I guess there just wasn't any time all things considered. It makes sense that Sora was more focused on helping Roxas considering all he's learned and the brief interactions they've had. Not to mention they met literally the day before the war. Meanwhile only Ven knows just how impactful Sora has been on his life. I guess he's naturally more focused on spending time with Aqua and rescuing Terra. While Sora of course gives his time to Kairi and Riku. It was all really bad timing and priorities spent on people they knew who needed them. Maybe Ven hoped that they'd have time afterwards? There was at least that one cute moment after saving Terra where Ven tried to follow Sora.

Ik KH isn’t into slice of life stuff but like

I was full on expecting Sora and Ven to have a moment akin to this vibe. You know, since Sora basically saved not only Ven three times but his friends too. But only Roxas and Sora got a lot of sibling moments (none more blatant then a vision of Roxas showing up during Hiro talking about Tadashi). Kind of strange we only got one moment and it's just a handshake after Ven realizes who he's talking to but doesn't elaborate. Meanwhile Sora's like, what up guy. Kay bye not Aqua. XD Okay maybe not that much. But the contrast is funny. I guess Nomura cared more about that Aqua connection to the whole Destiny trio. = P

I guess the question is what Chirithy has told Ven? Did Ven recognize Chirithy on some level as his or just see a cute critter and go into friend mode. Has Chirithy told Ven about his past? Chirithy was willing to just wait all alone until Ven died to reunite with him if it was better for Ven. I imagine Chirithy wouldn't tell Ven anything that ruined his current happiness. Not unless it somehow would help like whenever the Foretellers got active or if it helped Sora somehow? It really depends if Chirithy has bothered to say anything in the year timeskip?
