In the new Halloween event, there is an enemy called the golden trachoma with an X2 defence buff against all attacks. The event states that you need to beat within X turns for a large reward or it flees. In game,This number is above their heads

Just so you know, part of the event infomation is wrong, you need to beat them in that number of individual ATTACKS, not turns and each medal counts as 1 attack.

Just though I'd let you guys know, do I need to submit a bug report?

Quoting the description.

"But you'll need to be fast, because it will run away after a certain number of turns! You'll see a counter above its head indicating how many turns are left before it runs away"

I don't really think the description is wrong. It's just to advertise the Golden Trachoma's ability and the "large reward".

You have like a number of turns to think fast of the situation. And the only way is to do that, is what you just said. We will have to "beat them in the number of individual attacks".

Like this morning, I figured it out without reading the the description. I was thinking to myself that the number on top of their heads indicated a number of turns left to kill it.

I don't think it's necessary to submit a bug report.

Do it, maybe Square will give us more jewels chansub-global-emoticon-ddc6e3a8732cb50f

They did specifically say turns (ie. an entire revolution of the Keyblade wheel), not simply hits.

But I wasn't thinking the whole "entire revolution of the Keyblade wheel", hence the turns.

I was thinking one would obviously know that you needed to think fast of the situation, by attacking once per what ever turn is indicated on the top of the Golden Trachoma's head.

Report it.  I could always use more jewels.  :3  Need about a thousand more to get the female donald outfit.

I think I'll report it as an issue. I don't see how anyone could kill a high level gold mushroom in just one hit unless you have very specific medals

With the very specific medal you're able to kill it in one turn. Casing point: A guilted Jack or a specific medal that does more than 5 extremely attacks with STR and DEF of a 1000. Mostly for the challenges that are less stressful LV-wise. There is another that has a number 5 on its head which means you have to kill it within 5 turns instantly by using your Special Abilities. Mainly just use a high guilted medal to instantly kill it.

Update: The number at the top of their heads varies and they would randomly appear.

Numbers so far: 1, 5, 3? (I think...) Those numbers appear randomly.

I tried a 100% guilted jack with attack boost 2, even the level 25 survived that

And yeah, number appears to be random.

Sorry, I messed up explaining.

Do you have an attack medal that does more than 5 attacks? Like KH 3D Sora, KH 3D Riku, Illustrated Riku, Xenmas (I really don't know about Xenmas, you can try him.)? If you do, you may want to use either one of them for the LV 25 Golden Trichoma with the #1 on its head. I used Illustrated Riku on it, and it killed it.

Guilted 100% Jack is a whole lot better for a Golden Trichoma that has like 5 at the top at his head. He'll save you a few turns to finish the job, if you have some really good medals.

Okay :)

I'm still convinced a level 75 with a 1 or 2 above it's head is currently impossibel

Sorry for the double post and bump. But I did send a ticket through support and this came back today:

Thank you for contacting SQUARE ENIX support,

We apologize for the delay in our response. In regards to the "Earn Event Coins Get Halloween Avatars!" Event [event period: October 21, 2016 12:00 a.m. to November 3, 2016 11:59 p.m. (PDT)] notice, the previous version of this notice incorrectly stated that the counter above the Gold Tricholoma's head corresponded to the number of turns remaining. However, the counter actually corresponds to the number ATTACKS remaining.

We apologize for this error and any inconvenience caused. Thank you for playing Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X and best of luck in battle!

Thank you for contacting the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.

I'm not 100% sure what this means, but they will most likely just correct he event text. (Which they have done)
