Pretty sure you can also turn that function off in the settings

Its still random though, just because you see it blinking doesn't mean much

I personally like random encounters more because they add more friction, but there should be an option to disable them for backtracking purposes. that way you get the best of both worlds

so it's not really random

your minimap will first glow yellow and then red and 1-2 seconds later an encounter triggers

it tells you when a fight happens

the thing is resonance doesn't even really have random encounters

it's very rare nowadays

i pray they have customization options for them in settings. like, there are so many open world games out now that have an "immersive mode" that shuts off most of the waypoints and markers for you to discover freely on your own
