  1. That’s a great point. I suppose we all just have to answer the question of what we’re willing to put up with.
  2. Theoretically it can, but most people don’t see AI that way. Don’t ask me why.
  3. Which is really a shame because I respect Sega in so many other ways! Out of all the Triple A publishers out there, Sega seems the most concerned with the advancement of video games as an art form, and the developers they've taken under their wing is proof. Atlus has seen nothing but positives ever since Sega took them in, and I'm not sure I could respect the Yakuza series any more if I tried. And all this is to say nothing of the earth-shattering innovations Sega's brought to the arcade industry! And yet...here they are, stuck with the little blue demon who can't make a good game to save his soul... FRUSTRATION
  4. The only thing that would make Sonic games less awful is if Sonic Team hears the words "you're fired". The franchise has been on the decline for several years now and I don't think it's any coincidence why
  5. I really like the look of the blue. Biased bc favorite color.
  6. I don't think that's any reason not to try though. The true worth of graphics is how they're utilized, and a lot of games use them strictly as a marketing gimmick. That's the problem.
  7. Aptly put
  8. I blame education. Media literacy has been on the decline for the past decade. But also our culture. No one has any desire to think about what they watch; they just want to inhale and let the author do the thinking for them. And Hawk is entirely right, films like these have their place just...nuance. I want at least a little nuance really.
  9. They truly are. The modern audience seems incapable of comprehending anything more complex than a by-the-numbers good vs evil plot.
  10. The one piece of merch I want more than anything is a Large Body plush. Such a cuddly-looking thicc boi! 💙
  11. I’m not particularly either. I only like the Disney Afternoon and that’s because those shows lived up to a comparable quality of the feature films. At least in terms of narrative
  12. You make it sound like such a crime
  13. And I’m guessing AI art will fizzle out pretty quickly too. It’s already getting heavily criticized.
  14. I’m going to say almost certainly a famous person will die Minor recession is also looking very likely
  15. Except Elon Musk
  16. The thing that bugs me is Sora frequently* has difficulty putting 2 and 2 together. Like...it should not have taken him longer than *Goofy of all people to realize that Mulan was female.
  17. Sora is hardly the brightest crayon in the box, but yeah. I get where you're coming from.
  18. I mean, I don't want to go that far. I want Sora to be an emotionally-diverse character. I like COM for that reason, it shows Sora in a moment of weakness and lets us see a side of him we're not used to seeing.
  19. Probably the most accurate
  20. I'm not sure how to describe it either. Like...Star Wars feels like it could reasonably happen in our world. KH not so much.
  21. I mean...they're more realistic than magic, donald duck, spaceships, and key-swords all occupying the same space.
  22. I think "grounded" is the word you're looking for. KH tends to lean heavily into fantasy and the surreal.
  23. I'm not sure if "too mature" is accurate, but it definitely feels tonaly out of place.
  24. Trust me, you're not alone
