the-pirates-into-the-moonlight-trick-then-zap-'em-with-magic, I learned to love it. I really hope Square brings Port Royal back for KH III (covering both the second and third movies). Also, PotC 5 is one of my most anticipated movies of early 2017.
  6. Right now, between the latest Kingdom Hearts x story update, the latest FF XV Brotherhood episode, and the World of Final Fantasy gameplay trailer that was just released, that is perhaps too much to take in one day. Especially the the KH x story part.
  7. Almost play time for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness! Just about an hour and a half of wait time as of writing.
  8. For the record, anyone who didn't catch the comments from Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ producer Hironori Okayama (whose name I would like to apologize for omitting) can now be found on Square Enix Presents E3 2016 Day 2 roughly at the 2:20:20 mark (note that is the Youtube video I am referring to, so the timing could be different for Twitch video).
  9. For me, the best part of the 2.8 portion of Square Enix Presents was when one Nomura's top director's announced that not only was Unchained x coming to Europe tomorrow, but everyone was getting an Aqua medal and to please stop sharing your Donald medals. Way to throw a shade at those players who keep sharing 1-star Donalds!
  10. Sony, but Bethesda is a very close second due to the fact that the Skyrim remastered rumors have been all but confirmed and that there is a chance that they might tease The Elder Scrolls VI (everyone knows it's in development but that it won't release this year).
  11. E3 now seems like it lasts two weeks now (or a month).
  12. It has been confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will be playable at Square Enix's booth. It is unknown what parts of the game will be playable, though. I assume that there will be some footage of those demos released to the public in some form. In addition to appearances at TGS, I would probably anticipate trailers dropping at SDCC, Gamescom, and PAX Prime (since Square did, if I remember correctly, did release trailers for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 at those events).
  13. This is not a drill. Square Enix just announced Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, with a 2017 release date. I am not making this up. Add another game to my must-plays of 2017. My bank account is going to be empty after 2017.
  14. Once this quest chain is finished, everyone should have enough Orichalcum to level four of their keyblades to level 20 (sans Olympia, which seems to have a level cap of 10). And this might beg the question...when will the level caps for keyblades be raised, assuming Square has plans to raise them?
  15. 2017 is shaping up to be a really good year for gaming.
  16. At least they confirmed what everyone knew already-that Zelda Wii U is going to also be Zelda NX, as well that Zelda Wii U will be playable at E3.
  17. This is probably going to be Nintendo's show with NX and Zelda Wii U, but there is almost certainly going to be good stuff from Sony as well. Sony is going to probably be too busy promoting VR stuff to announce PS4K/GEO/PS4.5 (that is going to wait until next year's E3 or Playstation Experience at the very earliest. The only question I have is whether Square will its own dedicated press conference Tuesday that competes with Nintendo (bad move this time around) or whether it will be part of Sony's.press conference. For the record, Square's presser for 2015 was announced on April 23rd and Sony's was announced on May 15th, so I'm kind of thinking that if we don't get an announcement from Square this week, we won't get a dedicated presser, but who knows? Anyone else knows if Square has plans for a dedicated presser or if they need one?
  18. In addition to catching up to the Japanese version on quests, I'd like to see medals featuring characters from Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance (as well as Kingdom Hearts III, even if that is a longshot).
  19. Correction. The 300 jewel pack does not guarantee you a 5 star medal. Only the 3000 jewel pack does.
  20. Here's how it works-you get 1-2 star medals for completing story quests, as you know. To get 3-5 star medals, one option is to go to the shop and spend jewels (I recommend the 600 jewels for 3 medals; you can only do this once a day; and save up your jewels, you should have plenty. You can also get them by doing special quests (which you can start doing around after story quest or so 30; they change each day in a rotating weekly fashion). You can also get medals by fighting raid bosses. A final option is to evolve you lesser medals to rarer ones, but that is expensive and/or time consuming. I'd recommend just doing the shop method.
  21. Don't look now, but a new update for KHUx just hit. This update adds medals 256-279. That's about four character's worth of medals, btw. I wonder what those could be...
  22. Just beat Quest 200 in KHUx! Now to wait for more quests while leveling up medals...
  23. I'm not at all surprised by Square's lineup. Pretty much what I expected. Just a reminder-the Japanese version of Unchained x had been appearing at Japanese events months after its release and even in ads. My only question now is whether we could get new information about at PAX East such as future updates or maybe more info on 2.8 (or even a trailer).
  24. Just had the displeasure of watching IGN's announcement video for Unchained χ. Not only did the announcer mispronounce the "χ" as "X," but butchered a number of other pronunciations as well, such as Chirithy's name. Good lord. IGN should change its name to Ignorant Gaming Network or something.
