  1. Don't worry, we'll keep an eye on their next issue to see what they think in detail. Anything about their review will be right here as soon as we get it, as I said.
  2. After FFXIII got a 39, I'm really skeptical of any bias they may have toward Square Enix. I'll wait until more scores come in before casting judgement, personally.

  6. Utada Hikaru's manager and father, Utada Teruzane, has announced through his Twitter account, @u3music, that work on the Kingdom Hearts III intro song has begun! In 2013, Teruzane stated that Utada's involvement was undecided at the time. On December 22nd 2016, a curious fan followed up on this message, receiving a reply from Teruzane later that day. Utada made her return to the Kingdom Hearts series earlier this year, collaborating with PUNPEE to create "Hikari/Simple and Clean -Ray of Hope MIX-", included in the opening for Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-. UPDATE: Utada Teruzane has retracted the confirmation for Kingdom Hearts III, saying that they would like to be involved but aren't sure quite yet. You can find a screenshot of the tweet below. The original tweet confirming their involvement is still available on the U3 Twitter account. Are you excited to have a new Kingdom Hearts intro song? Let us know in the comments! 9. Haven't seen anything new about it yet whatsoever. Probably some bug fixes since converting to 60fps requires them to rewrite the code. And probably lower load times than PS3 because of direct installs. That's all speculation, though.
  10. Square Enix is selling a variety of merchandise at their booth at Jump Festa 2017, many of which relate to the Kingdom Hearts series. These products are listed on two pages, and include keychains, plush toys, and music discs, among others. All of these products have previously been announced and released, but Square Enix may have new products on sale at some point during the event. The Kingdom Hearts products that Square Enix is selling are listed below. Do you have any of this merchandise? If you are attending Jump Festa, will you be picking anything up? 12. The HD King Mickey medals have been distributed! These medals are available to players who previously unlocked the Special Attack Bonus bonuses for HD Sora or HD Riku. Each medal has three Special Attack Bonus dots pre-filled, allowing you to unlock the full bonus if you had fulfilled the requirements for both of the prerequisite medals. HD King Mickey is an upright magic medal with a Special Attack Bonus tier of 4. Its special attack grows stronger as you collect more Lux, so be sure to bring it on longer missions where the enemies get tough! This effect even applies to Raid Boss battles as well, making it a massive damage dealer in boss encounters which take place over many turns. However, HD King Mickey's special attack costs 3 gauges, so you might want to use it sparingly! While this was not included in previous notices which showcased the medal, Square Enix has surprised us by including something special. If you share this medal for your party to use, your main menu background music will be changed to Dearly Beloved -Dream Drop Distance ver.-! There are many more medals to be added which feature different background music! Will you try to collect them all? Did you manage to obtain HD King Mickey? Let us know in the comments!
  13. Agreed. Give me best girl now, dammit. (inb4 "Rax, you spelled Aranea wrong") On-topic: Characters, characters, characters. Always the right answer for an FF, with music being a very close second. Yoko certainly didn't disappoint in her first entry in the series.
  14. The Japanese website for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue has been updated. New screenshots and character renders have been added for each installment. There is also quite a bit of story, character, and world information within. For Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, even more screenshots and renders are available through the "World" button, with each world receiving its own page. Additionally, the "Scene" button of the Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover page shows more screenshots from various scenes of the movie. Unfortunately, the page for Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage- does not include its own unique button with additional images, instead only receiving the more general "Story" and "Character" sections. You can view the new screenshots and renders below. Thanks to Twitter user @aibo_ac7 for notifying us! Translations of the pages' contents courtesy of Goldpanner, although information about old worlds and characters from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance has not been translated! 16. I have no idea, but I hope we get them! The set just wouldn't feel complete otherwise.
  17. It's the 13th of the month, and that means that the next Organization XIII event has come to KHUX International! Starting on December 13th at 12AM (PT), you can earn Larxene B medals, as well as Larxene-themed Avatar Parts!
  18. I like all of those categories, as well as one you didn't include in the poll; Dialogue choices! I know they aren't universally a part of RPGs (especially JRPGs), but one of the biggest draws of most WRPGs like Fallout New Vegas for me is being able to make the main character my own, whether I want to project myself onto them or turn them into a type of character I don't often see in fiction (or, better yet, just completely go insane and give bipolar answers throughout the game). Granted, the whole concept may fall within "characters" or "story", depending on who you ask, but considering how vastly different JRPGs and WRPGs tend to be on their approach to this sort of thing, I feel like it deserves mentioning by itself, especially considering how it can make or break an RPG for some people (just look at how Fallout 4 handled dialogue, for a good example).
  19. Square Enix has recently chosen to pay homage to the Kingdom Hearts series in an interesting and humorous way. Within Final Fantasy XV, your party will come across many locked doors, and each character will typically have a few remarks about the situation. One of these exchanges is a reference to the Keyblade and its unique abilities. A video clip (courtesy of YouTube user Jaxtaroo) and a transcript of the conversation can be seen below. For those concerned about spoilers, the clip only includes the conversation, so there aren't any important story or gameplay details to skip through. We have, however, decided to put these pieces of information behind spoiler tags nonetheless. Transcript: Spoiler *Noctis tries to open the door, and the player is met with a dialog box, which reads "The door is locked"* Noctis: No dice, won't budge. Ignis: For every lock, there exists a key. Prompto: Or like a magical key that can unlock any door -- like from the video games! Gladiolus: Or that. 21. Yep, I have the one from WoFF as well, but mine was the corrected one. Seems to be a mixed bag as to who gets which ad. Probably something to do with the specific packaging date of each copy.
