Well, plotholes are one thing, retcons are another. Plotholes are always bad if they are not "filled": even if it's just "he didn't plan the story beforehand", it's still a hole in your story. And DDD is not written well, whether or not you like the time travel stuff.

I never ran out of cards with Riku, except with Ursula (which is a horrible boss in all of the games, it's like she was made to annoy you). With Sora instead, at least before I got elixirs, I very easily ran out of cards if I didn't pay attention.

With Sora you can create your deck, there are a lot of keyblades, and each one of them has its own stats in the first, middle, and finisher hits, there are magics, summons, and if you can choose which sleights you want. With Riku you have a pre-made deck, with just one type of attack card, no magics, no other stuff, and as soon as you enter the darkness mode, you have your overpowered sleights that you will almost always have, even if you waste cards. Furthermore, no recharge meter, nor recha...

I didn't play very well, but I got lucky in the end, I would have lost otherwise. Great battle nonetheless

The gameplay in Riku's story is just :enter darkness form, then spam triangle and occasionally a 0

After replaying Re:CoM I've changed my mind: Riku's story is definitely worse than Sora's

I love it too, and seeing so many exclusive games coming to the 3ds sucks... but I understand they have to rely only on the 3DS to make money untill the NX arrives
