What i'm asking here is on what Square Enix Franchises would anybody here want to see as a world in the KH verse.

 

So far we have Final Fantasy and TWEWY characters used in the series so far, along with the confirmation of Shibuya as a potential world (although it'll be likely called something different, as SE generally avoids calling worlds their real world name if they are an actual place on Earth, with the exception of the POTC world, with the real Port Royal having been destroyed by an Earthquake).

 

So what franchises would people be interested in seeing as worlds?

 

Maybe a world from the FF games that could truly be used?

 

You could use other games that SE has created, like Dragon Quest, Nier, I am Setsuna or Tomb Raider.

 

Or maybe from their manga/anime like Fullmetal Alchemist (The one I want to see most), Soul Eater or Pandora Hearts.

I'd like to see a full FF world in a Kingdom Hearts game, not just the characters from it, FF6's World of Balance for instance, or Ivalice maybe. The most important thing whatever worlds they have in future games is the size of the world. Every world they've had in Kingdom Hearts is so small and congested, limited to a few screens at best when most if not all of them could be much larger. Open world is preferred but doubtful, really though just something with some space is really all that's needed. The big plains area in the Lion King world in Kingdom Hearts 2 for instance is what I'd say most of the screens should be like.

 

Ooh! A Chrono Trigger world would be awesome, though how they'd stick time travel with it I have no idea.

I agree that a Final Fantasy world would be interesting. The problem though is that the FF characters is they are generally already living as characters of another world. So it would have to be something like alternate versions of the FF characters (by this I mean the characters from the original games).

 

Imagine if Sora travelled to Spira during the events of FFX for example. He would meet a different version of Tidus, Wakka, Yuna and Rikku to the ones he knows (Ironically, the AuronHades brings back seems to be the one from FFX, so Auron would know Sora). So this would be a different Tidus to the one Sora grew up with on Destiny Island.

 

Because of this, it might be safer to use a FF world who's characters haven't been already used in KH, like Ivalice or Pulse.

 

Chrono Trigger would be interesting but with the rules of Time Travel already being set for the KH series it would be a bit difficult.

None, and I want it kept that way. At best, I just want the Square Enix characters to be cameos that fit into the respective Disney Worlds like they already are. There's way too many Disney properties to waste a slot with a Square Enix world.

 

Plus, San Fransokyo is too similar to Shibuya so Shibuya's not going to make the cut.

It was an interview with Tai Yasue stated that there was to be no FF based worlds for KH3. It didn't state any future titles (or even UX).

Well the thing with other franchises is there actually is a process to get permission to use them. That's a long sticky process so that's why I say none at all. I know it's asking if you want, but I think it won't matter what I want since it's a long process to begin with.

Nomura had barely anything to do with Chrono Trigger, that isn't going to happen unless there's a massive executive push (which itself isn't going to happen anytime soon).

Again, Nomura doesn't like to include things he didn't personally design (or otherwise have significant input in), the only real exception so far was Vivi from FF9 - only because the staff demanded it, and even then he tried to minimise Vivi's presence as much as possible.
