Idk if I'm alone in this but I've been having a really hard time being excited for KH4. As someone who really didn't like the visuals in Kingdom Hearts 3 I'm worried that the series inching ever closer to solely relying on Unreal Engine photo-realistic visuals is going to kill my enjoyment. One of my favorite things about Kingdom Hearts was its art style, with every game having that painterly airbrushed pillow-shaded look. It all looked very hand-crafted and you'd be forgiven for mistaking a lot of the character renders for paintings. It was incredibly distinct. But Kingdom Hearts 3 imo strayed so far from that and so far into the realm of flashy UE4 effects and real time lighting that it just absolutely didn't hit that vibe for me. I just kind of think that so far nothing about Kingdom Hearts 4 has looked like Kingdom Hearts to me, and I find that worrying.
