I was ranked 6th earlier today and thought I actually had a shot after working hard all week to get in the parade, had we won. Now I'm like, 17th, with a week's worth of wasted effort. It's disheartening.

A lot of it has to do with one's own individual nostalgia meter. If you see an old game an your first thought is "MY CHILDHOOD", chances are you'll be far more inclined to think it aged well, regardless of if it actually did or not. Nostalgia glasses/goggles is often used to describe the term, and it applies to pretty much any influential medium (movies/books/tv/etc).

KH II Cloud is good, but he REALLY shines for AOE grinding a la Raid Bosses. Always a good medal to have 6* and on backup/in your main rotation.Valor form Sora is often said to be one of the top power medals.Wakka you can get from quest rewards, but there's a farming method that involves using some 6* Wakka's, so you might wanna hang onto that.KH II Riku often makes the top speed medal lists, so keep them for sure.Vivi and DiZ are awesome buff medals. Slot them as your first medal, use them, and all the rest of your medals get a nice, nice buff. Not worth 6*ing though, keep them 5*.
Quite right. Often it raises expectations beyond what would ever be possible to achieve, even if the game was literally flawless and innovative in every way.

To be fair to hype, it does create some spectacular release day/week sales. Virtually unsustainable, and usually drops off hard, but it's nice for those first few days.
