I think that Unchained X is the worst game in the whole franchise. That's right, I think that Re: Chain Of Memories, 358/2 Days, Re: Coded, and Dream Drop Distance are all better than this piece of crap because of one simple thing: you don't have to be Bruce flipping Wayne to play them. Now I know that it's a mobile game and mobile games tend to be Pay To Win but seriously, Square Enix? Were you really that hard up for cash? I mean, the fact that you have to buy all the good medals instead of being able to earn them in the game itself is bad enough but did you have to make it so damn random that only people with billion dollar incomes can afford to dump enough into it just to get anything half decent? And then there's the levels. Now, I know what you'll say, "just grind and you'll level up in no time". Except I can't grind because the damn AP gauge runs out too quickly and I have to wait twelve hours for it to refill! How the hell are there players that are level 250 when all I can barely manage is a measly 180? I downloaded it the very second it became available in North America! Either I must be insanely unlucky or I'm the only financially challenged player in a Union full of trust fund kids! And the worst part? I can't stop playing or else I'm going to miss all of the crucial plot points! Firetruck you, Square Enix, you colossal greedy assholes!

JP ver is different, they give you a butt load of jewels for FREE. So as a whole Unchained isn't bad but for the International version, it's only as bad as much you let it get to you.

There's a difference between Unchained X and Re: Chain of Memories and DDD: The latter two are good games, the former is not.

Keep in mind that Square Enix are the same company that created Final Fantasy: All The Bravest...*Shudder*, so it's no surprise that Unchained has considerable bias towards those who pay and the progression system just being generally terrible. I'm honestly glad I've not played too much of it, so I won't have to experience not getting the medals I want. I already deal with Overwatch's Loot Boxes, but those only give Cosmetics, so that's good...doesn't mean I can't be annoyed at the RNG. xD(I want Valkyrie Mercyyyyyyyy....)

But what I would consider the worst thing is that they have the audacity to hide crucial story details for us to understand KH3 and so on behind this Pay-To-Win, overly simple, load of old shit game. At least there are those who put themselves through said rubbish and put it on YouTube for others to see.

Considering that all together, that the international version has a much larger audience, not only does that make it bad but it's blantant favoritism. Japan's version is an overall better experience, but to the rest of the world it's a bad game that's clearly a cash grab. Even if you stay f2p we've reached a point in the game where you need guilted medals. It's pretty clear this game is going to push pay-to-play pretty hard.

I'm not going to deny what you said since I agree, especially with the favoritism. But I'm f2p but I have 4 guilted medals and I'm getting close to guilting more.

Go play the Japanese Version. After 60 days of playing in naux I achieved absolute nothing. After 50 days of playing Japanese Version I have illustrated mickey 130 percent guilt, Axel HD 130, kairi, bcm 100 percent, herc and Phil 100 percent.. You get the point. Making a 3k pull takes around 11 days in Japanese (only by 200 jewel quest and daily jewels). Start today while the anniversary is still going and next week you'll be twice as good as your naux account.

I would but I don't want to lose all the progress I've made and I wouldn't know where or how to even get it.

if you talking about the apk, you can get it from 3rd party site , i don't have iOS device so i don't know much about this part.

play both if you can. i agree with chiunion's statement that you can always play and catch up in JP anytime, but in Global once you missed certain thing it's might impact your future gameplay.

From a collectionist standpoint, yes, this is the worst game in the series because of its free to play nature, however, coming from a lore perspective and character perspective, it's one of the best. Why? well, these Forteller's are one of the most three dimensional characters in the franchise. They delve beyond archetypes and are the perfect catalyst to explore traiterory and doubt in the Kingdom Hearts series. Before Kingdom Hearts X came to be, we just assumed that the Keyblade War was a very general battle. This is far from a general plot.

Personally, I've never spent a dime in this game and I feel as though I don't have to. I'm able to accumulate 3000 Jewels if I want to with patience. And at the end of the day, the app itself is free, you can get good at the game without spending a single dime.

I absolutely agree, the story (what little of it we've gotten so far and I am deliberately trying to avoid spoilers) is really good but the problem is that you either need super strong medals to get through the ridiculous story bosses or you need a crap ton of jewels to keep reviving when you get one shot killed by these monsters. And since I have awful luck when it comes to medals, I need all the jewels I can get or else I'm screwed out of the plot. In fact, the second that the plot is finally done, I am dropping this game for good.

Truth be told, Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover will reveal all the lore relevant stuff regarding the Fortellers. You can just as easily forget about X once X Back Cover becomes available because all that X Back Cover is missing is all the stuff that happens in the filler Disney worlds.
